Be careful booking with American Express Travel, Expedia or any other agent that has this advertised as a 4 star accommodation. I had it booked for 2 weeks but left after 1 night. The place had ant infestation, the mattress was just spring and has no quilt, there was mold in the shower, broken light, moldy kitchen, broken fridge. And to top it all off someone broke into my apartment in the evening when I was out. When I confronted the manager who was off her face, she kept stumbling over her words. Which I believe it was her that went in my apartment and through my belongings.

The location is great its close to everything however they try to charge you for everything even toilet paper, they charge for WIFI and I have to say the mattress in unit 37 was horrendous so uncomfortable you can feel every spring diging into you the door had small holes in them scuff marks everywhere the showere door was held by cable ties sounds better than some of the other apartments they make you pay a 300 damage fee and after everything they charge you it actually isn't cheap. I wouldn't stay here again

Horrible!!! On arrival the room was filthy, had a foul odour, had mould, pool was closed, and a number of other issues that we made reception aware of only to receive abuse from the receptionist who wouldn’t let us speak to management. The aggressive receptionist made it too uncomfortable to stay there and got no refund even tho we spent 5 minutes in the room. Absolutely worst experience in all our travels

Worse thing was the fridge didn’t keep anything cold and the water In the shower couldn’t keep a warm temp it just changed between really hot and really cold so was really hard to try shower the kids!! Very over priced for how run down the place is!! Try to get late check out and they can’t do it apparently! So all and all we won’t be back

First off the location was perfectly close to everything, the ladies in the office were very helpful and friendly, but that's where it stopped, the room we were taken to first was very dirty god I just wanted to cry, I said I can't in this room for 15 days, she took us to another room, it wasn't much better, but we had to grim and bear it, I was pleased to come home, I would never stay there again,

For the price this place I found this place is definitely not worth it. For over $700 for 4 nights … and when we arrived the photos we viewed were nothing like the room we booked, very small, I thought the room was serviced so I went to get fresh towels and was was told it’s not serviced until after 7 days as it was not a 5 star hotel ….. and usually for fresh towels it’s usually $5 each for fresh towels but that was overlooked. No bed head, only one bedside table, the bed was on wheels and moved in every direction and we were expected to use the bathroom sink to clean our dishes with no plug…. There was an out door area we had which was fake grass and cigarette butts every where.. also the bed linen was very old and not inviting. I could go on and on but would take up too much space… I would not definitely stay there again ….also just to note the one important thing is the showers were the worst… were it and cold the whole time… we could not wait to end our stay there…. But

When we first arrived didn’t think to much of it, unit 36 so a lot of stairs with two heavy bags but the room wasn’t to bad, washing machine dryer alot of room to move about stovetop to cook our breakfast ate out rest of the time staff were awesome stone throw away from The Star, Pacific Fair, Beach, Bars, and Restaurants. The pool and spa were great also! Would definitely stay there again.

We’ve stayed here a number of times over the years. Never again. With the new management, this place has REALLY gone down hill. The room smelled bad, was dirty, and when we mentioned this to the manager, he became aggressive towards us; almost worse was the fact that his poor wife seems used to him behaving badly like this! We will never stay at Aruba Sands ever again. You can do better elsewhere, without the stress.

We loved everything about our stay at Aruba Sands. Small complex so lots of room at the pool and spa. Parking underneath. Friendly staff and privately owned units. Ours was renovated beautifully. Everything you need within walking distance. Can't wait to go back!!!

1 star off, actually booked it thinking it was a resort but it's apartments. Great facilities, comfortable, not noisy, shower fine, laundry and cooking facilities, BBQ, pool and spa. Bit disappointed gym couldn't open to 8.30 and the stove was slooooow. Not expensive for an apartment would stay again. Manager Kelly was polite and helpful

when we qarrived we were given unit 32, this suite was run down and smelly, the stove was disgusting the fans had dust on them, the dishwasher smelly, there were scuff marks everwhere, the a/c was a pile of rust, the lounge was ripped, the dinning suite was old and damaged the stove was unusable, I complained to reception, she came back to the suite with us and agrred it was not good and wouyld give us a better suite if we could wait 30 minutes or so, then we arrived at unit 38 the fans were on full speed there were 2 air wicks pumping out the smell, the unit was a little better so we took it, we decided to relocate the overpowing air fresheners to the balcony and turn the fans down, it was then we could smell "vomit" yes dried up vomit whis was comming from beside the bed, I again complained to reception tell her that she must have been aware of the smell hence the fans and air wicks, she denied this and said they put the fans on all the time, i said no you dont because unit 32 had no fans on when we arrived, she then blamed the recent raind for the smell, I said no...its dried vomit, she organised for the cleaner to come the next day , she sprinked something on the carpet and gave it a vaccum, we had to buy scented candles for the rest of our stay as they refused to give us a refund so that we could relocate anlo space was limited or no existant as was a long weekend, this place stole our money, the website does not reflect the rooms we were given, ok there may be some better units in the complex...but I will never know. they even rubbed salt into the wound by telling we would not be charged for the extra cleaning....Im talking the vomit smell that was already there....shame on you people....shame...shame

Room was clean and good size and a good location. Everything else was not great - from the temperamental shower, dated decor, lack of free wifi, deafening noise from building works and mediocre customer service.

Our stay of 3 weeks. The unit was clean and tidy and good value for money. Walking distance to CBD and beach casino and Pacific Fair. Cleaned regularly and helpful staff will stay again

The hotel is nicely located, close to shoppings, the beach and restaurants, it is also 10 min away walking from both tram stations in Broadbeach. Our room wasn't clean by the time we arrived, next morning we reported to the admin and it was fixed. Toilet paper was barely supplied. The amenities are good, good pool and jacuzzi area open till 9pm. The place looks quite old, flats have microwave, washing and dryer machines. The aircon is located in the living room and there is an old schooled roof fan which isn't of much help. The WiFi is optional but you need to pay for it. The airport is around 40 min away and the parks around 1.5 hours away. Reception isn't 24 hours so make sure you get in touch in case you have a late arrival. The balcony I should say is the gem of the crowd as it is spacious and fresh.

Cheaper motel a bit out of the way but good size rooms, easy parking and huge pool that we had to ourselves. Very happy. Go try it

Highly disappointed, we booked and paid in October However I was admitted into hospital with heart failure, we contacted the resort to ask if we could change the date as I was in hospital or get a refund and was told Michelle would contact us. I was given a letter from the doctor confirming my illness. Michelle made no attempt to contact me but kept my money.

I booked for the new year 2021, but unfortunately due to covid border restrictions could not travel. They are are not refunding full amount and sticking to 50%cancellation charges. After requesting with them they offered credit for 6 months but with 15% reduced value. All my friends and colleagues have got full refund and they are so happy with their experience with othere hotels but I am sulking and regretting my decision to Pick them. Hoping to utilise the credit and the facility to be worth going.

Great accommodation I was pleased with my experience there Upon arrival I was impressed with how neat and tidy everything was and packed away all clean and ready for my special appearance for the 2 nights which I was there for in Broadbeach The 1 bedroom unit has everything you could possibly require for a stay in the Gold Coast or anywhere really I liked the customer service as well the staff were helpful when I needed an extra towel or had an enquiry Would recommend if you're staying in the Gold Coast especially Broadbeach the location is near to perfect with shops, the beach, eateries everywhere and the tram station near as well

If your looking for the perfect place to stay on the Gold Coast… then Aruba Sands is the place! As a Business Traveller I’ve been staying at Aruba Sands for 8 years. It’s my ‘go to place’ when staying on the GC. Why?? Well the location is the key! Walking distance to the beach, pacific fair, casino and all the bars & restaurants Broadbeach has to offer. You'e right in the heart of it! The building is a bright and attractive Spanish Villa nestled underneath all the multi high rises in Broadbeach. It has a tranquil old world charm about it. Its like an oasis! Sure it’s a little dated by todays standards. But value for money, I find it cant be beaten….and I’ve stayed just about everywhere on the Coast. I saw a bad review on Google, but the person was surely misinformed. There are three Aruba venues in Broadbeach….. Aruba Sands, Aruba Surf & Aruba Beach. Whilst similar in name they are all separately owned. Both the Surf & Beach are poor dwellings by comparison. The reviewer surely got his Aruba’s mixed up. The Aruba Sands is head & shoulders above these dwellings! What impresses me most (apart from its location) is the consistent level of Cleanliness! Not once in the 8 years Ive been staying there has it not been immaculately clean. This is the one feature that is a non negotiable with me. And Aruba Sands has always been impeccable here! Perfect for Families, Singles or Business Travellers (like me) it has a beautiful idyllic pool & spa to relax in after a busy day. The Manger Michelle, like the previous owners, is super helpful! Nothing is too much trouble for her or her staff. And they go above and beyond with help and advice to make sure you enjoy your stay. Brilliant! Sure you’ll find better lodgings in Broadbeach. But I doubt you’ll find one in a better location, so immaculately clean and at a budget price! For me, Aruba Sands ticks all the boxes!
