My family and I recently stayed at Hotel Merit in Surat, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. While the receptionist, Shubham, recommended that we visit their local textile factory, Saidhara NX Pvt. Ltd and arranged transportation, our return journey was marred by unprofessional and unethical behavior. The driver refused to provide the return ride, stating that we did not purchase anything from the factory. This was completely unacceptable, and we were left to find our own way back to the hotel. To make matters worse, when we complained to the hotel reception, they assured us of strict action but failed to take any action at all. This kind of behavior towards guests is simply unacceptable, and it made our stay at Hotel Merit an unpleasant one. It is essential for the hotel staff to prioritize their guests' safety, comfort, and well-being. Overall, I rate my stay at Hotel Merit, Surat, with a score of 2 out of 5 and professionalism, behavior, and recommendation with a score of 1 out of 5. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone due to my terrible experience. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and takes necessary steps to ensure that such incidents do not happen in the future.

Room offered for the given price was just satisfactory, not like shown on make my trip photos. They charged extra for early check in, location wise it is good hotel, the person at reception at night time/early morning was satisfactory, but the person at day time was good in his service.

Very rude staff (Shubham) .he even don't know how to talk to the guest. Staff is not professional at all. Sewar over flowing at reception. Recommending not to stay .

Room linen was dirty and room was stinking with damp. They don't change linen it seems after guests depart. The place is adjacent to rail station and full with dust, noise. The hotel complementary breakfast was good only, given the standard of hotel. within 50m from Surat railway station.

I usually visit surat for my job purpose and I booked different hotel every time. This time one of my friend suggest me this hotel and I booked. I have an amazing experience. This is very clean, safe and luxury hotel. Staff behaviour is friendly which add more value. Also hotel is nearby railway station so it can be easy to find out and also can reach there by walking.

Rooms are fine to stay but u will not be provided bottle water everyday as per your quotas need to ask or fight with the service fellow .Very poor room cleaning, especially bedsheets will not be changed even after for couple of days stay unless told upon. Dental kit and shaving kit will not be provided by hotel .Overall ok ok hotel can stay but need to ask and get all facilities..

Great hotel in surat to stay near railway Junction. Excellent hygiene, excellent food, service staff is good. There are some review about small size room but I felt they are fake. Rooms are good in size. Will book again if I travel to surat again.

Hotel merit is overall a satisfactory hotel. Rooms are good but not much spacious. Noisy due to nearby station and city traffic but not a big issue. Parking is available but needs a great care for bigger SUV cars. Care should be taken for basic amenities: hot water, AC conditions. Staff is good 👍🏻

I booked the hotel with 3hrs early check in. On arriving they refused to issue me the room but we're ready to give room if I cancel the online booking and pay them offline. This is poor attitude of hotel management. Shame on them

For the price and quality of rooms, the rate is quite justified. The location convenience adds to the value. Beds and linen are hygienic and clean

A good budgeted hotel. Very near to station and overall accessibility to the market, khao galli and other places. Hotel staff is polite and courteous so as well the reception. Room service needs bit of improvement as there was a lot of delay when it comes to food and water deliver. Important thing to always book the hotel using any booking app like MMT, GoIbibo etc for best deals as walkin is very costly. Overall a satisfactory stay.
