Welcoming and friendly concierges, did their best to try and accommodate for us. The rooms are a little tired but comfortable. There were some suspicious stains on cushions on the bed and a finger nail in the kitchen sink... The spa was out of order for the majority of our stay but was still hot enough to enjoy. The gym is well equipped and the sauna is great! We stayed here also about 10 years ago and it's exactly the same as it was then. Overall, for a mid budget accommodation is pretty good.

Booked it in the morning at the day we want to live, found the amazing deal and enjoy 1mins walk to the beach! Big apartment and great value for just one family! Very convenient to the Main Street. Front desk are so friendly and polite! Great helpful and patience! Would recommend friends to book in from them!

We stayed here for 8 nights with our toddler recently. Cons: -I had asked prior to booking, then when placing the booking, then at check in to ensure a cot would be placed in our room (which we paid a fee for). Cot was not there unfortunately when we arrived to room and I had to ask again - even though reception told me it was there. -Had a fire evacuation when we checked in which meant we couldn’t get to room for number of hours (so totally understandable) but it felt a bit chaotic and no mention or apology brought up for remainder of time. It would have been nice since we paid for that day but didn’t get to actually use the room. -Room was SO dirty which was the biggest let down. Like to the point that we didn’t use one of the showers. I’ll attach photos. I definitely understand they are self contained but mould is a big no no - and the reason we won’t be staying here again. Cracked mirror with black tape through it. Pros: -Great location, walking distance to restaurants and beach. -Room sizes are great -They provided basic amenities and products which they didn’t have to like laundry detergent to last a few days! -Pricing was reasonable

Some bookings you make via travel apps with total reliance on reviews by others, and pictures provided by the establishment, and if you're a frequent traveller, you find that the hype don't always match the reality, and the pictures must have been taken by a drone to have captured that view. Well, this place is not one of them, and the hype did match the reality. The room we stayed in on Level 22 facing south had a 180° view from the beach on the East and to the river and mountains facing West, uninterrupted by the tall monstrosity of skyscrapers that is the norm in Surfer's Paradise a distant couple blocks away and beyond. Location is fantastic with 5 min stroll to the beach, or 10 min to the main centre. Very clean rooms and so quiet. All the appliances and facilities you need for short or long stay, and in good working order. The front desk staff were very helpful and polite. Highly recommend this place for a holiday

Only OK. Lifts were in service so only one working lift for a 29 story building. Up to a 15 minute wait during busy times. Showers awful - either scorching hot or cold. Bathrooms NOT clean on check in. Probably wouldn’t recommend - there are better options for a similar price on the GC.

Few things that let this place down when we stayed here on our holiday . 1- only 1 working lift for 35 levels. 2 - the bathroom was filthy ( splatters on the walls and doors , the toilet itself has not been cleaned properly after the previous stay) Flaking paint on walls and bathroom ceiling. 3- shower over bath - we couldn’t shower properly it would be - scorching hot , or ice cold - no in between. 4 - the bed itself was extremely firm and the pillows were like rocks. 5- reception was never open. Locations was great , 7mins walk from Surface centre. Had a pool , spa and a gym facility and parking.

Very convenient spot as its walking distance to the beach and shops/restaurants. However the room is very oudated, and the couch and bed are quite worn out. Room could do with a renovation - stains on carpet, marks on walls, bathroom has some mould. I would've booked somewhere else and just paid a little bit extra for something newer if i knew... The pool and BBQ area are nice. Front reception staff were nice.

We have stayed here as a group for the Masters Games for the past two times and will be doing so again next month. It is truly our home away from home when we come up for the games and they look after us so well. No request is too much trouble and they genuinely want our stay to be happy and easy. The rooms are comfortable and location great - on the tram and a block from the beach and walking distance to heart of Surfers. We use the superior rooms for team HQ and to accommodate the groups of 4-5 and use the standard rooms for 3 people although the smaller rooms can easily accommodate 4, we like the extra room. The pool is lovely and never busy and the outdoor BBQ space is perfect for a team dinner. I looked at lots of hotels on the Gold Coast for our team and Artique always comes up the best value and their customer service always seals it. High recommended.

We had a great stay here in a two bedroom apartment. The reception staff were super friendly especially the young guy - made us feel like welcome friends. Room overall felt clean though probably ready for a big “annual” clean of skirting boards, curtains, lounges, carpets etc. Door locks to balcony were in need of repair. The second bathroom was incredibly small, which didn’t worry us as our kids are small but it definitely wouldn’t suffice well for teenagers. The kids and I absolutely loved the little resort cinema - it was a real highlight of our trip as we got to borrow the titanic dvd from reception & watch on the big screen! The weather was rainy and cold while we were there, so we were very grateful for the hot outdoor spa. One lift was out of action - the sign mentioned a part had been ordered sometime ago. This was very frustrating for all guests, for a resort that size to have only two lifts in the first place is probably not enough. Everyone spent a lot of time waiting for lifts, and cramming tightly when you were lucky enough to get one. Walking distance to Surfers but a little too far with little ones legs to do too often. Overall we were very impressed, & would definitely stay again

Was such a great place to stay. It was nice, clean and tidy. Great size for a family of 4. Pool and spa were used daily by us. Location was great, beach at the end of the road and main street just a 5 min walk. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again!

Comfortable stay, but probably wouldn’t stay here again. They let us have an early checkin- which helped heaps with 2 young children. The apartment was surface clean, but needed a good deep clean and the furniture and decor was tired. A major downer was that the wifi didn’t work throughout our entire stay, despite reporting it each day. Beautiful views from the sea side.

Definitely doesn't justify the 4.5 star rating. Recent experience after 2 years of Covid and border closures was very disappointing. Pool shut for maintenance, aircon not working in corridors, only one lift in operation and packed with unmasked guests, but the icing on the cake was the jack hammer and drilling going all day. Management could have done better and offered a discount, but obviously didn't. Internals were just okay, lights not working and lots of scuff marks on walls. Can't understand why repairs and maintenance not carried out while the QLD borders were shut, perfect time in my opinion.

Im giving five because my family and I had a lovely time on the coast again. There was a glitch on my booking they put us on a regular 2 bedroom apartment and I was very disappointed when we got there. It was after hours when we arrived so I had to wait until they open the next day. I am sure I booked for the partial ocean view. We are visiting the coast once or twice a year. But I always make sure we stay in ocean view for a relaxing stay away from work and stress. Good thing I have screenshots of what I booked for because I compared the prices between their website and another booking company. Initially they said they are happy to move us to partial ocean view but will have to pay for the cleaning fee of the regular 2 bedroom apartment they put us in. But I know what I paid for so I pushed on getting what I’ve paid for and even compared the rate on the website for same date. It shows that the regular 2 bedroom apartment is cheaper than what I paid and the ocean view is more of a match of what I paid for. After all that issue they were happy to put us in the right room without paying for the cleaning fee. The Artique resort is a lovely place to stay. Very family oriented. My kids love the swimming pool and spa. My husband and I enjoyed the Sauna. Walking distance to restaurants and beach. Clean and spacious. It has kitchen and laundry area. Gym, parking included and theatre to enjoy with family.

Stayed a week with my family and could not have asked for better accommodation! Room was clean and modern and staff were very friendly. A special mention to Rachael at the reception desk who always had a smile on her face and went out of her way to make our stay as special as she could!! Would definitely recommend!!!

Enjoyed our stay here, the room was lovely and the view was incredible! A couple of downfalls however, we noticed the aircon wasn’t cooling the room down at all after the 2nd day, even when having it on for a few hours. Also, the 1 working elevator situation was quite annoying as we were waiting up to 10-15mins sometimes just to get on, and a lot of us were all squished in like a can of sardines, not nice! Would of been good if the reception staff let us know about this upon checking in but I get that these things happen.

Best value for money we've received on the Gold Coast. Due to the low price of 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment.. we weren't expecting anything too nice. We were pleasantly surprised from the moment we stepped into the foyer and greeted by 2 lovely ladies at the front desk to the time we dropped back our keys and went home. The 2 bedroom apartment was situated on the 19th floor with great views everywhere! My 4-year-old son loved being at eye level with the crane operator working on a nearby construction site! The apartment was clean, well stocked, very spacious, with huge balconies, which I felt had the same m² area as the indoor living spaces combined. We used the gorgeous pool and spa area and were treated to the sauna and steam room also. It's a lovely sized gym, too. To top off our experience, the lovely lady at the front desk asked if we'd be interested in booking the free cinema.. we booked it for our little family of 4 and picked out a DVD to watch. Weren't we surprised when we walked into the ultimate cinema experience! There were 3 rows of reclining chairs with a huge screen and full surround sound and cinema experience.. what a treat! Thank you for our stay, and we'll be back again!!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Artique in Surfer's Paradise, Gold Coast. The location is truly unbeatable, offering easy access to the tram, Surfers Paradise Mall, and the beach, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. Furthermore, the proximity to tram and bus stops made it exceptionally easy to get around Gold Coast. The staff at Artique were exceptional, consistently demonstrating a high level of friendliness and warmth that made me feel right at home. Their welcoming attitude added a personal and memorable touch to my stay. I must mention Jay, who stood out as an exceptional member of the team and made my experience even more enjoyable. The room itself was a delight. It was incredibly spacious and comfortable, serving as the perfect retreat after a day of city exploration. I discovered that everything I needed for a comfortable stay was readily available in the room. In conclusion, Artique is undoubtedly a top-notch choice for anyone visiting Gold Coast. Its prime location, along with the welcoming and friendly staff, combined with the comfortable rooms, make it a standout option for an unforgettable stay in this vibrant city.

Gorgeous place to safe. Super secure, amenities are top notch. Drink and snack machine in foyer 👌. Close to the heart of Surfers but far enough away to not hear the noise of the nightlife. Close to beach with beautiful breeze off the water

Stayed at the Artique for business for a few nights; room and location was fabulous, but the building doesn’t really have a reception to support business travelers. Don’t get me wrong, I think the rooms and general fit out of the building is sensational. Great value for money, great location and great facilities. That said, couple of minor gripes. The shower / bath just didn’t drain efficiently. I ended up standing in a pool of water whilst showering. Plus I didn’t manage to ever catch reception outside of business hours. I was receiving correspondence from the hotel to pop down and fill out paperwork but the counter was never open outside of regular business hours. Don’t get me wrong, I would happily stay here again. Just a couple of minor items, all of which could be overcome.

The location was perfect, and the pool area was nice. Where we were let down a bit was the room. It was a little run down. The carpet needed a steam clean, and the sofas were broken and so uncomfortable to sit on. The outdoor seating was ripped. Could easily be fixed if a bit of money is spent on the room.

I recently stayed at Artique and overall had a great experience. The hotel had a great location, and the room was comfortable and clean. The highlight of my stay was the gym, which was well-equipped and had a good variety of machines. However, I do wish that they had heavier dumbbells available for those looking to lift heavier weights. Other than that, I would recommend Artique for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay.

Stayed here for 4 nights and it was really nice, great view, place is within walking distance to shops and food (if you don’t want to walk it’s also close to the tram stop!) the place had everything we needed. Pool and spa was lovely too!

Great place to stay with kids. Nice large modern apartments with great ocean views. Pool, spa, gym, BBQ areas all nice and a quick walk to beach and northcliffe surf club make this a great spot to relax. Movie Theatre was a big bonus which kids loved on our last day! Thanks for having us. Apt #2604

I have stayed here twice previously a few years ago and it was great, we recently stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment 2305 and were so dissatisfied. The apartment floor was sticky and filthy the pillows on both beds were rock hard, the furniture was bits and pieces of tired worn out left over furniture. Neither bathroom had exhausts that worked so showers were extremely steamy and mould was starting to form. The walk in wardrobe had the door ripped off and holes in the walls and the blinds have yellowed have paint on them and fraying and going mouldy. The tenants above us sounded like a bowling alley with the thudding and banging all night. The balcony door also doesn’t lock which is a safety issue with little kids. It certainly isn’t what it use to be and is in DESPERATE need of a revamp and some money spent on it.

The Artique Resort Gold Coast has a convenient location and offers some decent amenities. However, its outdated decor, worn furnishings, and lack of attention to detail detract from the overall experience. A renovation is undoubtedly needed to bring this property up to the standards expected of a resort in this price range. If you're looking for a modern and luxurious stay, you may want to consider other options in the area.

Stayed here for 7 nights with my partner very recently and we were very happy with the cleanliness and size of the room and the amazing views of the river and ocean. The staff down at reception were so nice every time we saw them and helpful with any questions we had. Only a short 10 minute walk to all the fun activities in sufers paradise, we will definitely stay here if we are ever back in surfers paradise.

Stayed in a 2bdrm apartment on the 28th floor. Was a great room with a good size balcony looking over the ocean 1 way and surfers the other way. Clean, comfortable, self contained, slept 5 of us. Good value

One of the best service apartments in Surfers Paradise. Reception is welcoming lovely. Free secured parking throughout the stay. Don’t miss out the cinema room if you don’t have plan to go out. Spa, Pool, Sauna and steam room are great. We have made a right choice for this accomodation.

We were a bit worried before we got there due to a few reviews on here but.... we were very happy once we had arrived. The 2 bedroom apartment we were in was great. Perfect for our family . The view was awesome. The pool and spa was a real treat for the kids. The minimal interaction we had with staff was super friendly. BBQ area was nice and tidy etc. Parking was awesome. Washing machine and drier was a bonus to have in our apartment too. All and all was a great experience and most definitely will return in the future.

Loved the stay, fourth time staying at Artique since 2011, great facilities, The apartments are due for a fresh paint and floor polish but overall very happy and will definitely book it again.

  • 4/5 Michael R. 1 year ago on Google
Very comfortable and well appointed. Probably could do with a freshen-up and some minor repairs. Also needs checking and replacing of missing crockery and cutlery. Close to restaurants and shops. Close to public transport. The tram is a revelation. So easy to get to/from the airport and main shopping centres. That said, we would happily stay here again.

Very pleasant relaxing stay. Enjoyed the sunny balcony and lounge room. Great winter spot. Everything we needed was in the apartment. Great quick lifts, taking just a few seconds to get to your level. Secured parking undercover. Close to Surfers and Broadbeach.

Overall, we had a great experience at Artique Resort. On arrival we were greeted by friendly receptionists who were able to give us information about nearby activities and attractions. However, to enter rooms we were given a key, unlike other hotels and resorts that had a card entry system rather than a key. We stayed in the 2 bedroom superior ocean view apartment and it was a glorious room. The room was spacious, the bedrooms were cosy and our balcony had a 270 degree view of the gold coast. It made waking up in the morning to beaches views of cavil avenue and rivers amazing. The resort featured a swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and gym. The swimming pool was lovely and had led lights that lit up at night. The jacuzzi was extremely soothing and was a nice way to unwind after and adventurous day out. The steam room and sauna was high quality and much enjoyed by my family. However, a problem occurred on only the second day of our stay. One of the elevators completely stopped working and had to be put under maintenance. As the resort only has 2 elevators, there was only one in use, which caused absolutely havoc for the guests. We had to wait at least 5 minutes every time the lift was called, and sometimes the lift would be so full that we couldn't squeeze in. On the ground floor, there was lines outside the lift as the one elevator was jam packed and could not accommodate the hotel guests. We were continuously asking reception when it would be fixed and they never had an answer. Beware, a local told us that the lift gets broken almost every school holidays and long weekends, so please keep that in mind when planning trip. To improve this hotel, I would suggest implementing door bells in the rooms due to a personal experience of mine. It was mid morning and I went outside to check if the elevator had been fixed or not. The door slammed behind me and I was locked out! I was banging on the door but no one could here me. Due to this, I was stuck for almost 2 hours! If a doorbell was installed, a problem like this wouldn't have occurred.
