Amazing national park, full of adventure with self drive deep inside the thick forest. Best to go in the mornings or around 3 pm. You need minimum 3 hours in the morning & 3 hours in the evening to justify your visit. You can spot variety of birds and animals. There are natural & man made water bodies in several places inside. That’s the best spot to sit quietly to capture the birds since the come to Erik water. You have to take your car inside and it’s always better to take a local guide. They charge Rs400/- per car (6 people) and Rs200/- for camera. Make sure you carry enough water and some dry food, since there’s absolutely nothing inside. Summer is very hot, but you get a very clear view. But winter would be best. Worth visiting if you love nature, forest, animals & birds.

Tucked in between the Sahyadri ranges, lies this conserved wildlife park spanning over an area of about 24 sq kilometers. It got its name as Vansda because it was once privately owned by the Maharaja of Vansda. Not a single tree has been cut since then. Owing to this, in some places, the canopies are so thick that sunlight does not pass through. Its is an open park, and you can easily get a permit if you want to explore it in your own vehicle.

Tucked in between the Sahyadri ranges, lies this conserved wildlife park spanning over an area of about 24 sq kilometres. It got its name as Vansda because it was once privately owned by the Maharaja of Vansda. Not a single tree has been cut since then. Owing to this, in some places, the canopies are so thick that sunlight does not pass through. It is an open park, and you can easily get a permit if you want to explore it in your own vehicle. It is situated in the Navsari district of Gujarat and is a 110-minute drive from Vansda town. Vansda, the park is the principal trading place for the village of Vansda and its surrounding area, which are inhabited by tribes, commonly known as Adivasis. The park is very close to Waghai town which forms an entry point for the Dang jungles. A botanist's and wildlife enthusiast's paradise, the place is home to over hundreds of different and unique varieties of flora and fauna. River Ambika flows along its north-eastern boundary, and a major part of the park falls under the catchment area. Unlike other National Parks, Vansda provides two trail options to its visitors. They can opt to walk or take a vehicle inside. The park also has other attractions like interacting with local tribes, the Gira Falls and the Conservation Centre. The Gira Falls of Vansda is the park's pride and should be experienced by everyone who plans on visiting the park. It is an ideal scenic getaway forming an important part of your itinerary whenever you happen to visit Gujarat.

Vansda National Park, also known as Bansda National Park,is a protected area which represents the thick woodlands of the Dangs and southern Gujarat, and is situated in the Vansda tehsil, Navsari District of Gujarat state, India. Riding on the banks of Ambika River and measuring roughly 24 km2 in area, the park lies about 65 km east of the town of Chikhali on the National Highway 8, and about 80 km northeast of the city of Valsad. Vansda, the town from which the name of the park is derived, is an important trading place for the surrounding area where the majority of the population is represented by adivasis. Vansda-Waghai state highway runs through the park, so does the narrow gauge rail link connecting Ahwa to Billimora.[2Very dense forest however I couldn't see any wild animal there. The guide was a local tribal boy who wasn't aware about the animal or bird species.

*jungle safari(400+100)* - own vehicle to use to go inside - you need to adjust a guide in your own vehicle - car will go 6 kms, 4 kms you will go through villages where you will not get any wild animal, but you will find some farmer and their pets - in 2 kms, you may seen deer, monkey, peacock and bats colony - leopard is roaming in 28 kms forest area, which obviously not come to show off you on your car track - tracking you can do with guide but with family you will not take risk because your guideis not armed. May be he is eating tobacco- khaini to uncomfortable your family trip - your guide will stop you ontree type swings and ask you to take photos - Moreover Jungle is dense enough which may be a problem to see wild animals -4 kms area you will find villagers on bikes are roaming

The place is beautiful and very amazing... It’s an amazing place to visit, see a tiger and it's a great experience... I visited this place with a few friends. We reached evening around 4:30 - 5 pm, as we planned to reach in daylight... We got tent accommodation at Kilad Campsite, which is like 1 km from the National Park entry gate... We missed carrying a bat/ball or football along...

Vansda national park is reserved national forest if you are lucky enough you can see leopard, but try you are in other than month of July, August, September and October because these days entry for visitors is not allowed in monsoon season. There is entry fee and you have to take your vehicle inside forest route of almost 20 km within forest out of which 8 km is easily accessible whereas balance is dense forest. Guide is available at fees of Rs 400.

Place has an excellent natural beauty, Had been there in the afternoon time around 12pm, but just got to see 5 beautiful Deers. Nothing else was visible. The better time to visit there is from Morning 7am to 10am and after 4pm, as the guide suggested, saying animal's normally don't visit the lake in Afternoon time due to heat.. Let's hope the Best with you. 😊

It is a dense forest. Entry fee for a car is ₹ 400/- + ₹100/- for guide. You are not supposed to get down from the car. Saw Spotted deer and barking deer but only in pairs not many. Guide told us that there are 12 leopards but we could not see any. Did not see even warthogs. As per guide best month would be April-March when foliage is less. Birds are seen but the guide has poor knowledge.

Forest is the most beautiful way to experience the mother nature. This place is one of the few national parks surving in Gujarat. This is a place for natural enthusiasts and people who enjoy being close to the woods. You might NOT get to spot any wild animals in the forest, as this isn't a zoo where animals are kept to entertain us. This is their home, jungle where they roam around freely. So if you are visiting the place solely for spotting animals I'll recommend you visit zoo. Though I was super lucky when I visited as I spotted quite a few deers at many different locations. Peacocks and even a few monkeys can be seen if you are good at observing. Overall, I had an amazing trip through the woods!

You have to drive your car along with guide for around 1 hour and you have to pay Rs 500 for (400 for 6 people & 100 for guide) but if you're lucky then only you would see wild animals. When we visited at around 3/4 pm at that time only peacock and monkeys were there.
