One of the most wholesome, pleasant and relaxing stays I’ve had. From the friendly airport pick up, the lovely breakfast and the bikes to explore Coolangatta, everything was perfect. Di makes the whole stay very enjoyable and creates a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Would highly reccomend

Great place to stay. No frills, great aesthetics, really clean & functional rooms. Listen to the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach all night long.

Beautifully decked out. So glad we got a parking spot. Everything the traveller required was there. Only suggestion. The fridge left very little room for the guest. 2 bottles of cold water free would have been the icong on the cake. Thank you for all the thoughtfulness when providing breakfast.

Stayed here for one night during the weekend and was very happy with the level of service we received. Communication was clear, the room was tidy and clean and the breakfast basket was a great little touch as well as the additional snacks and beverages available for purchase. Location is nice and quiet - less than a 2 minute walk to the beach. Will definitely be returning when we are in the area next - a good improvement would be a private carpark for guests.

LOVED this place! Everything about this place was perfect. A great location, nice and quiet with access to beautiful beaches and easy to get to restaurants etc. Di and team were fantastic and there were so many thoughtful touches in the room that made the stay even more perfect!

Been on a two week holiday making our way down the coast, staying at multiple places and we would have to say that our last stay at “La Costa” was our absolute favourite. Gorgeously cute, clean, fun rooms, breakfast daily which was a lovely simply but affective touch, 1min walk to the beach which we walked to every morning for a refreshing dip, beach bikes there for your leisure daily which to us was the second best part as it got you out riding around site seeing, but the best part to us was John and Diane's hospitality which was second to none. Being kind and welcoming is a rare gem so we thank you and will see you again T&R☀️🚲🌊

We are so happy with our stay at La Costa, the complimentary breakfast was a lovely (and much appreciated) touch! The rooms are clean and very sweet, it's well thought out and maintained lovingly. Plus it's incredibly close to the beach and to the airport as well. The hosts are very helpful too. A little gem!

Lovely spot for a retro Gold Coast stay with a book full of history and pics of the old motel. So close to the beach, you can hear the waves at night. Fabulous experience

Soooooo bloody cute! Retro feel....50s style bikes to ride along the beach front pathway...rooms clean and cosy and all that you need... will need transport, not really near anything...staff are beautiful...highly recommend

Nice rooms, but not cheap. Microwave is way too high, you shouldn’t be operating it above shoulder height, and I’m 6ft tall, it’s an accident waiting to happen. Location is the best part about the place.

The room was lovely and clean, so nicely decorated, complimentary breakfast. The staff are so kind, they stored my luggage safely as I had a late travel connection. It was an easy walk from the airport, And North Kirra. The bed was comfortable and the shower great! Honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better when I was looking for something easy and overnight close to the airport. Glad i found such a little gem! I hope i get to come back up this way and enjoy it again soon!

Wonderful little motel. Immaculately clean with all that you need. Great position near the beach and the owners are helpful and friendly. Really is something quite special.

Great spot with cool retro themed rooms. Each room also comes with a lovely outdoor area and dining set so you can relax out the front and enjoy the sea breeze. Nearest beach is roughly a 200m walk - from the front door of your room to the waters edge that is! Cafes and restaurants are a 10 minute walk down the road, but the walk is along the waters edge so it's quite lovely and relaxing. The heart of surfers is a quick 15-20 minute drive up the road, so it's still easy to get out and get your tourist on in town. Comfy bed. Air-con. High speed wifi. Kitchenette. The shower was pretty amazing too, nice and big with great pressure and heat. Di from the motel was lovely to deal with, very welcoming and made the booking process extremely easy. They also have after hours facilities available if you're checking in/out at unusual hours, like we did. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area!!

What a great find. Cute self contained, super helpful reception. Lovely little comfortable additions like free bike use and a cute beach bag with beach towels. Very close to the airport and beach.

This motel is ADORABLE. Di was such an awesome host from the first phone call I had with her. Her body double Linda while Di takes a much deserved break is also 10/10 Cute well equipped rooms. Mini bar with reasonable prices, complimentary breakfast/ transfers. 10 min walk to the airport and near all the best of kirra Beach and Cooly

It's a great nice little motel that has some heritage behind it. It's a treat for us to have found and stayed at this place for 2 nights just before we left GC. Great memories there. The room and the bathroom were quite small compared to other motel and hotels, but they do have characters and booking this place you should not aim for large luxury settings anyway. You could walk to the beach in like 2 minutes. Parking may be a small problem as I did see some cars got tickets after parking in front for more than 4 hours in day time.

Such a cute motel. We flew in very late from our flight and everything was made so easy for us. We loved the complimentary breakfast and the service. Di was a very lovely lady and was happy to help if we need anything. Would 100% recommend and would stay here again.

We stayed in a room with our 16yr old.. only 1 night for airport in the morning. Checkin was easy with key box. Reception staff lovely. Room was super clean and very retro quirky. Breakfast basket was a nice touch.

What an absolute gem! Room was delightful, decorated in a beachy vintage vibe. Very clean and well laid out. Lovely continental breakfast provided - bread, cereal, fruit and juice. Entire motel is gorgeous and hosts Di and John so friendly and helpful. Only a few minutes walk to the beach.

Amazing place to stay for a relaxing 3 night stay , Donna and hubby were lovely and helpful. We took advantage of the free vintage bikes , the bike path near the beach is great, we peddled to Kirra beach and have a great coffee at Byron bay coffee cafe. Even though close to airport, that didn’t bother us, nice watching planes take off. We will be back, just loved it

Every thing was so lovely. The staff a very friendly and always make sure you're comfy and have every thing you need. The rooms were very clean and they were decorated beautifully I really recommend staying here as it is so close to the beach and you can hire a bike to ride around with.

We loved our stay here. We were only here one night but it was perfect. They picked us up from the airport and dropped us there the next morning. It is walking distance to the beach and on a quiet enough street. The room was lovely and the breakfast provided was simple but enough. Would definitely stay again.

I Enjoyed my stay at this lovely motel. From the minute I arrived I was greeted from Diane the owner and felt very welcome. The rooms have been beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated and immaculately clean and well presented. Fantastic location close to the beach. I will be looking forward to staying at La Costa Motel next time I'm on the Coast. I highly recommend staying at La Costa Motel at Bilinga.

If I could give 10 stars I would. 3 flights cancelled in 1 day, being school holidays there was no accommodation around the airport except for this 1 room. The kiwi lady was just beyond amazing and we had somewhere to sleep due to her. The rooms are extremely clean and just beautiful. She was so beautiful and even picked us up. Cannot recommend this beautiful place enough. 100% perfect. Thank you for your kindness to make a pretty bad day end with a bang. Your kindness will always be remembered fondly. Even a continental brekky waiting for us in our room and a fully stocked supply of drinks, alcohol and snacks in the rooms. To sum up this motel: . amazing staff . amazing service . amazing room .amazing position
