The hotel as you would expect from Marriott, does not need much of an intro. The service and property are both of Marriott standards, which is nothing short of GOOD!! The room I stayed was the standard room which was very spacious and well equipped with the usual stuff like refrigerator, coffee, water, iron, bath gown, locker etc. Very comfortable sofa too in the room. There was something which I had not seen anywhere else. The intercom system had a Bluetooth connection, wireless handset, and best of all it had built-in charging cables for your mobile. Bathroom was clean, and very spacious too. I'd give some extra brownie points for the clean towels provided. Am not a big fan of the glass wall dividing the bathroom and bedroom, but this was one of the highlights of the room. Ironic I say, the glass divider had a very large mirror placed from the inside of the bathroom, blocking the view from the bedroom. Then why the glass divider wall, I fail to understand. Overall the room was very tastefully done without cluttering it with 100s of things. I would highly recommend this place, but please note this Marriott isn't the best money can buy.

Had a great stay here. Rooms were good, we got upgraded to river view one and it was wonderful. Would recommend to take breakfast in the booking package - spread was very big and delicious. Hotel is classy and meets all standards of a 5-star hotel. P.S. this one does not come under Club Marriott membership, need to opt for a different membership to enjoy extra benefits.

The hotel is amazing and the breakfast was delicious. However, they don't have enough staff to handle the hotel at full capacity. Twice I had to handle my own baggage even though I called for assistance at the reception.

One of the best experience of living and meals in various five stars we have lived. Location is very premium and very silent as well. Spacious premise. Food spread from breakfast to dinner is fabulous and really awesome. Services like swimming pool and gym is free but with no.lifegaurd and any aids. Pool wasn't clearly clean . Dust and tree leaves were fallen in water but still we enjoyed. Other services of sauna, Steam, spa salon are chargeable.

Great place to stay while you’re in surat. The area around the hotel has a lot going on as well. As far as the hotel, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. They helped me check in quick so I could get my rest from my journey. Now the food is on another level. They have 3 restaurants and a coffee shop. Food is incredible. Table 101 has great Indian food if anyone is interested. Good hotel and great staff. Anyone will feel welcome there

I was shocked when they shared pool timing 8am-6pm😅....my first thought was "is the pool following office timings as well😜". I really liked the terrace sitting we enjoyed karaoke and got a chance to test our voices as well😊. Food was also good.

We are coming for lunch today in restaurant 101 and we notice one thing one beautiful girl making rangoli it was amazing I really like it. She is so pretty✨ And may be she name is Janvi. And restaurant food is so good I really like it.

Right in the centre of Surat this high quality hotel. Excellent breakfast and service overall. Safe and clean. Good restaurant and nice pool. Rooms are good, but not excellent. There is noise coming from the air ventilation system on the roof of the hotel. If you are sensitive to noise, consider asking for a room on the lower levels.

Great hotel in a not very large city. The rooms are large and one half over looks the river. The view isn't great. The food is good. Well located away from the hustle of the city. A walk along the river is a must. It is not like Ahmedabad and sabarmati river but it's a nice walk. Rooms were functional and service was good. Room service was effecient.

We would loved to give this place a 5 star rating because of its location on the river front but the grumpy faces and the t Staff attitude was simply wrong after a long day of travel Being in the services industry, we would expect the staff to be more courteous and concerned but there simply was no thought given to the guest comfort We would have rated this place even lower but for the amazing city line views from the river facing room and Khyali ( Bell person/ concierge) [ who seems to be the only person from staff who is affable , courteous and with a little smile)

IT was business stay and it was very comfortable and inspiring: Rooms - enough space that cannot be complained for. Neat, tidy and clean. Well maintained, however, being an old property, you get to some wear and tear. Otherwise, not that can be concerned for. People - well trained, hospitable and resourceful. I dont think we can raise our fingers at Marriott's standards. I interacted with Balaji, Nisarg, Mariya, Amardeep and others whom i failed to recollect. I am sorry about it. Ambiance - perfect. No comments. I really liked the lobby with greener look from outside gardens. Service - exceptional. Food - very good. I tried banquets and breakfast. I liked Dal Makhani, Bendi, Cream of Tomato/Almond, and Gulab Jumun in based custard was too good. Location - located on a spacious and wide road. Easy on Google Maps. Little away from the businesses/Railway station and market areas. In fact, it should be like to that to have a peaceful stay. Thank You guys!

During my one-night stay on November 6th, 2023, and check-out on November 7th, for my business trip from the UAE, my arrival experience at the hotel was disappointing. There was no one to assist with luggage from the car, and I had to handle it myself. Additionally, the check-in process was marred by a key card that didn't work, then delay in luggage to send to my room it took 30 minutes. However, the room's amenities and overall quality were decent, meeting a pretty good standard.

I was in this nice hotel for two weeks and I enjoyed my time, best service and very good stuff. Kishor Kumar Junior sous Chef prepared every day very good dishes the test was unbelievable. Thanks a lot to all of you

Since the Marriott took over Gateway inn, experience became much better. Accommodation wise rooms are compact but good, lounges like Table 101 and SBC cafe tops my list to visit any day. Had been there multiple times and I just love the ambience, the atmosphere, the vibe of peace and serenity it throws. Always good to be here.

I’ve always stayed at surat Marriott when I visit this lovely city. The breakfast is a widespread collection from local, regional to international and it’s really well done. The staff are so good and always look after you very well. This is a very well run hotel and can compare to any international hotels worldwide. Also want to have a special mention of an incident earlier today when I forgot my handbag in the coffee shop here. The staff followed the security protocols and ensured that they safely returned the same to me within a few hours. Special thanks to Rakesh and his staff for their honest and sincere support. Another interesting mention is that during the marriage season when the hotel is running at full capacity, they’re still well staffed and you barely face any issues due to the crowd. If you’re in surat, this is the hotel you want to be in!

Rooms although spacious smelled of mold and I had a running nose for as long as I was there in the room, in-room services are slow, they take around 40mins for everything you may ask for. Average breakfast buffet. The property is too small to be called a 5 star. Pretty sure the reviews here are fake.

Super nice hotel with 3 restaurants to choose from on the grounds. Pool is a bit cool but lovely to soak up the sun by. Very classy place.

🔸I have attended many conferences here but had no experience of stay. 🔸The ambience and decoration is good. 🔸 Dinning area is clean, proper spacing between two tables. 🔸The staffs are reasonable but not as they should be of five star hotels. 🔸Good general washrooms , clean and nice. 🔸Security check is there. Adequate parking area with Watchmen. 🔸Food taste is avarage. 🔸Staffs are not highfi as five star hotels. 🔸Worst part is in a close conference hall with around 200 delegates, the staff switched off the AC totally. That is totally bad. We feel so stuffy . I told him to on it , again after some time he switched off again. This happed so many times in a doctor conference on 17 th and 18 th December 2022. Please train your Staffs. 🔸The lunch and breakfast arrangement was done outside, but there are many houseflies on the food, which is unhygienic. There should be senitizer near plates , ... but not available.

Power sockets broken, most of them and cabs from the hotel are way too expensive, 8 times the cost of normal taxi fare. Better quality of shaving kit would be better. Overall a pleasant stay.

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They cheated me on Dollar conversion rate. They charged me at Rupees 75/ dollar where as the exchange rate was more than Rupees 83/$. The ripped me of for about Rs.2000 out of my bill of 16000 Indian Rupees. Bad experience. Though nice elegant place.

Very good location with a lake view. The rooms were very clean and neat. The staff was polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good and multiple options. Location is approx 30 mins from Surat station and approx 15 mins from Surat Airport.

I was for a business purpose and had a stay at Marriott hotel the rooms were clean and tidy, food was excellent but the services are quite slow at weekends like for checkin there was only one person and fifteen person were waiting security is very good but parking was in open area at my most of the stays parking are generally in basement or a different build up area but here it is open while raining it is difficult to reach without umbrella so please take care of these things and also the food was great I have to mention it again twice it felt like yes each food was from its own place so my overall experience was Best

Well located on the banks of Tapi River.. Quite scenic if room is facing the river( book accordingly) Service is not up to the mark, whether it was room service, or on dinning table during breakfast. It was an overnight stay, may think twice before another booking.

Their staffs are very helpful. Cleanness is excellent. Room is comfortable for business and leisure both. All the aminity are available in rooms. Room service is also to good. I should recommend my friends to visit this property.

Because of the name of Marriott, we booked this hotel, The overall service is good, The hospitality staff is very cooperative, The only problem when we stayed there was that, they given so many rooms for stay to some University students, so faced so much distribution and noise near our room. They should provide a different floor, so the only problem was we faced. Or else rooms are very clean and the location is also good.

Very Good but not up to level of excellence. Stay may be pleasant but food is okay. Once staff say there is self service and then they say please be seated food Will be served to you. Looking marvellous and be excellent hotelier by improving restaurant.

Clean and friendly. I did not stay here, we were just getting our alcohol permit. I did make a trip to their coffee bar area and got some candy for the kids. I do think I got ripped off even for american prices for the "fill your own cup of different candy," area. I got about 10-15 gummies bears and about 10-20 m&m pieces. I did get them in 2 cups because who would want to mix that up. I paid about 400 for it. That's about $5 us dollars. That's insane. They definitely did something wrong.

Nice place for refresh yourself, for taking rest from this fast life. Very good food.

Excellent hospitality. My kids love to play in the lush green lawns. The staff is very courteous and kid friendly. Over all the Sunday's are well spent!
