I had an exceptional experience during my night stay, the cozy atmosphere, combined with the spa package and nice views, made it a perfect retreat and will definitely come back.

Wonderful weekend at Sunset Heaven Royokan and spa with Emi and Toshiko. We had the most fantastic Japanese hospitality and shared the Japanese omakase special Kaiseki dinner on both Friday and Saturday evenings. We enjoyed the sounds of traditional Japanese instruments and the peaceful singing voice of Emi, this was then followed up with the brilliant southern night sky of star gazing. Breakfast on the veranda overlooking the valley was just so relaxing and we were also lucky enough to experience the sound healing meditation of Toshiko's singing bowl session. If you are looking for a warm welcoming with outstanding Japanese hospitality relaxing spa and traditional Japanese rooms this is the place to find all of these pleasures. We will be back to enjoy this slice of heaven on Mount Tamborine.

Just WOW! Emi and Madoka are the best hosts! Soo lovely, friendly and accommodating! We loved our rooms, Japanese themed interior, the kimonos, inside slippers to the outside shoes, the view was incredible, the spa bath, rock pool…wow! The dinner they cooked for us was yummy! We were so lucky to have Emi perform (sang & played Japanese harp) for us while we ate! Then she gave one of us a 2hr massage which I quote ‘was the best massage I’ve had in my life’. We even used the sauna! The breakfast the next day was so lovely and the 2min sound therapy session Emi did for each of us was so lovely! Thank you both so much! We can’t wait to come back!

Our stay was lovely and relaxing, a total feel of Japanese Ryokan and Spa with gorgeous view. Emi is very involve in making us feel welcome and relaxed, making sure we made the most of our stay for the night. The spa is one of the awesome package that you have to try while the sun is up and the weather is great!. Emi will give you a heads up with the weather and will adjust the time if necessary. Everything feels like we landed in Japan. From the most comfiest room with all the things you need, wearing yukata with the help of Emi, having authentic Japanese hotpot for dinner and her home made ice-cream. Breakfast in the morning before we go! She even made time for us to try the sound healing therapy and explain how good it is for your body. We will come back next time for different package and hope to get the massage and singing bowl therapy. Me and Chris enjoyed our stay! Definitely worth coming back next time! Thank you!

We stayed for our birthday. Since pandemic, I am not able to visit Japan for 3 years. This is a great mini Japanese holiday combined with Australian nature.
