I changed the table due to not feeling well on that particular table After changing table behaviour shown by the lady waiter ,the waiter is very rude and intentionally served late as well as instead of paratha roti would be given and rice is not given at the time of the dish given to me..... Rather than this i would prefer to eat at an open road shop......these kind of intensionally behaviour with us..

Very poor services. Rude behaviour of waitress look like "Paul Bearer"(undertaker manager). An hr+ wait for the order and not upto the mark. They took the order for punjabi & gujrati thali and then discarded the order. Overall experience was worse.

Ok So I went there on day before yesterday. I had paratha , rajwadi khichdi, sadi khichdi palak khichdi. The sada khichdi was simple as the name suggests. So it was fine but rajwadi khichdi had just groundnut and lacked spices. There should have been dry fruits and spices. The palak khichdi was so bad. Just the boiled spinach was mixed with partially cooked rice and served. Also it was having too much salt. Don't try this palak khichdi at all. It just looks great but tastes pathetic

I have visited many jalaram branches, specially for rajwadi khichadi but this branch is becoming worse day by day! I have ordered mix shak and rajeadi khichdi.. it was having very bad taste as rajvadi khichdi is my favourite dish but i coudn't eat tht more than one spoon🤮 and shak was also having no taste and i have ate roti with achar.. last time also i got very bad buttermilk and rice.. both the times i have complained there about taste but the guy who was seating on reception was acting like he is angry on me bcz i have compalined.. i have seen many other costomers also who were complaining there. I have humble request to the owners please look in to this matter. And please maintain original taste of jalaram for which it is famous.🙏🙏

One of the best restaurant for Gujarati cuisines in Surat. Kadhi-kichdi, Punjabi thali and main course are worth your bucks!! Great place for lunch

Not a great experience. Lot of noise in the restaurant. Place wasn’t clean. Food ordered was not something great, ordered Palak kichri, Palak paneer which was super spicy and couldn’t eat. The Bajri rotla was good with baingan Bharta. Sev tomato was ok. Butter milk was nice, would recommend someone to go as they put a lot of soda in their food.

Amazing , authentic food at really low prices. I ordered Kathiawadi thali, it was super delicious. I just hope they stop Serving Chhas in plastic cups and make the place a little more hygenic.

I ordered jain food against which non jain food was delivered and when i asked for replacement, instead of immediately arranging for replacement they asked for proof and replacement was sent after 1 hour by which we had finish Lunch !! You should improve your level of service or else wont take much time for downfall

Both Adajan and this branch are different owners and not accepting any of the things from each other. There is almost no ambience. Food quality is not upto the mark. Service is very poor. Cleanliness and hygiene is not maintain at all. There is no restroom facility at all. Road side limited parking would be there. Not recommended at all.

We ordered jalaram rajwadi khichdi. Khichdi was good. But may be some hygiene issue because we find a piece of hair in khichdi and as per conversation we guess that it's common for them. By the way then changes our khichdi without any issue.

Wonderful food but poor service

Last night I odered handi biryani, and I am surprised they served me red gravy biryani with totally mashy rice! Even was found vegetables r too big in cuts look like very unprofessional chef are highered, They don't know how to cuts vegetables as per prepration of recipes! Very pathetic experience! Need to improve our quality and rework on our recipes! And please don't play with authentic recipes! I never had cabbage, capsicum, whole tomato in any type ( Lucknowi,hadrabadi,kashmiri,bengoli,Kerela) of biryani! In any biryani same 2-3 things r common( curd,whole spices, and ground spices) and u r making makhni gravy biriyani! I was found just 20 percent of rice and rest 80 percent of gravy and un even,badly cuts vegetables in it!

I was looking for a Lunch, preferably Local place rather Chinese or other regions. I followed Google. Address is as per Google. the place is inside in the complex. AS the complex is in U shape you tend to ignore. But it is there. Food is fine. Service is fine. I felt clean and tidy tables. I realized this place is little famous for people around. It was a quick service. Pricing is reasonable, thali is 160 and 175. I went to have Kichidi, but settled for Thali. No regrets.

It's good place I am visiting this place from past 15 years . The staff is good the food quality and quantity is so good . They have the thali system also .. one can even share the thali .. as most of the thali resturant don't allow to share . They provide Paratha and chapati instead of tandoori maida chapatis . Which is best.

Superb food, wonderful service, I love all their items, hope there are franchises in other cities too. Must try. Extremely reasonable.

I live in surat and staying away from family since 2016. one day one of my colleague took me to this restaurant for lunch and than after i found the real taste like home made food. the quality of rotis, sabji, khichdi, dal-rice and everything they made in form of food is beyond delicious apart from that the staffs r very polite and generous. and it became my go to restaurant. i strongly recommend this restaurant specially for them who r staying away from family. Thank u Jalaram Khichdi for serving the good food for the years..

Loved the rotlo and tawa pulav. Missed the limited gujarati thali which was not available for dinner and next day no thali was available due to makar sankranti. Service could be a little better. Multiple business at the location.

Visited this place along with my family for lunch. I had palak khichdi and my parents had a thali in their menu. My brother ordered for mushroom masala which the waiter/person who took the order said would be on the table within 15-20 minutes. I and my parents finished our lunch but the mushroom masala that he had ordered hadn't even arrived. On asking several times the answer they gave was "I will check". After a while a person came up to us and informed us of the fact that there was no mushroom in the first place. The management of the place is pathetic. My brother just got up and left the place, didn't even show his disappointed at the management which my mother very well did as he didn't have lunch, she totally lost her cool and got very angry at the staff and the manager. NOTE- They really need to improve their management.

Average taste. Ambience is poor. Once I ordered online and they provided thali without Rotli in it. Restaurant could be great but service is letting it down.

Decent Food and Regular Taste of Kathiyawadi recipies. Nothing great i can point out. But decent place to eat.

If you looking for authentic Gujarati cuisine then look no further... the food and quality of food is just awesome... service is good,more importance should be given to atmosphere and maintain better hygiene...overall a great place to unwind and enjoy food away from home...value for money...I love the cabbage salad served with Thali... Jalaram rocks...

Just need to update fast service... otherwise too much good food, good test of Punjabi and gujarati. I recommend this restaurant to people... 😀😃
