Four of us made a reservation at Alley Chow last night. Had never eaten here before and had heard fabulous things about it and it was time to try. We arrived a little before our booked time, was greeted by a very efficient female staff member who informed us that our table was not quite ready and seated us at the cocktail bar. We had only just ordered our drinks when our table became available. It was the most pleasant experience. The food was phenomenal as was the service. Great night's dining and cocktails also "hit the spot". Definitely be back again and "spreading the love".

To be honest we come here because of the staff, especially Tamsyn . Food is non questionable very good, drinks are off the charts but the service, man, this place knows what it takes to deliver a personalised customer experience The vegan Chiang Mai curry is THE BOMB! Even you’re a meat lover, trust me, try and thank me after 😆 They will make you feel home and always want to come here for a cozy time even to yourself, or some romantic companions

DELICIOUS! Best Pad See Ew we have ever had. The highlight for us was the sticky pork and crab in a Betel Leaf! Wow! Service was friendly and prompt, great vibe and one of the best coconut margaritas I’ve ever had. Definitely a must try! 🙌🏼

WOW! Ally Chow is incredible! This was our first visit, but it will be the first of many. The food and service is spectacular - equal best of anywhere we’ve ever been! We had sashimi of ocean trout, duck satay roti as well as 3 veggie side dishes - the flavors and textures were incredible. The staff are all fantastic - super attentive & friendly - but still gave us space to enjoy our anniversary. Our only regret is that we didn’t discover this place sooner!

We had a group of 7 dine here for a friends birthday and it was just amazing. We had Banquet 1 (which alone deserves 5 stars as it was so delicious) with ample food for everyone - we couldn't finish it all! Service was outstanding and they even brought out a little sparkler so we could sing Happy Birthday to my friend. Thankyou Ally Chow for such a wonderful night, we will all be back soon!

Beautiful food. Definitely a must to visit on any holiday trip at least for one dinner. The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious. Each dish was memorable. Not one of them missed the mark. I enjoyed the beetle leaf pork belly, crispy cauliflower and the delicious Pad See Ew.

Holy.... This is beautiful fresh fragrant food. If you want to go anywhere to share some platters between friends or family, go here. Their beef cheek special that was on was beautiful. Hopefully they keep it on the menu! Definitely deserves 5 stars and the staff were so lovely, friendly and assisting. Great work Ally Chow!

Went with a group of four at the end of February and we were all very happy with the choice of restaurant. The atmosphere / ambience was modern and the food was outstanding. We shared two large plates and three smaller plates and the dishes were tasty and more than enough to leave us sated. Service was friendly and engaging. Would definitely recommend this eatery.

We’ve been here several times and they don’t disappoint! Food is always excellent. The waitstaff is friendly and service is fantastic! Great place to go with friends and share several delicious plates.

We were a large group of (15) ladies celebrating a few birthdays. The team at Ally Chow were very accommodating, prompt to answer the phone when I was updating the reservation and had queries and seated us at a lovely large table in the alley. We ordered from the banquet menu and the service, food and drinks were all exceptional and good value. Topped off with desserts with sparklers for the Birthday girls. Thanks Ally Chow team, we will be back!

Great food, service was pretty good - got a few things wrong (but tried hard), alleyway had a steady stream of drunk people accessing the bar upstairs. Quite dark also. Wasn’t aware that dinner had a time limit (as didn’t see this when booking). For a 6pm booking, we’re asked to vacate table to next patrons at 730 (although girl asking was lovely) do think that’s poor form.

Top notch food here! Really loved the beef cheek! Also I tell you what, the dessert bao was freaking phenomenonal!!! 🔥

Food was ok but extreeeeemly expensive for what you get. A $16 burger is smaller than the palm of your hand, their oysters is only 1 oyster and their Wagu is basically kebab meat. Even at half the price you still couldn't say good value at that quality and portion size. Their service was very good but I couldnt bring myself to pay that much ever again, especially compared to what else is around for those prices.

Food was delicious, service was quick and informed with a smile and conversational tone. Atmosphere was stunning. Plus it was my dad’s birthday, we hadn’t told them but they must have overheard or seen the presents, and they brought out his dessert with sparklers in it!!! So kind and really made it special.

Love this restaurant highly recommend, we have dined here alone and with multiple friends and family visiting from Sydney. The service, food and drinks are fantastic. The staff and chef were very attentive to my multiple allergy list and was able to enjoy my meal. My only 2 negative on this visit is that the restaurant was quiet on Tuesday night and the service was slow for the food at one point but it was a group of 8 and there were a quite a few dumplings that had been ordered so I think it was about getting all the dumplings out together that was probably why. And my Beef Pad See Ew, did not have the egg on the side for my fiance who I said loves eggs its only me that allergic to eggs. Overall, as per usual every dish we ate was delicious. Great chef and look forward to going back again soon.

I went to Ally Chow last night with 3 friends, what an amazing night. The food was so delicious and tasty. We all loved everything we ate, especially the Pork Belly and Soft Shell Mud Crab. The service from the young English waitress was amazing, thank you We will definately be back

Food was amazing as it always is. It is always so delicious. The only fault which is not your fault is the alleyway. I will try to avoid booking out there in future due to the walkway to Tropic. It wont stop me going to Ally Chow but I will definitely request inside or out the front seating in future. Anyway congrats on your food being of impeccable quality :)

Tastiest food, consistently delicious, super interesting menu, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, creative cocktails. I take friends and family here for a casual week night meal or for celebrating a special occasion (the banquet is always an amazing option! Well worth the money). Would consider it my favourite restaurant on the Gold Coast.

Decided to try after hearing great reviews from friends. Extremely disappointed, service was terrible (7 wait staff in total, yet the chef had to tell staff twice we were needing the service). We had a 5.30pm booking, us and two other tables yet we couldn't get served when required. We were seated near the kitchen and it felt like the chef was cooking our food and taking our orders as he had to keep prompting the wait staff to attend to our table whilst they walked around doing nothing. After 10 minutes of being seated our drink order was taken, being served a half glass of Coconut Margarita for $21 we didn't get off to a great start. Our total bill was $160 for two. 10 minutes later after asking for a waitress our order was taken, one plate was completely left off our order due to the order not being repeated back to us. Incompetent wait staff. Food was great, beautiful flavours. Shame the service wasn't the same. Sorry guys, helpful, friendly and knowledgable staff are what make of break a business. We won't be back nor will I be recommending the restaurant to any family, friends or business clients.

100% recommended. My partner and I went for the first time two weeks ago and decided to go back with friends a few days later. The delicious food and the staff were incredibly excellent, attentive, close, and friendly.

Absolutely wonderful meal. Exceptional presentation, attention to flavour, balance and a sophisticated twist on Asian cuisine. In particular the house made XO is a real stand out. Made with fresh seafood for the paste, rather than the usual dried ingredients. It seriously boosts the flavour and reduces the coarseness of the sauce. A great place to enjoy some top-tier fusion without heading abroad.

The food was exceptional!! Best bao I've ever had. Well done to the chef's. The coconut Margarita was unreal!! Great lighting, great atmosphere. If I was to suggest anything for improvement it would be acoustic panels.... As it is load AF in there with the hard surfaces! Overall it was great night. Some of the best dishes I've had.. great atmosphere. Good vibes. Great service. Highly recommended going here!!

I took my bestie out for dinner for her birthday here over the weekend. We had a lovely time. The cocktails were delicious, the food was tasty and although we were seated near the alleyway to the toilet, the waiters didn't forget about us...the service was great. It was an enjoyable experience overall.

Dined on Saturday night with some friends, seated inside and had a WONDERFUL evening. Cocktails were expertly recommended by the waitress and very well balanced. Great to see such a vibey restaurant on the Gold Coast where the staff are happy and enjoying themselves as much as the customers. Will be back soon, THANK YOU Ally Chow

Really lovely experience, great food and lovely staff. We dined on Christmas Eve and we were a bit disappointed that upon receiving the bill there had been a public holiday surcharge added. We didn’t realise that Christmas Eve was a public holiday (it is after 6pm). My only feedback would be for staff to let customers know at the beginning of the sitting about the surcharge so there’s no surprises when the bill arrives. I booked online and the surcharge wasn’t mentioned then either. Other than that, we would definitely dine here again and really appreciated the lovely staff member serving us.

We had the duck, veggie curry and Thai red curry. Flavours were good but not outstanding. The decor is fab and service was great.

First time dining at Ally Chow last Thursday night, and a wonderful experience. Very friendly and attentive staff (we loved that they weren't pushy but gave great advice and suggestions), the food was spectacular. The highlight of our Nobby beach stay for certain, highly recommend.

Great food and service but it needs some greens on the menu lots of rich food and only offer leafy greens. Really needs some steamed greens or sautéed green to balance the rich food. We still smashed it all very yummy

It was amazing the only down side and it had nothing to do with ally chow was the construction across the road sort of killed the romantic lunch away
