Had a very excellent and comfortable stay at Roemahkoe Heritage Hotel, and for such a reasonable price, given the great value they offer. I was intrigued by pictures of the Javanese and colonial architecture and design of the hotel, and was even more surprised how beautiful and very well kept it was when I arrived in person. Was happy to be escorted to my room with running air condition, and a luxurious bathroom which ran hot water in seconds. Wifi was great, and having cable TV was fun. Couldn't believe what a treat I was in for, especially for the affordable rate I was paying. Pak Tata and Pak Sugih who were on duty during my stay were very, very accommodating and helpful, informing me of their 22.00 WIB closed gate policy, but leaving me the night guards contact if I was returning or was going to head out late. Only thing that could be improved on is the sound proofing of the rooms, could still pick up a lot of the other guests chatters, outside traffic and the Javanese sinden music which they play throughout the day at the lobby and resto. But other than that, was all great!

Great hotel in a good location in Solo. Rooms are a good size, with stained glass windows, and good lighting. Bedding provided was clean and new. WiFi was available in the rooms but not the most reliable. Would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Solo!

Do yourself a big favor and look elsewhere as I do not recommend this hotel since I submitted my review on Agoda and it wasn't published and you'll definitely know why! Reviews mentioned clearly 4/5 or on Agoda 8-10/10 I think it's scam to drag your legs in. Better lookout and thank me later!

Time travel to the past and live in a different era. The ambiance and the rooms are bespoke and unmatched. This is a very important site of culture as well as for Batik in Indonesia. They have their own private entrance to the Batik village behind them as well as their own batik workshop and showroom. The staff is kind friendly. We came here for one night but extended our stay. Don't miss out on staying here

Beautiful old hotel in Solo. It looks like a museum, so interesting. Very comfortable room with hot water and ac. Good value for money and a good location. Will stay again next time I’m in Solo. The delicious breakfast was ruined by a customer/staff (not sure which) playing music loudly on her laptop. She obviously hadn’t heard of earphones, or maybe just doesn’t consider others?

First impression, beautiful vintage hotel. I was attracted by the photos. Seeing it in person was a wow moment. Even the key is old style. Painted glass, warm lighting, Lots of interesting photos & books. So pretty. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The price is affordable. Very good. But then, it's super noisy. Motorcycles rushing at night til dawn. Late night guests coming back. Closing the door needs a bit of force. Bathroom noises from the next room. We can't sleep peacefully here. Wifi is not working properly, often disconnected. Mosquitos in the room. Spiderwebs.

The place is nice, unfortunately we couldn't get a non smoking room as these were not available any more. Location is good. Stayed just one night.

The gate is locked without staff or security guard who standby. No emergency exit at all. If you want to walk nearby areas in the morning, you have to wait the staff come to work and open the gate for you

This vintage hotel is centrally located, it's near Alun2 Kidul Surakarta (5km), Keraton Surakarta (5km) or big malls. I had a very late check in (around 23:30 WIB), the gate was closed (with good reason, since the hotel is located on a big and busy road), but their staff came and things went smooth. - The bed was comfy, the pillows were flat - The bathroom was clean, but the hot water was not working - It's an old hotel, so expect old hotel vibes (nothing spooky, I felt safe and slept soundly).

Charming hotel with lovely staff. The rooms were nice, we had hot water and everything worked well. The food at the restaurant was okay but we had better food elsewhere. Overall can recommend staying here and it's a good value for money.

The place is marveleous if you want to feel an old Dutch house. But due to pandemic situation me & my wife are the only guest with 4 employees of the house, can not shake the weird feeling ha ha ha, overall top notch & hats off to the owner who still preserve such a place

A heritage hotel in Solo, the Hotel is full with antiques and is a registerd cultural heritage site. With a lot of photos that is related to the history the cleanliness and services is also good makes the place homey. Owned by Nina a local blue blood and wife of politician Akbar Tanjung, the house has been passed thru generations and is very well maintained

Nice, homy hotel with a pleasant ambience and spacious rooms with unique designs. There is a big pavilion with a restaurant in the middle of the hotel with good traditional food and relatively cheap prices and a small cafe at the front for coffee lovers. Staff are also very friendly and helpful. Very good price for value.

Beautiful place in Solo. Old heritage. My family loves to stay here. Feels like back to 1900's , and every room has its own design. Cheap but satisfying. The menus are so delicious. Notes : sometimes water-flush in toilet is not working
