Firstly, this used to be our favourite hotel. We even came from another city to try to relax. BUT.... Just read this nightmare trip. Night number 1: the air conditioner was dripping water and there was no hot water. They had to fix both air con and hot water, with mechanic in our room. Water wasn't hot in the whole hotel. At night there are big frogs outside and they are extremely loud, I never thought this could be so annoying. We changed room to another side, however, as soon as we got there another air conditioner was broken and couldn't be turned off or changed. Sensor broken. Finally, at 10pm we could change to a 3rd room which air con was working but toilet broken and wouldn't flush. Night number 2: mechanic fixed toilet during the day but the tap in bathroom in bath tub wasn't working, only in the shower head. Okay we ignored that because we don't want another day spent with mechanic. Evening comes, outside the balcony there is a building on hotel property which had a birthday party. They were screaming and speaking through a microphone until 11pm. I tried to ask receptionist if they can do something but receptionist only talking, didn't do anything. Even ignored my call at one point. Another evening which we couldn't sleep or relax the way we expect in a hotel. Overall, the first two times we stayed in Lorin it was up to standard of 5 star hotel. This time, it was disappointing to say the least. Many things need fixing, nobody does quality control so be prepared to find broken objects and have mechanic in your room. Also, I am guessing they have parties going on sometimes so you could be staying at the same time as a party until 11pm. This hotel is not 5 star anymore, it's 3 star. This was my final time in Lorin, until they respond or prove that they are quiet and 5 star.

The Lorin Solo Hotel operates three accomodation facilities: the resort style hotel, a budget-hotel wing and the additional shariah accomodation. My recent stay at the resort style hotel was not satisfactorily. I stayed here for two nights and had to change my room due to lack of facilities within the premises. The rooms of the resort style hotel seems to have aged and lack of refurbishing made it not meeting the standard for its five-star class. The amenities are cheap, the room utilities are limited, and the towels were old. The staff is helpful but the service is slow and requires better control. The hotel’s location is also to far from the Solo’s city center.

Supposed to be a very nice hotel with beautiful design and layout. Spacious room with a terrace. Unfortunately, it is outdated and not well maintained. The water pressure was low, and the hot water was barely there.

I've stayed twice in the Executive Room with terrace and every time I've stayed here, I've felt right at home. The rooms are spacious, super comfortable and with a modern x traditional look and feel. Breakfast is top quality, lots of choice and very tasty. The location itself is strategically located on the main road, on Sundays there are CFD events in front of the hotel, and I also fell in love with their swimming pool. Will definitely be back again 😍

Luckily got last minute booking for two nights in this hotel. Managed to book during hectic lebaran time. The hotel is nice and clean albeit showing its age, the staffs are very friendly and accommodating. We went swimming in the pool and overall staying here was a pleasant experience, planning to stay here again when in Solo

A quaint, exotic hotel. Needs rejuvenation as many things are no longer functioning properly. It's still cosy because of the large garden, spacious rooms, balcony, free fitness, swimming pool, and beautiful surroundings.

I have a quite love and hate relationship with this hotel on my first stay and probably my last too. First I am going to describe the positive sides first: 1. The phone administrator is very quick on answering the phone call on the first ring. That's a good impression for guest who seeks for some help. Eventhough the help comes quite late, at least they listen and respond it fast. 2. The receptionists are very friendly, also the staff, they perform a good hospitality towards the guests 3. They have a good public facility that is in line with their hotel theme "religious", in which they have many prayer rooms (musholla), I think in every floors. They also have a good kids indoor playground near the lobby. They have a spacious parking area for cars. Wifi is working well 4. They located in strategic position eventhough quite far from the city center, but at least near from several good restaurants and cafe and food street stalls, so it is also easy to order some online foodies. The negative sides: 1. Honestly if the theme isn't "religious hotel" I wouldn't want to stay here because the building is huge but sooooo old. Also I think the building isn't well maintained because there are lots of cracks and damage here and there. Also the furnitures and ambiance is sooo vintage. What made me shocked was, they placed me on a room in 5th floor right in front of pantry room. When I arrived there at evening, the pantry door was opened, that made us could see the inside situation without intention. My mom was shocked because it seemed so creepy and totally mess. My mom initiate to close the door without stopping to pray. We were quite afraid to go outside afterward. 2. The bathroom was soooo old, broken and rusty. When I open the tap water, the first water came out was soo dirty and brown color. The upper shower is also rusty and the ceiling fan sounds sooo loud because it's broken. And the ultimate dissapointment was the toilet was broken, I don't know why the flush can't work properly so my *peeeeepp* came out again from the hole. After trying to open the toilet box and manually flash using dustbin and everything, finally those *peeep* can go inside again after a long struggle. The hotel janitor came after I successfully doing it on my own. OMG that was nightmare. 3. The next morning when we were about to have breakfast in the restaurant, they said that our voucher without breakfast. I was a bit surprised because I ordered from Agoda and I remembered before I click order that the price was included the breackfast that worth xxxx IDR. I know that I only paid a cheap amount (about 380k IDR), but when I realize that I paid that hotel with that quality, without breakfast? oh no I am a bit disappointed again 4. My daughter wanted to swim and we could swim in the Lor-In hotel that still one group with them that was located beside this hotel. We need to take a walk for 5 minutes and paid 25k IDR/each person to enter. All in all, when I visited Solo again, it's better to pay more and get better facilities rather than saving some money but getting a disappointing experience. I give 6/10 for this hotel, hopefully they can improve a lot aspects : cleanness, lighting, facility etc

Too many pretty spots to take pictures! The garden and outdoor area was stunning 🌳🌺🌻πŸͺ΄πŸ’› Morning or evening stroll around the hotel was lovely with fish pound and greeneries all over the places. Breakfast was ok and staff's service was good. Sadly the air con couldn't work properly and hot water didn't run in the morning even tho we got it for the evening shower.

A quite affordable hotel with Islamic syariah concept. It is an old building but really massive one. Cons: 1. When we got into the room, it was dirty. Seemed like it was not cleaned after used. The floor was dirty, and hairs were everywhere on the floor. 2. The bed sheet and the blanket were disgusting! There were brown stains all over the fabrics. 3. The ac was really noisy. It sounded like going to explode anytime soon. 4. No swimming poll or gym. It is a downside compared to the price. We had to swim in the next hotel (managed by the same company) for another fee. 5. It was weird that they gave only 1 glass in the bathroom, when the room was for 2 people. 6. The room was a bit smelly. 7. The exhaustion in the bathroom did not work, so you literally will take shower in the fog if you use hot water to shower. Pros: 1. The service is great! They are polite, nice, and responsive. We called for the bedsheet, and they changed it immediately. 2. The breakfast menu was great. There were a lot of choices, eventhough 85% were Indonesian cuisine. No meat, sausage, or whatsoever. I do not think I will stay again here. Sorry.

This hotel seems like an old hotel. The room was rather aged and the bed are not comfy. The bathroom was so and so. In my mind a syariah hotel should be modest and clean. However. The bfast was good and pleanty. I hope the owner take this comment as a motivation for a better future

It's my second visit here. Although it wasn't my best choice but I still prefer this hotel because it's 'syariah'. We stayed at Aisyah room with no breakfast. The room itself is good, bed & bathroom were clean. Although over all, cleanliness of the room still need improvement, some dust on the floor & inside cabinets, also small trashes were still found. Maybe because we visited at high holidays season, so the services weren't good enough. I think the AC unit is an old type, because its control panel is fixed on the wall & there are no remote control. Comfortable is so-so, because I can still hear sounds another room & noises from the hallway. And I got a room with no good view (kind of disappointed). For the management, this needs improvements, on the cleanliness, comfortnes, emergency sign (I can't find emergency route map in the room), paper & pencil (I can find these in mostly hotel room but not here), restaurant menu book (?), & bathroom amenities.

You can find several minor issues for the room. Although all is functioning, but it's like a take a cut on the maintenance. The air conditioner is noisy, the toilet is wobbly (when you sit down, you can feel that the toilet isn't properly secure), some of things looks like dirty. But, the service was excellent, food for breakfast have many options and great taste. Although it has several minor issues, I find it still acceptable if you remember that this hotel price is average. When you transit in Solo, you may consider to stay in this hotel given by reasonable price and acceptable rooms with great service.

It’s a great resort hotel in Solo. Very affordable. It’s an old hotel but well maintained. I love how spacious the room is. The whole resort is so huge and has lots of areas that are kid-friendly. Breakfast is so so. They also have Syariah hotel which is even cheaper but only good if u dont have any options. Somewhere to stay the night in. I prefer the resort hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lorin, an old hotel in Solo, and I must say, it truly deserves a glowing five-star review. Despite its age, this hotel stands tall and competes with newer establishments in the area. What sets Lorin apart from the rest is the intangible something that you can't quite find in any other hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. It seemed as though they anticipated my needs before I even had a chance to ask. Their genuine warmth and eagerness to assist made me feel right at home. The architecture of Lorin is truly a sight to behold. The unique building is adorned with intricate traditional ornaments, giving it a distinct and captivating charm. As if that weren't enough, I was pleasantly surprised when I witnessed a live karawitan performance right in front of the hotel. This added touch further enhanced the already delightful ambiance of the place. While my experience at Lorin was almost flawless, I do have one small suggestion for improvement. It would be wonderful to see a wider variety of food options available during breakfast. This would cater to the diverse tastes of guests and provide an even more satisfying start to the day. Overall, my stay at Lorin was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of friendly staff, unique architecture, and attention to detail truly set this hotel apart. I highly recommend Lorin to anyone seeking a remarkable and memorable stay in Solo. It is a true gem that deserves all five stars.

Stayed here with family during my visit to Solo after a long while. Sad to see some of the facilities have degraded, probably due to pandemic cost cutting challenges. Although this hotel originally has excellent ambience, rooms, swimming pool, gardens, tennis court, etc. The surprising part was there were 3 cockroaches in my room and on my last day, my room was cleaned up before checking out... I had water bottle and milk for my kids thrown away by the house keeping. I observed a lot of staff were trainees... Breakfast wasn't special. Hopefully hotel management can bring back this hotel into awesomeness again

I was expecting my old room in the old building, but got this room at de wangsa. But it's just as great experience, with newer room. Room's great, has a balcony. Location is a little bit far from city center, though, and with a little traffic jam in times, it could take severeal minutes to get into town. That being said, it's still a great place to stay.

Top quality of service, house keeping, laundry. Fast delivery and responsive, staff are friendly and easy to communicate to. Restaurant and food too not bad with local food to be served like bakso sup, nasi goreng kambing, local fruits like buah salak, papaya,...and many more. New wing and old wing to opt for, suggest you try the old wing first which is more to Bali style and building serounding by many trees and flowers. Love the men made ponds with many koi fish, buy fish food to feed them. Fantastic and relaxing environment decoration. Quiet and cool at night. Recommended

A 4 hectares hotel with a lot of open space. However, please be careful when you get the offering to book D'Wangsa rooms. They call it the standard room, but you could get a very basic room, with cheap furniture, a bit smelly and not so nice bathroom. The Lorin hotel Solo used to be an excellent hotel to stay in, but probably pandemic hit them hard so probably the management need to lower their standard of service. When I was there, the rate for D'Wangsa was indeed quite lower, but looked at the quality of the room, even the cheap price felt too expensive. I recommend you to book another hotel, but if for any reason you need to stay in this hotel, please ensure you don't get the D'Wangsa rooms. Better ask for the so-called exclusive rooms, which rate is higher, but at least you could sleep well, get proper breakfast and still have good staying experience.

This hotel has been around since 25 years ago. Amazed by the current condition still clean, well maintained and high quality furniture. Breakfast menu variety from western food to traditional javanese food. Also a lot of open space with greens and trees surrounding the hotel making it more comfy. There is a set of traditional javanese instrument in the lobby (called Gamelan), entertain hotel guest every evening. I recommend this hotel if you stay in Solo. I personally stayed a few times everytime I visited this city.

I was disappointed with the bathroom. The water flow from the shower and bathtub tap was so little that it was barely useful for take a bath. The air conditioner in my bedroom was leaked and the position was near the mirror, so I wasn't comfortable when I dressed up there. About the breakfast, the food were delicious. However, the placement of the cutleries (dishes, spoon, fork) wasn't appropriate that I was confused where they were. When I walked at night, there was a cockroach creeped out. I'd like to stay again at this hotel, as long as the repair is done

A little story of my stay here. I wasn't planning on checking in on the hotel at first. But the event i was attending at in the hotel hall finished up pretty late so i decided to do a booking via an app. Since it's probably pretty sudden, during check in the room type that i ordered turn out to be all booked. So they actually replace it with a bigger one without additional fee!! I was lucky! The staff was nice, they give you a smile every time you happen to pass one. The garden view from my room is really nice. They also have a spacious outdoor swimming pool. There are also a pond near the restaurant so you won't get bored while enjoying your breakfast. Overall a nice stay.

The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Amazing place to stay. High quality and very spacious rooms. They provide high quality hospitality. They have pool, gym, and tennis courts. A very nice place to stay if you decide to stay for several days travel, solo or with family. The pool is amazing, it would be amazing if the pool is open until 7PM instead of 6PM. Since the pool view is amazing at night. Please carry extra plugs if you need to charge multiple devices, they only provide 1-2 each room, but not an issue. Kindly check my photos.
