One of the oldest South Indian places in Surat. The seating is very congested and the menu is pretty limited. You get simple no fuss food here. Nothing too spicy or oily. Very crowded specially during dinner timings and Sunday mornings. It's good to have once in a while but it's definitely not my fav for sure.

bloody baggers, yes using this word with all my senses, today I ordered 4 plates idly for parcel as I had few guests at home, despite charging an astronomical sum for a plate of idly, they provided a very small portion of coconut chutney, attaching picture of it (readers can see the pics and justify) with the review, this is not happening for first time, they are enjoying the locational advantage but providing food which is not only tasteless but provides it like they are doing some kind of अहसान on us. Cost cutting by providing small portion of chutney & sambar, more ridiculous part is when I went back driving 4 kms again back the staff started quarrelling by telling me this is what they provide, one guy even tell me not to come back ever, as they don't care about this. I mean they act like bullies, Dear Surtis, yes we don't have many options for South Indian Food here in our city but that doesn't mean we should take these bullies like MYSORE Cafe as they act like this. There are better options like RADHA KRISHNA, Sai Dosa etc. I am a fully responsible citizen and this review is in best interest of we the people.

This is a 60+ years old south Indian joint; it is a small place but it serves awesome South Indian foods; the service is quicker but the behaviour of staff seems little rude and indifferent to us; as they have large customer base so there is always waiting of 20-25 mins. Despite of heavy foot fall they don’t keep change and they expect us to tender the exact change to them for bill.

Overhyped. It's a small place. There is no ambiance as such. There will always be a long line. Food: Dosa was okay. But Sambhar and Chutney had almost no taste. Watery taste. I know south indian traditional food is a bit less spicy, but it's not watery bland. Dahi bara was also nothing. Ambiance and service is minimal. Only pro is price and I think that's the only reason why there is so much crowd always. Price is quite less than expectations in Surat city area. But food etc is according to that price. So if you want a cheap, mediocre experience it's a good place. If you can spend a bit more, many better place are available in Surat. Also, the line is generally 15-20 mins minimum, so after that, your expectations will rise, and sadly mine didn't get fulfilled.

Mysore Cafe has been a staple in Surat. It's almost at a Historical site for Surat. My experience is a bit more nostalgic. For Rookies I have a couple tips that I recommend you follow to achieve the best experience. Get there at half hour early. They are always busy. 1 to 2 customers sit faster. If there is a spot open on your table they will sit somebody. This is normal for them. Try to be open about it. It's a good way to meet some locals. Be ready to order fast. View the menu while waiting. Don't add more food after ordering. You will get looks from the waiter. Waiters might look rude, but they are just really really busy.

It is located at Parle point. It has nice taste and live barbecue. It gives good service by staff and clean dining area. It has a separate waiting area in ground floor. We can get icecream and candy after dinner. They show us staff group dance on weekends.

Good food... Limited menu but whatever on menu is good... Service is very fast. Crowded most of the time. We had mysor sada Dosa, Masala Dosa, samosa, idili sambar. All were good. Somasa was sweet but different from what we normally have. Coffee as expected was good filter coffee was not available...

Living in surat for 15 years, today was first time I visited Mysore Cafe and I was not at all disappointed. They serve generic South Indian dishes which is just like Udupi restaurants that you find in South India. The food is great nothing special i.e "how it's suppose to be". Sambhar & chutney was great and fresh one of the best that I had in North India. Pricing is also great towards the cheaper side you can have a stomach full meal in rs. 100 circa 2020.

The best South Indian restaurant in Surat. Though we don't live in Surat anywhere, but we definitely visit this place whenever we are in Surat to relive old memories. The food is yummy and the price is very reasonable. You can order anything on the menu and you will be delighted eating it. Personally I love the Onion Uthappa, Upma and Veg Cheese Sandwich. And do not forget to have a cup of Coffee when you visit. Must go place, not to be missed. Tip: Go early on a Sunday, otherwise be prepared to wait as there is long waiting.

***One of The Worst Service and Management*** It’s one of the oldest south Indian restaurants in Surat but cannot even make proper Sambar. I would leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre, the staff is rude and to make it even worse it is not even close to authentic. You should not call yourself a south Indian restaurant if you cannot even make proper Sambar. Here the waiter behaves as if he is the owner, and the Cashier and Manager are puppets of Waiters. This is probably the only restaurant in Surat where the waiter has more authority and decision-making power than the Manager. Even the Roadside stall/pushcart nowadays has a UPI payment method, but they don’t. So basically they are still living in 1963.
