We are halfway through our 7 night stay and oh my god ! This place is amazing, we came across it online after our last stay on the gold coast last january , researched other places but kept coming back to this one , called up and spoke to reception about booking , she was so helpful and listened to what we were looking for, and we got exactly what we wanted! High up with ocean facing views. We are staying in 14B which is 2 bedroom , 2 bathroom ,air con and full kitchen and wrap around balcony. Our unit is very spacious , clean and extremely comfortable lounges. The complex itself is fantastic, pool , spa, tennis court , bbq area is clean and inviting and with direct access to the beautiful beach its so much more than i expected . I cannot praise this place enough and keep just keep typing about it. I highly doubt we will ever stay elsewhere up here. Breakers North , highly highly recommended !! P.S Did I mention the swim flags are right in front of Breakers North !!

Had the worst experience ever, booking in to the place was a nightmare. Gave Vicki at reception my ID's Vicki then gave them back but then asked for my Visa card again so pulled it out of my wallet and gave it back, after some time Vicki asked if she had given my Visa back which I said no and after Vicki looking in my handbag and wallet x3 and her husband x1 accused me of having put it somewhere. Vicki also checked the CCTV but didn't go far enough and again said I must have it. After asking for a copy of the CCTV each day on the fourth day of our stay Vicki called and said she had found it behind the photo copier but no apology. The room had stains on the carpet and paint chipped off and windows were that dirty. All in all the worst place ever to stay.

Luke at the front desk is incredibly rude and unhelpful. I booked through Wotif, NOTHING at all on their website about the pool being closed, it was not until after I had booked a "non refundable" ticket that I received an email from the hotel stating that the pool was closed from June to December 2023. When I called the apartments Luke answered the phone and I questioned if their pool was actually closed and all I got was "yep" I then probed some more and stated that there was nothing listed on their website or wotifs website and he said that they don't manage the wotif page so there was nothing he could do about it. He was extremely blunt and had a terrible attitude. Also advised that we would be unable to park our car there as it is over 2m high and the carparks they normally have reserved for higher cars are being used by the pool maintenance guys. Erich means we would have to park on the street and move our car every three hours. Absolute joke, incredibly disappointed. Wotif were extremely helpful and we were actually able to get a refund from them but Luke from the hotel is in need of some serious "customer service" training. Can't believe how he spoke to us.

Stayed for a weekend and had a fabulous time. Jan and Lucy were super friendly and helpful during our stay.....nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in an ocean view room on the 1st floor as I do not like heights! It had a great view over looking the pool and you could see the beach and ocean from the balcony. The unit was spacious, clean and had everything that we needed. We just loved being right on the beach with no roads to cross and still walking distance to everything. Thanks for our stay, cannot wait to come back next year!

Excallent place to stay for families or couples. The apartments are spacious and are fully furnished with all you could ever need, washing machine, dryer, full kitchen with the works, this place has it all. Friendly staff at front desk and free secure parking, facilities, pool, spa, tennis court, rackets, balls at reception, board games, boogie boards ,towels etc at reception & helpful, proffessional staff. The views from our balcony were beautiful and we even saw a whale breach from the balcony which was awesome. Perfect views to the beach and the beach is smack bang right there. Very comfortable beds aswell. The city view apartment was beautiful too & we could see the mountains and the river aswell as the beach but really this is an awesome place with the works. Highly reccomend

My husband and myself would love to thank the staff, we had the best time and the appartment was just stunning. We stayed in 15B and what a view complete beach front, very clean and so well furnished. We will be back 100%

We have stayed here twice now for 3 months in total. Yes there is construction at Jewel but it is really not that bad. No noise after 5pm nor before 7am. Most days we are out anyway. We used the pool quite a few times though and the construction didn’t bother us at all. What’s most important is the staff are super friendly and very easy to deal with. The facilities are great at the price with direct access to the beach which is quite rare. Tennis courts sauna and spa top it off, not to mention excellent and clean BBQ facilities. I hate it when people get on their high horse and become super critical and drop whinging reviews which are nothing to do with the actual property. Get a life and think about what your crappy review does to hard working people and a great business trying to do its best.

Well the apartment we stayed in was really tired. A very old fridge in the kitchen that was past its use by date. The bathroom was in need of a revamp, laminate on bathroom basin was lifting. The mirror in the bathroom was worn. No fan in the bathroom for ventilation. It wouldn’t cost a lot to tidy this place up. It also didn’t feel and look clean. The location to the beach was awesome. The pool and spa were gold.

Booked an ocean view 2 bedroom apartment due to the images online which show the ocean clearly visible from inside the rooms but this is not the case at all. What is described as an ocean view apartment actually faces north to a construction site (not east towards the ocean). Furnishings very dated and uncomfortable, plus lots of constant noise from the construction next door and the pool. I did raise these issues with staff at the time and got nowhere. Very unhappy with the misrepresentation of this 'ocean view' apartment.

Best ten days I’ve had in twelve years Thank you As a weary business family in the public constantly this break was SO needed and long deserved. Disappointed we didn’t have three weeks to stay & would do it all again ( and will) very soon Room 1a was the best. I didn’t want high up & I wanted a bath. All I asked for was given. Thank you

Paid $376 non-refundable to stay 2 nights, wound up leaving rather than stay the second night. The only positive things about the place was the location, with a beautiful view of the ocean & mountains, and the shower had hot water & good water pressure. That's it. The current condition of the apartment (15G) is filthy, the photos used in the ad are likely over 10years old. The carpet has heavy staining and lifting throughout. Even the placemats on the dining table were filthy with leftover crumbs and food still attached. The fridge is extremely noisy, as well as the vent in the bathroom which was covered in dust inches thick. The couch was extremely old, worn, and cracked. When I sat on it it sunk right down to the frame. The bedroom ceiling has water stains & mould. When I unfolded the quilt after 10pm the first thing I noticed was what looked like an old bloodstain (amongst other various stains). The customer service was abysmal; the couple behind the counter were extremely stand-offish and surly. The carpark was ludicrous; I almost collided with a vehicle exiting as I was entering because there was no warning from the people at reception nor signs prior to the entry that the fob locations are on the wrong side of the driveway, there are arrows directing exiting cars to drive on the right hand side but nothing for cars entering. During the day on Friday an extremely intrusive and loud drilling started somewhere above or next to the unit I was in. After putting up a with it on/off for an hour, I rang down to reception to ask about it and was first told there's no maintenance scheduled inside, it must be the work going on a few buildings down (it definitely wasn't), then "the pool & spa guys aren't doing maintenance today..." and repeatedly said no maintenance scheduled today before they remembered another unit nearby was having 5 new lights installed and that must be the cause, but "they didn't know that was scheduled for today." ?! When I asked if they knew how long the noise would continue, the response was just a scoff down the phone and: "I dunno, as long as it takes?" The drilling continued throughout the day, I evenutally gave up and checked out at 2:30pm. I regret wasting my money at this place. Wouldn't stay here again no matter how desperate.

Great location... but carpet in unit past its use by date. Not upfront with maintenance in pool area. Once these few things have been upgraded an awesome place to stay.
