Good place to go with family, friends or elders. It consists of 3 entries they attaches a band of 80rs for under 18 and 100 rs for 18+.1st of all we can go at a round shaped building. While reclining we can see the whole space above our head and all knowledge abouts space and stars in ac building in just 25 minutes. The secondly we can use the models for experiments put there like 35 or more models are there. In last there is a museum, cafeteria and good amphitheater and sitting area. Must visit. For the science students👩‍🎓 😅

What’s not to love about a place that has so much enlightenment to offer. Home to a fabulous planetarium that hots 3D as well as 4D shows, the Science Center and Science Museum is simply incredible. There are various shows with varying themes, depending on the time of the week youare visiting. Nevertheless, all shows are highly educative, thus making it a great place to take the kids to. The fact that is a multi-facility complex elevates its allure. However, the science centre is the main part of this complex. There is a Fun Science Gallery that hosts various informative exhibits. Specially dedicated galleries of space, diamond and textile remain the main draw of this museum.and so beautiful to science center..

Best place to know about basic science, how does works. There are number of articles shows basic science about day to day life and space technology with summarised information notes. Also there's a separate building with name of KHOJ which includes virology and impacts on human life and major pandemic. Instructor also there to help you understand impacts and working. children can play some science based games. Park also available which is also having some science to understand. It's good to visit. Sufficient Parking space also available in basement if visiting through own four wheeler or two wheeler.

It is only going to make you understand some basic principles of science. I don't understand why they even not tried to explain class 12th science course that can help students can see practical at science centre.

What a wonderful museum! There is just so many floors and places and statues and paintings and information boards- my god an entire day spent inside is explore to pretty much only one floor haha! It was an incredibly overwhelming and disorientingly huge yet absolutely lovable building. I loved everything about it. And due to the immense size, the issues in our latest... problems... were well-addressed. I recommend a visit, after all, it is free! Thank you to the V&A team for my absolutely stunning visit.

Science Centre was built in 2009 as a multi-facility complex in Surat. Besides the Science Centre, the large complex also has an art gallery, a planetarium, an amphi-theatre, a museum and an auditorium. This complex is a distinct establishment in whole of the Western India and offers a wonderful meeting ground for students, scholars and teachers of science, technology and history. There is a solar power plant on the roof of the complex which produces about 1.14 KW of power. Inside the complex there are: 1. Science Centre – It is a primary attraction and forms a major part of the whole complex. Ground floor welcomes the visitor with an exciting 3D theatre, first floor presents science and technology in an amusing way through fun science exhibits while the second floor displays diamond gallery. Other galleries with themes such as space, power of play, polar science, textile and cosmos will also be developed in the coming times. 2.Sardar Patel Museum – Museums have a great cultural value as it seeks to preserve the history and offers objects for studying the past of any society or civilization. Sardar Patel Museum takes care of the historical heritage of Surat and is the best place for anyone interested in Surat’s rich past. The museum has shifted its location a couple of times owing to space constraints and/or vulnerability to floods. Its current address is the complex of Science Centre. Sardar Patel Museum was originally built in 1890 and was called the Winchester Museum after the name of its creator. There is a vast variety of articles ranging from stuffed specimens of animal and birds, glassware, old books, traditional textiles, porcelain, metal ware, conches, minerals and precious stones to wood carvings, paintings and sculptures. 3. Planetarium - The sphere-shaped planetarium has a diameter of 16.30 metres and can accommodate 140 people. There is a dome on the ceiling where the projections are made and a better observation of moon, planets, nebula and stars can be made. Based on state-of-the-art technology, the digital theatre is a very interesting place for the children and other curious minds seeking answers to the mysteries of nature. 4. Amphi-theatre - There is a round-shaped amphi-theatre with seating capacity of about 250 to give a platform to small concerts or cultural programs. It is an open air theatre and has stepped seating. 5. Auditorium - At the mezzanine floor of the main building there is an auditorium, with seating capacity of 260, for the purpose of lectures, meetings and seminars. 6. Art Gallery - Right opposite the museum stands the art gallery which is used for organising art exhibitions. Location:Science Centre City Light Road, Athwa Surat, Gujarat - 395007

Science center is best place for the ones who are very interested in exploring this field. However, the 3D shows and some of the places are shut down since 1-1.5 years. They maybe get solved soon. The place can exceed its best too if taken care and is maintained.

Set amidst the bustling city of Surat, a rapidly developing economy, the Science Centre does a great deal in glorifying the explosive growth of the city. From housing the thematic galleries that display a wide range of touching various factions of the world - Sapce, Cosmos, Polar, Textile, Diamond, etc. to a state of the art 3D amphitheatre that practically teleports you to a different dimension, the Science Centre of Surat has it all. They have a 'Fun Science Gallery' where over 50 exhibits have been displayed that give a fun twist to the various principles of science. Many of these exhibits allow guest participation in proving the theories by live experimentation.

As a student, I love visiting the Surat Science Center. It's a great place to learn about science and technology in a fun and interactive way. The center has a wide variety of exhibits, covering topics such as physics, chemistry, biology, and space exploration. One of the things I love most about the Surat Science Center is that it's so hands-on. There are many interactive exhibits that allow visitors to experiment and learn for themselves. For example, there's an exhibit that shows how electricity works, and another exhibit that shows how water cycles. The Surat Science Center also has a number of educational programs and workshops for students. These programs are designed to teach students about science and technology in a fun and engaging way. I've participated in a few of these programs, and I've always learned a lot. Another thing I love about the Surat Science Center is that it's affordable. Admission tickets are very reasonable, and there are often discounts available for students. This makes it a great place to visit for families and school groups. Here are a few of my favorite exhibits at the Surat Science Center: * The Physics Gallery: This gallery has exhibits on a variety of physics topics, such as gravity, friction, and magnetism. There are also a number of interactive exhibits, such as a giant gyroscope and a Tesla coil. * The Chemistry Gallery: This gallery has exhibits on a variety of chemistry topics, such as atoms, molecules, and acids and bases. There are also a number of interactive exhibits, such as a chemistry lab where visitors can conduct their own experiments. * The Biology Gallery: This gallery has exhibits on a variety of biology topics, such as the human body, the animal kingdom, and plants. There are also a number of interactive exhibits, such as a microscope where visitors can examine real specimens. * The Space Exploration Gallery: This gallery has exhibits on a variety of space exploration topics, such as the planets, the solar system, and the Milky Way galaxy. There are also a number of interactive exhibits, such as a flight simulator and a planetarium. Overall, I highly recommend the Surat Science Center to students of all ages. It's a great place to learn about science and technology in a fun and interactive way. Here are a few tips for making the most of your visit to the Surat Science Center: * Plan your visit ahead of time and check the center's website for special events and programs. * Arrive early to avoid the crowds. * Wear comfortable shoes and clothing, as you will be doing a lot of walking and moving around. * Bring a water bottle and snacks, as food and drinks can be expensive inside the center. * Be sure to supervise your children at all times. * Take your time and enjoy all of the exhibits. There's something for everyone at the Surat Science Center!

The V&A is a museum that homes a very diverse collection of art, history, jewels, decor, architecture, and fashion. It is unlike the Tate museums but a museum with more “practical” art. The ambiance of the courtyard is really calm especially surrounded by the hydrangeas, their carrot cake is also 10/10.

  • 5/5 Laura 3 years ago on Google
One of my favourite museums in London, and there's some strong competition! Have seen several excellent, beautifully presented exhibitions at the V&A, though it's worth a visit anytime as the permanent collections are extensive and fascinating. Love the fashion pieces and photography. Always make time for the shop too! Can't wait to visit again in the future.

It’s a free entry museum and it’s next door with Natural History Museum. V&A is a lovely museum with an extraordinarily beautiful building. Soaring ceiling, fascinating flooring patterns and also it has a stunning courtyard. Highly recommended..

Gem of a place and museum. It has some very interesting collections with a slightly different twist on some of the usual shows that one might hope to see in other museum installations. I was really impressed with the kimono exhibition and also with current guidance how they are ensuring that others are maintaining distance + wearing masks etc.

One of London's best museums of world culture. You'll have everything from South East Asian cultures including Chinese, Korean and Japanese artefacts along with Middle Eastern objects from various empires of the ages. The lifesize replica of Michelangelo's David is one of the most awesome objects on display.

Life door is there in basement parking but lift facility starts from ground floor. Clean washrooms. Drinking water available. Much less crowd so easy to see everything.

Good place for kids. Can easily spend 3-4 hrs. But few areas need to be maintained bell like science experiments area and washrooms. No water even in washrooms.. 3 D show, planataurium show is also worth watching. Museums are also good to visit....All in all, good place I would say to visit on weekend during weekend.

Space and astronomy galleries are full of information and interactive kiosk and will designed. Fun science is good but should be considered for upgradation to match with above galleries. Planetarium is worth visiting and small 3d theatre is ok ok. As almost most of us have seen much more high-end content in cinemas in 3D. Diamond gallery is not maintained properly, rotary stages of several diamond show cases are not working, no introduction/information provided for the diamond machineries displayed in gallery. You have to pay in cash for tickets is a bit annoying atleast one would expect digital payment option in SCIENCE CENTRE. Overall a good place for kids and parents to explore all the intestine materials, experiments and videos one Would need atleast 3 hours or more.

Disappointed as planetarium show was in Hindi and not in English, couldn't understand much... Other than that... Not a bad experience... It is mostly for secondary and higher secondary school children... 3D show should have some sort of background speech to impart knowledge... Could have been made much better.. just seems nonsensical..

This is such a wonderful location. There is so much to do and see here that it is definitely worth going, particularly for those interested in science and children. Because the parking lot is so large, there is no need to worry about paying for parking. Very interesting science rides and parks, as well as explanations, models, and demonstrations of scientific concepts. The Hall of Space and Science was my absolute favourite part of the attraction. Every single parent is urged to bring their child here at least once during their lifetime. Additionally, there is an art gallery.

It's a good one time visit. Space centre and the physics part of the center is good one. One can experience the laws of physics in practical. The planetarium was closed when I visited it. The only disappointing thing was the payment system they only accept cash, so make sure you carry cash on your visit.

  • 2/5 Marty M. 5 months ago on Google
The place is just halls with information hung on posters and walls...and scientific tools and experiment equipment. A few of the tools like for physics and chemistry are nice, but also common. The planetarium is not functional...so, tickets are overpriced.
