It was our first ever stay in Grand Mercure Solo Baru. Located just beside The Park Mall is a plus point. That was 1 of the factor we chosed to stay here. Parking available quiet a lot outside Hotel Lobby. Also available 2 basements for big parking lot. Though I found it was a little cramped in the basement, but I had no problem parking in and out during our stay. Lobby, it was not that grand but all was fine and good. This was originally Best Western Hotel then bought by Accor group recently, last year if not mistaken. So actually from the interior, it felt a fine old hotel but then Accor did some renovation, well done. Check in process easy and fast. And for safety, only guests with card-key can use elevator to their room floor. Once you touch the card-key to the scanner, it was automaticaly showed your rooms' level. Public can only goes to 2nd floor (Crystal Restaurant, meeting rooms), 3rd floor (Swimming Pool and Gym), and 3M floor (Spa and indoor Children playground). Available a lot of Lifts, 5 if not mistaken, so it was very convenient to use lift. Rooms, as mention before, rooms also got renovated. It was a spacious 30m² room. Clean and no bad smell (we asked for no smoking floor). Very satisfying! Price, not cheap but quiet worth it. Downside : We stayed at connecting rooms and 1 room' AC was not working properly. It was cold enough but we can feel that other room had much cooler though we set same temperature and fan for each room. If possible, need brighter room for me personally. Not big problem though.

The Rooms are Old and not good value for the price ,, amenities are low standard and sanitary items like toilet paper , you get less than half a roll for use between a few people . No food menus in the rooms for room service , so unable to eat or see what's on offer . The TVs are so old you can't use for Netflix use or anything internet related. Views are ok from the higher floors . A large Mall is located next door. This should be a $30 room , not $150 ,, its way overpriced and would never consider staying here again . Loa living for $40 , itcwas easy 1000 times cleaner and more modern than this old hotel

Aging hotel, maintenance can be better. All the furniture are not maintained. Water spots, cracks. Looks old. The owner does not care of the maintenance. Beds are acceptable and clean. Room is clean. Small renovation of the furniture and lighting can go far. Not a grand mercure standard like Jakarta.

A four star hotel located in Solo Baru Sukoharjo. Overall is nice. Room is standard but amenities is very good. Food taste good but the breakfast time is very crowded. Choose around 9-10 for more spacious. The pool is large and clean. Bathroom clean. All is good but nothing stand out. Typical of business hotel.

Room is great but the suggestion of the reception about taking breakfast delivered to my room is kinda weird because we find the restaurant is not that full. the receptionist would better to say "the restaurant maybe gonna kinda crowded in the tomorrow morning, if you having trouble to find table to eat we can deliver the food to your room" than "would you take the breakfast to delivered to your room?"

The staffs are very unprofessional and rude. Even most of the front desk executives didn't make any eye contact while interacting. I was given used bed linens and pillow cover. It was midnight, I called front desk and complained. They informed me someone would come and replace those. Even after waiting for 30 minutes nobody turned up. I called again repeatedly but they didn't answer my call. I had to come down all the way and spoke to duty manager. Very unfriendly executives. They need to be trained. I don't know how Accor group selected this hotel.

I stayed here for a business trip. They have an excellent service. All of them, the receptionists, the waitress at the restaurant, the cleaning, the security as well at the gym. Especially The receptionist, named Aji, he is very nice and high level of hospitality, and always smiling. The room is Ok. All works well. Just don't expect much for the room, but no complaints. The heater works well. That's one of most important for me. The fitness center is very good, the equipments work well and the good ones. Variety of foods for breakfast at the restaurant. But during my stay, the restaurant is very busy, means many guess. I believe many people agree with this and that's why people choose to stay here. I would stay here again whenever I'll need to come back to Solo. Thank you Grand Mercure Solo and staff for give me an excellent service ... 💯💯💯

Used to be Western Hotel with small upgrades on the facilities. Room is good actually but not 100 percent secure from the smell of cigarette smoking regardless you stay on the smoke free floors. Food and swimming pool are great.

Good hotel and comfortable beds. Spacious and clean room. We stayed overnight at Room 1921. High floor but still could hear the traffic at the main road. Walking distance to The Park Mall.

Everything took a long time at this place. Our room had no working Cable TV coverage which was a big deal since we spent a lot of time in there, the AC was not cool even at the lowest temp setting, room service tool forever to come and rather pricey, the number for room service was often busy, no dedicated line for housekeeping, everything had to be through reception first. Theres no physical menu for room service to browse through. No minibar. On the upside laundry was speedy and clean although on the expensive side. Front desk was not thorough and kind of sloppy. The hotel is supposed to be 4-star and part of Accor. Go figure.

Stayed here for 2 nights in last May when this was still Best Western. Had a pleasant staycation with my kid. Good building, room was comfy, staffs were friendly and helpful, many restaurants and mall nearby. There was also a kid playground and kid swimming pool. Would love to stay here again if we visit Solo.

Stay here for 3 nights at very special room. Clean and comfort. Feel like home but more. Close to City of Solo and street food market too.

Roo was OK, the service is poor! I had terrible experience from parking and go up to the room, elevator is slow steamed, very slow and the capacity the elevator needs to ber reviewed! I was just at least spend 11-14 muns to wait and to up and down. And no body from hotel' to help guests with such troubled time. At the moment I think so many hotels at the same price and stars that offer waayy better, won't come back.

Exceed my expectation. The staff specially Mas Bakti very helpful and hands on from the reservation process and during we stay there. All the staff was very helpful and have a good initiative. Room very spacious, clean, and neat Variety of food was Great! You have a nice view and fresh air on your breakfast. Location was very strategic, just a step ahead to everywhere you need. Definitely will come back for next trip

Worst experience. Impolite staff and duty manager. Kept defending themselves, they forgot that bad review were not only written on websites, but can be spreaded by word of mouth. Be aware that they didn't keep check in and check out properly. Came ard 3 but the room weren't ready. Also, one of our room curtain fell. Won't recommend and wouldn't comeback.

MAAAAAANNNN!!! THIS PLACE IS DOPE! A lot of good food around, basic swimming pool, but okay. Nice breakfast, good view. But man... At the last day I stay, the aircon got broken, people sweatin!!! If it's not for the aircon situation, it would be a perfect 5 stars! But still, delightful experience nonetheless.

The guest services staff is friendly and helpfull. The room is amazing, clean, and tidy. The breakfast menu selection as a 5 stars hotel is lil bit disappointed harris hotel did better in this case eventhough they are not 5 stars. I would suggest to book room only if you want to stay here and having breakfast by the park mall or Mc donald just next to the hotel that you can reach by walking for 3 minutes. The fitness center also disappointment spot in this property. F&B staff not so attentive

I came here for meeting, in 1st and 2nd floor. The meeting rooms were spacious and clean, no complaint for the sound, and the foods were ok. But I'm a bit disappointed of the restroom cleanliness in both floors. It's just not like what a 5 stars hotel standard. The floor was sticky, many of door locks were broken, water left in washtafel, in some place there's even dirt from shoes left. I hope Grand Mercure could give more attention to meeting areas, instead of just improve the hotel facilities.

This hotel quality is not living up to Mercure standards. Even though the staff were trying to be friendly, they clearly lacked training. Reception did not properly greet guests; did not explain hotel services. The room was not ready even though they TXT’d and called me to confirm my arrival. Lobby has smoking smell. Rooms were aging. Hangers paints were peeling. Breakfast was just OK. Some fruits and desserts were not fresh. It took 20 minutes to wait for hot water with lemon.

Located in Solo Baru area next to the Solo mall. It is one of the best place to stay in Solo. The room is clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and profession. Parking available down in 2 basement levels. The convention centre and meeting rooms are available with different entrance lobby.

If you're looking for a hotel near to the latest Mal in Solo, this is it. You can walk around 5 mins to reach The Park Mal in Solo Baru (Sukoharjo if I am not mistaken). The hotel was Ok, nothing bad, nothing special. 1 thing for sure is they need to revitalise the room and make it more modern. I truly appreciate they put plastic bag in their trash bin 🥲. The pool is ok, the water is clear, the food is also ok with a lot of local choices.

The lounge at 21st floor is a nice place to enjoy a drink with a good view of the town

I think it's the best hotel in Sukoharjo. I spent two nights here and I was quite satisfied with the service, the food, and the cleanliness. This hotel is also located in a vibrant business area in Sukoharjo, which is Solo Baru district. You could go to the mall and shopping center by foot.

Love their room with big bathtub, tv channel is dissapointing though. Four star hotel with tv channel quality on par with 4star budget hotel. Breakfast is so so as well, nothing special about their breakfast. The premiere title is hard to justify

I stayed in 2 connecting room 16-17 August with the expectation the hotel applied strict health and safety rules during this pandemi. The hotel staffs were absolutely friendly and nice. But when we went for bfast at 17 August, I was quiet shocking how the health protocol was not applied well. I saw a visitor without mask taking food and had conversation with the hotel staff who served him right in front of the open buffet. I asked the hotel staff is it ok for customer not wearing mask ? And what made me shock was she answered yes it is OK.. I was so upset and feeling insecure to had breakfast there.

One of best and affordable hotel in Solo city. This hotel have traditional Javanese design, cozy place, a lot variety of breakfast, comfy bed and complete facility. They also have bathup for deluxe room and infinite pool. They also give me fruit during check in process

Check in time is quite long... Cleanliness needs to be improved (one of our rooms got sticky things on the floor). Food quality needs be controlled well (during our stay, we got 'rotten' watermelon 😑😑) but the staffs are welcomed 😊😊

Used to really like this place. However, it seems like the hotel is not well maintained. There are quite a number of minor disturbance regarding the room facilities.

(+) The staff were very helpful and nice. The room was spacious and clean, there is a bath tub also. The bed was huge and nice. There were some complimentary snack and drinks in the room. They have the most complete amenities from A-Z Various selection menu for breakfast buffet. (-) 1. We were staying on the 11th floor, yet the noise from the street was heard quite loud. The noise from the hallway was also disturbing. They need to improve the sound-proofing. 2. We have our second bath, and found out that the water was brownish and very visible in the bath tub. 3. There have 5 elevators but all of them were so busy, we have to wait for quite long especially during the breakfast and checkout hours.

I would love to give this hotel a five star rating. The pros were : the room was large, the bathroom was also decently appointed with amenities, the breakfast spread was quite extensive and the WiFi connection was commendable (a big plus was the signage with compliment from AQUA and the additional glass and wine glass) The cons was the price is a bit expensive compared to other hotels that were located inside the actual solo town itself My recommendation would be to pared down the price a bit (by 50-100k) to 670-620k/night for the superior rooms. Otherwise, this hotel was quite perfect

I stayed for 1 night. Overall, the stay was okay. Pros: fair price with spacious room, decent hotel-service, great location (next to the park solo mall and 400m from hartono mall) Cons: standard interior (some parts seems quite old and unclean)

The hotel is standard, seems not ready for full occupancy. Water in shower, bath tub and washing basin was not clean, had to let it run for 30mins to finally have clear water. Provided welcome drink and cakes.

This hotel stayed at Solo Baru, and still no competitor in this arround area. Nice taste for breakfast, clean for swimming pool, enough space for parking area. Interesting and hospitality stay in there.

Rooms is very spacious, room amenities is okay. Shower in room number 8011 surely needs a repair. TV in room is only for channel, can not play netflix. The internet is very good. Breakfast is tasty and many variant we can choose. I was getting non smoking room, but ashtray is available in my room. So strange. Lobby smells lemongrass or citronella is very nice, rooms corridor smells fresh coffee. The reception is very nice but not very helpful when we ask for making our rooms be in same floor. The hotel has very big convention hall, suitable for hold big event.

We recently stayed at the Grand Mercure for nine nights in a junior suite, and want to start out by mentioning some of the positives. First of all the food was really good each day at the buffet breakfast, and the same can be said of our other meals at the same restaurant. The facility itself was well kept, and the staff were professional and highly attentive. That said, there were two fairly significant negatives, that would prevent me from ever staying at this hotel again. First of all is the noise level coming from the attached convention center on this hotel. Almost every night from about 7:00pm till about 10:30pm-11:00pm there were concerts at extremely loud volume levels. As someone coming from overseas, and needing to go to bed early and waking up early, these concerts were impossible to sleep through. The entire room was vibrating, and the large glass front window for our room was literally shaking. Yes - way, way, too loud. I can't understand how management (those who make decisions behind the scenes) of the hotel allow this. I was told repeatedly that these concerts always end at 10:00pm promptly, but that was rarely the case. The other issue with this hotel is the elevator setup. There's just simply not enough elevator capacity for a hotel of this size. On top of that, people get frustrated waiting for elevators so on almost every floor people will push both the up and down buttons, causing most of the elevators to stop at these floors. To make matter worse, hotel staff will take one or two of the elevators offline if they feel it's not busy. I simply could not understand the logic behind this - however maybe there's a reason... If you like good breakfast food, don't plan on sleeping every night until 11pm, and don't mind waiting sometimes 10 minutes to get on an elevator, then maybe this is a choice. However, not for me...

What used to be a four star thriving hotel is now a meer relic of its former self, I remember when I came here for the 1st time in 2015 it was my favourite hotel in solo not only because the value for money and it’s location beside the park mall but also how clean and sophisticated it looked. My last visit here was in 2019 and even then it was the highlight of my trip to solo, Unfortunately things have changed. So new management and a fancy new name for a run down dirty hotel, and I dunno who they paid for the extra star but I can tell you now it doesn’t deserve 3 stars never mind 5. The interior is dirty and damaged in places stains on the walls and dirty carpets. To be honest I’d go easier on the place if they lowered their prices but instead they have gone up. Very disappointed

Nice and really comfort hotel to stay.. with very friendly and professional staff.. And someone said that, "if you wanna know if the food at the resto is delicious, you have to try the omellete first.. if it tasty, than all of the menus are good.." And yes.. one of the best omellete that ive ever eat..
