This place is a major tourist trap and not to mention, is VERY unethical towards animals. Made me feel so uncomfortable being here as you have to pass all of this to get up the mountain to see waterfall 2. Elephant riding - they looked miserable and were being taken on routes that were very unnatural to their usual habitat and were surrounded by moving quad bikes???, as well as signs saying that they perform tricks, baby elephants were pacing around in the small cages they were kept in... the 'attraction' here being to pay 100 baht to feed them 1 banana. Cobra chanting, monkey shows, photo ops with lepords and tigers, a crocodile show and an exotic animal zoo...! This is the 21st century, why on earth do people feel the need to be treating the animals in this way? I was honestly disgusted. Nice waterfall, if you pay to go and see it (which they only tell you about once you've walked all the way to the top), but absolutely would never visit here again and would recommend that you don't either.

The animals did not look like they were treated right. It was a tourist trap in which you had to pay for multiple extra things for example a tip to take picture's with the elephant or to be involved in the elephant show. The tiger was chained to a grey concrete slab and looked terrified of humans and was trying to get as far away from them as much as the chain would allow him. The elephant trek went for only 5 mins compared to the 30 mins it was supposed to be. I would advise everyone not to go to this place! This place made me more sad than having any enjoyment!

These ugly people with no compassion or heart are abusing the elephants with bull hooks. I came to see the waterfalls and inquire about safari. I saw these elephants being hit with a bull hook and they were crying. They were chained at the legs with rope around their necks. The baby one was tied to the adult. They kept pacing back and forth because they were under stress. Don't do any business with them because the animal abuse will never stop. Take a stand against this! Stop riding elephants!!!!!!!!!!!! They also drug and abuse tigers just for a photo. Please use common sense. Go to a sanctuary where they protect and care for their animals.

Horrible place to pass by on the way to the waterfall. Animals look miserable and are chained up by the ankles. Please please please don't spend a single Baht here.

😔 seeing the elephants chained and rocking back and forth because they are in distress. I just bought as many sugar canes possible to feed them. I got to play with a baby tiger which was super cool but the elephants were always on my mind. The waterfalls aren't anything special.

Horrible place! Elephants are tied to their feet with chains, you must be an idiot if you're having fun here by seeing this.

Please avoid such camps, because elephants or animals are usually forced to do things that are not in their nature. Elephants used to be farm animals, right, but to make them do this, mostly young elephants are forced to do this very early. Sometimes they are mistreated or given nothing to eat, so their spirit is broken and they obey on command. If you like elephants, go to elephant rescue camps or something similar so you can really help the animals.

Do not go here. It is cruel and animal abuse no matter what they advertise. The elephants are chained up and beaten. Yes they are ‘ free’ to roam with you on your back because of the heavy abuse they have received and will receive. Elephants are not for riding. Research a true elephant sanctuary if you want to see elephants such as elephant nature park in Chaing Mai. Don’t give these people your money and encourage them further. It’s 2023! Disgusting humans and behaviour.

A strange collection of trained and caged animals showing their usefulness as coconut gatherers and photo opportunities for mostly Chinese and Russian tourists. The zoo must have been very interesting 10 years ago. Now, at least half the cages are empty with their doors open and the jungle taking them over. As one walks through the zoo area there are odd cages still operating. One of them freaked us out with a growling leopard inside! The food at the restaurant was very nice. Photo opp with the leopard was sad. All it's teeth were filed down to make it tame. Elephant ride was a loop of about 100 meters. All in all, a tourist location for Mass tourism.

My second time there. The completely rebuild the place. Now they have the elefants walk freely and you can go over a walking bridge where you can safely feed the animals. It's a fun little experience.

New family has taken over recently in Namuang. Completely different approach, really taking care of their 15 elephants, no more elephant safaris or shameful photos with doped tiger, who was sent back to its zoo. Well worth a visit now. They deserve many visitors to keep up the good work.

Don’t go here. Elephants should be roaming freely and not chained or ridden. Visit the samui elephant sanctuary if you want to see elephants up close and support them being cared for.

We just came here to see the water fall and swim. After walking by the elephants in small pens, chained up and with saddles on, we just turned around and left. If you want to see elephant's there are other places you can go that treat them kindly and give them space to roam.

Lovely park, for those who wish to see some exotic animals. Elephants and the like. For those who don't want to see animals in captivity, perhaps don't go.. Animals there are looked after there much better than some people think. It's also the starting point to the waterfalls, on can walk all the way or get a safari truck to take you most of the way return (100 baht per person). . Wear good non slip footwear, as wet rocks at the waterfalls can be very slippery. Also, it's a good idea to use mosquito repellent.

Walked by here on our way to the waterfall. Elephants are not meant to be ridden, the spine is fragile and you are doing years of damage to their backs when you choose to do this. I saw so many families in line and it was heartbreaking to think that A) people don’t care or B) are unaware of the danger of this. Please do not support businesses that participate in elephant riding. I can promise you the photo is not worth it or something to be proud of.

Amazing educational trip, especially for kids. You learn about the elephants and how they are rescued. All the money from the tickets go to take care of these wonderful creatures. You get a guided tour in which you can pet the elephants. The food you get afterwards is traditionally Pad Thai, which was very good. Highly recommended!

Safari parks with some animal shows, of them elephant show was good, crocodiles show was awesome, monkey show was not good, elephant tracking was also good, you'll get a chance to take a picture with leopard, at the end there's buffet lunch which is traditional Thai foods along with fruits, overall enjoyable

A beautiful place, but so sad that it is virtually deserted. The upper part of this waterfall area is usually also a waterpark with slides that come down into natural pools, but it is closed and looks like a ghost town...

Fun day of experiencing the wildlife of Thailand. There is a spot to take a photo with a tiger. There are demonstrations with monkeys. But the highlights are the elephants. There is a show that will teach a little about the elephants and then demonstrate how they can be trained to perform (they show there soccer skills vs an audience member). And then you can take about a ten minute ride atop an elephant. It was a little unsettling at first, feeling like I was going to fall off at every step, but I got used to it after only a couple of minutes and then enjoyed the rest of the ride tremendously

DO NOT GO HERE. It is a tourist trap with the elephants chained and beaten. Obvious animal abuse, incredibly saddening to see. Please do not visit here and fund the torture and suffering of elephants. There is a more ethical sanctuary nearby if you still want to see them.

👍👍 Awesome place, with stunning views. Make sure to take appropriate footwear for the steep but relatively short hike. Go past the car park as there is appropriate parking closer to the start of the walk. Also, BE CAREFUL on the rocks, I slipped, and I saw others do so too.
