Below the belt puns and sarcasm aside. The rocks are impressive, and busy, drawing several tourists to take selfies and portrait pics for their personal accounts. Traffic was a nightmare.. everyone wanted to get there by car.. and cars trying to pass each other on the narrow road was a nail-biting ordeal even for pedestrians. Shops and curios galore.. clear blue water... And a warning about something being slippery when wet makes for a comic interlude... Avoid shoes without a solid grip sole..there are no barriers or safety banners.

These rocks are a true phenomenon in Koh Samui. For many day tours, they make a stop here. If you come here by yourself, you have to pay for parking if you park close to it. There are many souvenir shops and food stands to be found near here. The rocks itself are a myth about rocks that look like genitals and therefore named grandfather and grandmother rocks. Fun to see.

Just rock formations shaped like male and female genitalia. Though the beach is lovely and you can spend your time there. I went there as a part of group tour. The guide gave us 20 minutes to explore the place. The place is rocky and would recommend to be careful. It gets hot in the morning so keep water handy. It can get crowded so come in early to beat the heat and the crowd.

It is an interesting sight to visit! It's great that it's free, and it's definitely better to go during good weather. The stones are beautiful, and you can capture some stunning pictures. There are also nearby restaurants and a very cute bar. Just be aware that the road might not be wide enough for two cars at once, so you may need to do a bit of reverse driving to drop off your car at the parking area(30-50 Bath) and then walk from there.

We visited this place, because we drove by. But it is definitiv not necessary to plan a trip to this location. There are only some 20 or 25 stones in the water and nothing more. You can walk on them, but that’s it. You have a nice view over the ocean and unfortunately nothing more. For parking you have to Pay 10 THB for the motorcycle. I think that this is not an official fee, but there was a sign and an old guy is standing there to collect the money. Yes… 10 THB is not that much money, but if the old guy is doing this the whole day with a lot of tourists, he will get a nice income, for nothing. Furthermore there are only some tourist booths, which want to sell you some overpriced goods.

Good for a quick stop and picture, lots of little stalls before you get to the beach. A couple bars and restaurants near the attraction. Not busy at all and good little beach only a small one but it's nice to sit and drink

The rocks are nice overlooking the water. Yes, a couple of them do look like genitalia. Its worth stopping by to see the sunset.

A very nice outcropping of rocks which lend themselves to use as a trail & photo op. Trip to this Southern portion from Bophut took about 30 min. Well worth it. Lovely selection of stalls selling foods & souvenirs. Lots of inexpensive parking & midweek March is certainly not busy.

Great place with stunning views. Nice to just hang out or even lie down on the rocks to enjoy the view and also the sounds of the waves. A must visit place when in Samui And not to forget the coconut caramel goodies that they sell here - yummy !!

A great tourist attraction to spend half an hour or so at. You can either drive here and park for 30b at many car parks nearby or just walk along Lamai beach. The rocks themselves aren't much to look at but make for a photograph or two. What's really nice here is the view and the little bay at the bottom of the main rock area. The sand is beautifully white and the water is quite literally crystal clear. Most visiting the rocks do not venture to the beach area so it's more quiet there and a lovely place for small children to splash about. The little restaurant that faces the bay is also worth a visit for a quick bite to eat. You can enter both the restaurant and Rock Bar from the Bay. Rock bar has its own private beach too which is even more peaceful than the bay area here.

Really worth visiting. The view is beautiful and the beach is very blue. Coming out of the rocks we also found some restaurants and shops, for souvenirs. Without a doubt, it provides one of the island’s postcard views.

A pleasant tourist attraction that is well worth a visit, where you can see rock formations both in the sea and on land, mixed with beaches, bars and restaurants. The natural rock formations are known to resemble female and male genitalia, and appear in beautiful natural surroundings. There is a car park on site, before the gate into the area.

Beautiful place to visit we had high sea's on our visit so couldn't see all of the rocks very nice nethertheless. The homemade coconut ice cream was divine from the small local vendors, and the coconut caramel is a must buy gift for fiends and family.

Visited the Grandfather Rock in Koh Samui and was captivated by the unique rock formations. The natural beauty of the area is truly breathtaking, offering a glimpse into the wonders of nature. The picturesque surroundings and stunning views make it a must-see attraction for anyone exploring Koh Samui. A memorable experience that showcases the island’s natural charm

Culturally significant. However, it is not overwhelming. Rock formations are falic symbols. Uluru and other locations in Australia and else where are far more beautiful and interesting. A shopping trap for tourists.

Beautiful view of the ocean with very impressive rock formations. The water was so beautifully blue and green. But we had a very ambivalent feeling about the story of grandfather and grandmother rocks. Even though the scenery was beautiful we didn't really get the story and why it was so hyped. But for sure a very beautiful place that you must visit when at Koh Samui.

Nice view, the beach is clean. There are many souvenir shops nearby and a restaurant also. Worth a visit if you are near Lamai beach.

Not much to see here. Rock formations resemble male and female privates, that's pretty much the whole appeal. 10 baht scooter parking, small market nearby selling clothes and sweets. The coconut sweets are nice!

The place is very nice and clean But it was difficult for us to go there. We could not go by the beach so we make a round and it was long. The place itself was very nice, relaxing, quite. I buy a coconut ice cream there which was very very good

There’s 2 rocks to see and I really don’t see the points why people come here except to take pictures with good view in background. Clear water and beautiful rocks. Grandpa and grandma rocks. Water is little deep there and be careful while taking pictures with tides as well.

Less crowd than I thought. I'd love you guys to read why they've created this name XD. ALSO, you should buy the snack called "Thai caramel" (Ka-ra-mare).

It was bit hard to navigate. We reached here for sunset. Most of the shops were closed by the time we reached. There's a parking space for scooters. I don't have any idea why they are calling grandfather & grandmother beach. It's all about rocks with a very good sunset view. We really had a great time relaxing there.

This was an incredible place to visit, the water is absolutely stunning here. This place is free to visit, with lots of small cafes and souvenir shops within the area. If you're in Ko Samui, please make sure this is part of your to do list.

I liked the place, spent 10-15 minutes there. We took a photo, filmed a video. Stones, rocks are located in interesting angles. On the way to the stones there are stalls where you can buy souvenirs and sweets. Parking for a car 30 baht.

Peaceful spot. Lovely vista. Nice rock formations. Mostly famous for it male & female ones. Very small beach if you want sit in the shade of the big tree & take a dip. Narrow road but at the end there are 3 car parks 30 bt. Plenty of vendors selling food, snakes, drinks & gifts. Usual time spent walking around & taking photos 30 to 45min.

Went on a drive on the scooter and found this place. It’s absolutely beautiful. It wasn’t too busy when we went to so there wasn’t too many people. There was no ticket needed only paid 10 baht to park our motorcycle. The guide there was very friendly and told us the history of the place and the story of how the rocks came to be. Nice place to visit. They also have a cooking school right there and a rock bar that looks really cool.

Visited this place which is one of the tourist attraction in Samui. Located in a beach, with rock formations that is dubbed to be grandpa & grandma due to the shape it represented. The place is reachable by motorbike and car, and can park conveniently in front of the entrance. It is free to enter the site. In the entrance, there are many vendors selling a traditional coconut caramel toffee, a specialty of the island.

Saw tourists walk in and out without finding Grandma. I hope the attached photo helps you locate Grandma--relative to Grandpa's location on the left. Coconut at the vendor nearby is refreshingly good.

Spent a morning visiting the rocks in the Samui heat. Definitely worth a visit to have a walk around and take in the views. Rock shape of male and female private part. that's all. There are also nice restaurants nearby to relax after your visit!

It's a nice place at the sea. But don't expect to much of it. There are a few shops, restaurants and bars. And of course you can enjoy the grandfather and grand other rocks. But beware because it is very slippery. Parking your motorbike cost 10 baht.
