Great food and service! The food is fresh, we will definitely come here again. My favourite is the Brisket noodle soup

Absolutely amazing restaurant. The owners customer service was amazing. We had a table booked and mentioned we had a one year old. When we arrived they had already set up a high chair, plates and cutlery for our child and their service throughout the night was beautiful. We ordered the petite banquet which was so reasonably priced considering how much food we got. Such big serves and we walked out satisfied having eaten nothing we didn’t enjoy. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience and we will recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Best fresh seafood on the coast! I took my partner here for lunch on Valentine’s Day, we really wanted to try abalone so we asked a waitress what she would recommend, (steamed abalone and ginger) we received the best customer service and will be going back again for more, nothing less then 5 stars

I’m a HK Chinese visiting Gold Coast for sightseeing. Teddy is an excellent host with a warm smile. Other staffs were friendly and polite too. Great service. We ordered a Queensland mud crab + steamed scallops with garlic. Food was fresh & delicious. The taste is exactly the right HK style. I highly recommended this restaurant and I will go back on my next visit.

Amazing and efficient service. Unrivalled to be honest. I have dined all over the world, and their care and concern and efficiency was outstanding. Food was great, delivered quickly and scrumptious. Just perhaps some music to enhance the atmosphere. But 9.5 out of 10!

Ordered 3 dishes (one per person) once finished the lady came over and told us we needed to order more as they had a minimum spend of $15 per person. I explained they should have stated that first or put up signs. When going to pay she initially tried to charge us for a extra dish, once we picked up on that she proceeded to tell us it was $1.50 extra for the table… and .17 for using eftpos, began explaining that it’s tough these days… I now know why they are doing so though, it’s because they are rude and just want to scam their customers for more money. Definitely do not recommend at all!!

What a great night we had at Melbas Asian Seafood. The food was delicious and presented to the table in a timely manner. Very good value however the highlight of the night was the wonderful way Susanne and Teddy treated us. We were a group of 27, one of our grandsons was celebrating his birthday and the hosts got out the Karaoke machine and had us all singing to him then left the machine for the teenagers to entertain and amuse us for a couple of hours. Only wish it was one of the first restaurants we went to as we would definitely have gone back.

We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood banquet for $150 for 2 persons. The food was delicious and the people were lovely. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. It's a hidden gem in the Gold coast. I'd say it was one of the best meals we had on our holiday. Well worth the $150 and included plenty of seafood including half lobster!

After debating which Chinese restaurant to visit and after reading reviews - we settled for Melbas. Great food ! The Peking duck was succulent and carved at the table and all other dishes were delicious too - service was fantastic , quick, attentive and genuinely happy to see us ! Well priced , good size meals - ticks every box - look no further. We would definitely return.

Fantastic food and fresh, Love it! I went to have lunch there with my husband. We ordered dimsim dishes. I really love salt and peper squid there...fresh and not chewy at all. Price there is high but worth it. Congee with century eggs and pork is also good. All dimsim dishes are delicous. Super friendly and good service staffs. Really recommend to try. 😍

When you order fish from the tank usually it is brought to you at table and then cooked. I order steamed fish and never saw it. 45 minutes later after eating other to dishes which were good, I said we going to long on fish. They carried on said its coming and talked me into sitting down and rushed out to fish fillets. Mine tasted not right and I said to partner its raw, had 3 bites and left it. 4.5 hour latter felt like i was dying. Projectile food poisoning both ends. What is it about asian culture to not admit mistakes,and we all move on. Could have said there was a issue offered me free deep fried iccream and my weekend on holiday could have continued. Its now 2 days latter I appreciate the shrunken stomach and wonder if I can eat today. Shame they smiled and were friendly as they placed that fish down. m

The best Chinese restaurant I've been to in the whole of Australia. Everything we ordered was spot on. I would highly recommend the lemon fried chicken.

We visited Melba’s with two young children. The staff could not have been more welcoming. Colouring in, plastic tableware (if you wanted it) and their food came out first. The adults ordered the mini buffet and it was the best meal we have had in a long time. Everything was fresh, hot and the servings were huge. The drinks and wine were lovely and the service impeccable. We will be recommending Melba’s to friends and family visiting the Gold Coast. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

We went as group and order many foods, fish, chicken, and other foods. We all share all the foods together. We all got sick later that night. Some of us were very sick and we throw up and sit on toilet very sick during the night. Sick all night and next day in bed sick more. We all ate together but that restaurant was only food we all eat that day together. Food not taste very good either. Will never go there again as they must not know how to be safe with food and have make us very sick in our stomach.

Found this gem in the heart of Surfers Paradise and it's worth a visit. Traditional delicious Chinese cuisine with a friendly service will surely make your visit memorable. Ordered Chilli pepper chicken fillets, White bait fish, Prawns in garlic sauce and beef in satay and everything was scrumptious. To top it off the host treated us to some dessert free of charge for my sons belated birthday. Opens Wed - Sunday it's worth a visit. Going back very soon.

This is the best Chinese seafood restaurant in Gold Coast. We have been here 3 times and love it so much. Food is delicious, staff and owners are very kind people, there are large variety of dishes to choose from and they can make most of them in a smaller portion for non big eaters who want to try different dishes. Great place 👍

Teddy is an excellent host. Lobster 🦞 was super delicious and fresh. Chilli chicken 🐔 was juicy and hot. Nice to sample the local scallops. Can see they have authentic dim sum which we might try on our next visit to Gold Coast, nice central location short hot from tram stop.

Friendly and fast service. We had the Peking duck 2 course meal and it was amazing. So fresh and flavourful. We will definitely be back to try more food shortly.

The Singapore style fried rice noodle was excellent! Seafood was good too. Friendly staff. Spacious atmosphere and wasn’t too busy. Look forward to trying more dishes and seafood there. Apparently they get fresh seafood deliveries on Thursdays.

Amazing service and very friendly, The food was outstanding and second to none , I will have to to say one of the best Chinese Restaurants we have been too. Very accommodating for children and made them feel very welcome. 5 Stars it should be 10stars. Thank you again we will be back. A very must to vist.

I had dinner at this restaurant one time during my trip. And I am very thankful for the hostess’s help to provide us useful advice when we did not catch the shuttle bus to BNE airport. Kind services and friendly help are appreciated.

The best meal I've ever had! We got the petite banquet and everything was delicious. An excellent selection to try a bit of everything. The portions were good sized and everything tasted phenomenal. The service was very friendly and the food came out fresh and quick. The price was very fair for the amount and quality of food served. Don't miss your chance to try this place!
