I would recommend to avoid staying here as the room amenities are really bad. Breakfast was also avoidable. This was not expected especially since it comes under the TATA umbrella, which is known for its Taj Hospitality.

The hotel is affordable, I mostly stay at it when I am in Surat. Great staff starting from reception to the house keeping people. Clean rooms and good food is what one looks for when they are on a business trip. House keeping is great specially Sujata does a great job. At the reception, Sheetal does a good job too.

Services are quite bad. Had to wait for 1 hour to get room assigned. Housekeeping is bad. Towels and bedsheets not hygienic. Will not go again. Not a value for money proposition. However food is good. Credit where's credit is due

Don't book this hotel if you have your friends or relatives coming over to surat & you are a localite. They do not let you meet your family or relatives also, saying its our policy. Secondly, its too pricey for the rooms and even the food and services. Do not book

The process of check-in took 2hrs although we had prior bookings and reached after 2PM (their check-in timing). Staff was totally non cooperative. Room was very small. While checking out we were told to carry our own bag. Pathetic experience

Ask for rooms on second floor. Don’t accept any first floor rooms as they have really bad and depressing lighting. Also second floor rooms are better in quality of beds as well. Furniture is really bad throughout the hotel. Feels like cheap cardboard furniture which has not been taken care of since many centuries.

Worst Hotel in Surat. Drainage water flows right outside the entrance so the welcome is with a bad smell of sewage water. Even inside the hotel the water is too bad..I just can't understand how do such hotels operate. I had visited here before pandemic & state of the hotel is still that bad..Don't waste your money & most importantly don't compromise on room hygiene by staying here as there are many good hotels in same range.

Coming from Tata, there is a lot expected of the Ginger Brand. It does offer economically comfortable stays and that too at a premium location, however there are many drawbacks too! I find Ginger to have lost it's advantage in the market of being the economical yet comfortable accommodation. Today, in the same price segment, there are several better local and branded competitors out there which would flush Ginger down if certain improvements are not made! 1) The room sizes are really extremely small - For the price, the room offered are very small that too with no complimentary items. The rooms feel cramped up with limited physically movement. I agree cost cutting is a measure, but then the pricing should also be accordingly. 2) Only serves Vegetarian Food - For the price that I'm paying, I would expect a much larger platter and a variety of food choices for my meals, something which Ginger doesn't offer. I understand these are some major changes, but if done, these could go a long way in improving customer experience.

Ginger is expected to be a budget hotel with good service & cleanliness. Service was there but cleanliness was missing. Poorly maintained & the staff doesn't understand what are you requesting for. Don't try the soups there, had tomato & chicken soup which weren't the value they were priced at. Won't suggest anyone to stay there as you don't get the worth for the money paid.

The bedsheet were not smooth, the pillows neither. The rooms were very basic, very rustic. And for the rates they charge their establishment is not worth it at all. I didnt enjoy the room itself, the beds were not nice, nor were the comforters. Put aside every detail if the bedding of a hotel is not good then it loses 90% of the points.

- Fan continuously makes loud click sound whole night.. - AC does not spare either if you switch off Fan to get sound sleep AC won't be happy it would feel the void. - reach out to reception... no way your intercom needs optical engineer to operate not operational at all. - bathroom door handles can come off any time. - only thing that's upto the standard of hotel was cleanliness.

This is off course very good hospital in Gujarat in respect of managing in all spheres. Good behaviour of medical staff which released fifty percent illness. Thanks

I visited for a corporate purpose, was here for almost 2 weeks. Ours ideally the best property around gymkhana road. Lot of malls and eatery Around this place. Great accommodation and service for customer. Pearl, my stationed manager was very helpful when I had to change my room. Thanks for the great service

It's good hotel and location is also good, we went for buffet dinner which was good and had veg and non veg option it was 450 rs per head and they have good seating arrangement. Parking is also available. Overall good food taste at reasonable price

Good service by the team Ginger...Good atmosphere good hygiene all the receptionist ( Pearl and team) are well supportive as well as House keeping service is good about the cleaning they do proper room cleaning Mr. Hasan and team.

Rooms are dated, basic facilities are missing such as light in bathroom, bathroom lock broken, flooring was very old and looks dirty, light in the room was dull, wifi speed was pathetic and if you 2ant hi speed wifi then buy from hotel, bathroom amenities such as toothpaste, brush, comb were not available and you need to purchase them, bucket and mug you will have to borrow. Overall not worth but looking at the price one can consider 8f they can adjust without facilities mentioned above.

Okayish service from the receptionists and the rooms were okay. Not as shown in the pictures. Bathrooms can be much more cleaner. No add on services as mentioned in the list of amenities.

Pool and gym wasn't active there ....and we faced washroom door locking issues as well... Kettle to boil water was on height of 5feet rather than on the table , no proper planning of interiors ...

Rooms very small. Services like internet and AC were not working despite complaining. This was totally opposite to tata brand. Despite good location they are not able to rise to the occasion.

Worst hotel ever. The staff is highly rude. Firstly, The chef is not confident with the ingredients in the food. We asked for jain food and the chef replied i dont know if i have put potato inside or not. Secondly, the front desk staff didnt have any help with transfer of luggage from the room. My parents are pretty old and the staff replied we dont have the service of helping you with the luggage, you can manage on your own. Being a brand like ginger, never expected such service and staff who are there to sabotage the name. Horrible experience for my parents.

The people in charge were wonderful. All throughout the 10 odd days we were in, the service was great...v helpful people. The room service deptt is really on the job all the time.

I was more than happy to visit this place. Perfect ambience, perfect hospitality. the cost was worth the stay. Food was excellent and the housekeeping was warm and friendly. I would prefer to visit again. Loved it.

I really thought it was a good brand but surat dumas road branch was not at all upto the mark, the room was quite shady for the price point. They made us pay for normal toiletries and room service was also not good Over ambience is also not good I have better experience on a cheaper price range in metro cities. Food was average

To be honest, I was very skeptical after reading the reviews and ratings of the Ginger Surat. I didn't have any high hopes and not much of a choice since my company booked the hotel for me. So, there I was dreading every second while walking towards the Ginger hotel. To my very pleasant surprise, right from the staff at the reception, to the room service people, the entire experience of my 2 days stay at Ginger hotel was fabulous. Special thanks to Pearl at the reception who gave me a river front view on special request and she was very co-operative and super active in solving the minor issues like wifi connectivity she even proactively followed up to check if the wifi was connected as i had informed her that i need to attend an important meeting. Certain things, of course, could have been better. All in all, a very pleasant experience and a great staff more than made my stay quite pleasant and comfortable. Thank you Pearl and the whole Ginger management. Cheers! P.S.The rooms are quite small but for someone travelling for business, the size of the room hardly matters because we only come back to the hotel to get a good night's sleep!

This hotel was built in 2011 and it's clearly in need of a renovation. The basic ginger standard has been maintained. But, fixtures in bathroom and rooms need replacement now. What makes up for this is that the staff is really nice and helpful.

It says 3 star but i would not give 1 star also. Very bad vibe, room on 1st floor was too bad, washroom stinking, stained bedsheet, even water from jet n shower has a pungent smell.... evening reception staff was not courteous at all. Breakfast also disappointing

I don't know where to start. The staff was not helpful at all. The amenities in bathroom was not kept according to 2 pax even I paid for 2 pax. The fixtures and fittings in bathroom was very deteriorated and in poor condition. The taps were too tight. Towel rack was rusty. The water was salty in taps. The room was too conjusted for 2 pax. Not enough space to keep 2 suitcases of normal size. No ventilation in bathroom. The window handle of room was broken so we were not able to close it completely and there was sewer smell the whole time you open a window. Every time you switch on AC there was also smell in it. We just once asked F&B to warm our food they straight forward declined it.. I am never booking a ginger hotel again. No proper communication among the staff ,they locked us out of our room even though we communicated about our extended stay for two times. In short never ever Ginger again.

Extremely good location. Average maintained hotel. They can get much more out of the property. Food quality good. Rooms are as basic as any ginger hotel but can be maintained far better than what it is.

Location is away from the main road, so no noise. Parking area is available. The room are reasonable in size. AC,tv , bed , table,chair, fridge, cupboard,tea and coffee preparation available. Bathroom and toilet is reasonably clean. Basin , shower, soap , shampoo and conditioner, towel, toilet paper are available. Staffs are cooperative. Room service is good. Food is tasty. The lobby is not so clean. CC camera are in every corner. Watchman is there on entrance. Overall experience is good.

It literally looked like a shady place. It has leaking ceiling, messy washroom. I had trouble with the flush. Everyday the plumber used to come for reparing. Inspite of asking several times they didn't change my room. The service is very poor. I would not advice people to go there at that cost. Just the location is good as it's near RR Mall and transports are easily available.

As you might have heard initially coming Tata a lot of good services are expected. The staff was untrained slow and unprofessional. the hotel also suggest free Wi-Fi but when I asked for the Wi-Fi they started showing me plans starting from Rs.75. The food was okay but on a costlier end. More quality is expected with such pricing.

I didn't expect this from Ginger hotels!! Room is very small Blankets are torn I requested for change of blankets still nothing happened My bed sheets and blankets are torn in 3 places(just by looking at it without event checking out completely) Staff's are good! But the basics are messed up completely. I can't belive that their pillows are stained it feels like a messy place to sleep on

The room has quite spacious and clean beds the room service is also good, they give you tea, coffee and sugar and cream sachet free . They also allowed us to borrow the iron and iron stand. If you are foodie then food isn't that tasty but overall experience was quite good.

Hotel was average, sheets were rough and did not seem fresh. Had requested for dental kit in the morning multiple times but did not get it so had to start my day without any help from their staff.

Mirror stand disappeared, 5. TV not working 6. sewage sluw on entrance, and bad smell in side the hotel, reception, restorant area. All staff very familiar to Smell. So many things to maintain... Comparatively Dharamshala is better than Ginger (Piplod). Ginger (Piplod) is really belongings to TATA group? Conclusion: This plase is NOT a worth , It is wastage of hard earned money. Bakwaas hotel.
