This hotel is strategically located; it is near the palace of the current Surakarta sultanate, not to far from the “batik” market, and just a walk away to the evening food stalls near the old Vastenburg fort. The rooms are considerable a bit smaller than other common hotels of the same class. More attention to the maintenance of the rooms, cleanliness must be improved too, even it is not an issue in the rooms but the public spaces requires constant attention. Relates to improve services, trainings to the staff will be useful. Finally, during my stay in this hotel, I found out that more lightings are required in the restaurants, hallways and public area, as well as more attention to safety and health protocol.

I had pleasant stay here. The hotel location is in the city center. The room was comfy. They provided prayer mat and Al Quran in the room since it's a syariah hotel. Compare to the price offered, we got more than we expected.

Pros: - Strategic location. - Places to eat and several touristic places are reachable on a 5-minute walk. At night, across from the hotel, there is a delicious soup/soto, satay, and getuk (traditional Javanese snack) stall. Cons: - The rooms are not well maintained; the walls are damp and moldy, and there is no refrigerator. - The restaurant is too cramped. Limited variety of food for breakfast, and the staff are not all ready yet at breakfast time (egg and kebab stalls). If there are many guests (which happened in our case), there is a possibility of not getting a seat and running out of food. - The parking lot is limited, and there is a possibility of not getting a place, so you have to park your car on the side of the highway (which also happened during our stay). - The swimming pool is only for kids with limited facilities. - The most unpleasant experience: the hotel staff forced their way into our room, where we had already put a "DO NOT DISTURB" sign, tidied up (and picked up) our stuff, including our camera and personal things, even though we hadn't checked out yet. I have to confront their front officer (which I actually don't have to do) to solve this unpleasant experience.

Stayed at Horison Aziza Solo because of some situation and overall experience was 7.8/10. Good things : nice and calm ambience, clean lobby, warm welcome drink, good location, quite affordable, bed and room okay but not so special, good shower and wifi and ac just fine. Need improvement : need to tell the guest first if only smoking room left. I was in the middle of something and the housekeeping knocking and asked whether the room has been 'conditioned' or not bcs my room was a smoking room. :( And please add more breakfast personnel to clean up the dishesh on th table faster.

Nearby keraton n pasar klewer, the bedroom is good n clean. Breakfast is average. You can find many food stalls at night near the hotel.

Walking distance to many culinary joints and iconic places. Staff were kind and the rooms as expected. There's a nice musholla, and also a quran and praying mat in every room.

Good hotels, good service. Value for money

Staff are friendly, but the cleanliness of the hotel is somehow very disappointing, from the bed sheet, the blanket, the toilets, all of them are quite dirty I'd say. There were marks on the blankets, disgusting. We had to request a change of bed sheets and all, but even the substitute sheets looks yellowish, not white. Unsanitary. I guess the staff is not quite professional, very slow to work with. Parking is spacious, food in the restaurant looks not fresh, I could tell by the crust over watery food that looks like its just reheated from the day before. The price was also quite high for a stay like this. Very disappointed.

It seems that this hotel is an old hotel but recently bought by Horison hotel network, thus making this hotel got Horison in its name. Their service is actually good. Expected from Horison's portfolio. The shower is actually on the downside. It is clearly an old shower nozzle and it is facing directly to the bottom without any angle.
