I'm reviewing as a current patient with CDA and I'm sharing some of my frustrations with the current system of communication. Phones aren't monitored. I've called CDA 30+ times in a 24hr period, selecting any & all departments and receiving no responses. You could tell me that CDA had closed down and it would be easily believable. When using the dispensary the CDA operates, I was strongly advised that orders are placed via email, as it is quicker than any alternative and there is a paper trail of timed receipts for when the little-discussed 'deadline' of 1 pm is crossed, and you can no longer receive your medication.Which is completely false. I have placed orders days in advance via email, and had a typical lack of response, leading to me going into the clinic to have it acknowledged, paying the bill, and then being sent home empty-handed and needing to return the following day. Honestly, this experience with CDA has been unusual. At first, my experience was smooth and bump-free. Now, however, appears that CDA has resigned from its reputation as a reliable and respectable provider. I'm extremely confident that this isn't the first time communication failures have been brought to the staff's attention. Thanks,Sam

They started off pretty alright, have helpful and well informed practitioners. Unfortunately they are now charging between $25-80 to have your scripts sent anywhere aside from their own pharmacy. This wouldn't be a problem if their pharmacy was competent but given it takes over a week just to be invoiced for my order, let alone actually receive it, I do not considered it an acceptable option.

I would highly reccommend using a different clinic as they have given me the runaround for over a month now. As a returning patient I had to wait over 5 weeks for my return consultation, which was then missed. When calling up to find out why I was told it had been missed by the consultation team and they were away home for the day. When booking my consultation they had assured me all paperwork was in order and now 5 weeks later are asking for an updated referral and have booked me in another 3 weeks from now. Unless you want to wait over 2 months to find out what is happening I would highly suggest using a different practice.

Do not deal with this company, they are all about revenue raising and have the worst service ever. Once you are a patient, follow up appointments are booked one month off as they do not have the resources to cope. You always deal with a different doctor, and in the instance of wanting to question a scrip, i have been waiting over 10 days for the doctor to call me back. Rather go to a doctor that charges a once off fee as CDA charge each time you need a different script.

I’ve been with these guys for two years and the quality of service here has dropped and dropped. It’s now near impossible to get past the timed que over the phone that cuts to a voicemail service after 4 minutes, appointments are harder and harder to come by with wait times increasing and no option to sign on to a wait list for appointments that become free. It seems as their demand has grown, they have done little to accomodate in their reception team size, treating staff team size, hold protocols or hold capacity. I would prefer to hold when I am available than have a call back and play phone tag when I am not, Similarly their partner pharmacies are not easily accessible any longer either, usually I’m unable to even get a dial tone, and they are so backed up that it often takes over a week for medicine to be dispensed. I would love to see CDA remedy this, as they begin to grow and make more money they should spend some of it ensuring their loyal patients needs are met, otherwise they will start to lose them to their clinics.

Initially a very good service (2 years ago), though the Brisbane compounding pharmacy has always been hit and miss. My husband is terminally ill, this medication is part of his palliative care program and we are currently on week 3 of waiting for scripts to be sent to the new pharmacy. Not good enough. They seem happy enough to take your money but there is no loyalty to the customer at all. I would go through another provider if you were in the process of deciding.

I wish I could give a lower rating. Avoid this company. My partner has been a patient with them for the last two years. Initially they were great and I recommend them highly but they clearly have gotten busier and have not staffed to manage this resulting in mistakes and rude staff members. You can spend hours waiting on hold to get through to the dispensary, if you're lucky enough to get through at all. Emails don't get answered, you need to follow up to have invoices sent through and again to see if your medication has actually been sent out, they'll send you medication from batches you have requested not to receive and then they'll loose your mail and take days to follow up with Australia post to deem it missing. Their advice? You can do another order while you wait for Australia post. Oh yeah people are just made of money and can order extremely expensive medication twice cause the company can't do their job. Australia's leading plant based medicine, yeah right. Perhaps get more staff to manage the level of patients you have. Cause these are patients, waiting on medication. A little bit of empathy to situations goes a long way but your staff make patients feel like they are just looking for a hook up. What a joke.

Great clinic with amazing staff - Telehealth only now. Been meaning to do a review for a long time now and staff member who I felt with today reminded me how awesome their service is! Caring and knowledgeable and I love the new app.

Not good if you require consistent, reliable medication that comes quickly and is easily ordered. They have almost completely shut down. They don’t respond to emails. They don’t answer phone calls. They no longer have a dispensary. The reviews say it all. The external pharmacies they use are terrible, and you have to call to order and you’ll call for hours and hours wasting time every time you need to order. The nurses and drs have been very nice, but it’s too hard to get an appointment, too hard to even speak to them, takes too long to get medication and they seem to have constantly changing policies it’s very hard to keep up.

I’m really impressed with the knowledge & help that Emma & the Dr’s have provided for me. They have a great understanding of plant medicine & it’s amazing benefits. It has certainly helped me to handle my pain management problems & chemo side-effects. I can’t recommend these guys’ enough! Jarrod.

My experience with CDA Clinics was great about 1 year ago. I went to see a doctor and he was compassionate and caring. Now when you contact them they don’t answer the phone, your scripts cannot be sent to a chemist nearby unless you pay $45 on top of the $59 consultation fee charged every 3 months. I went into Varsity Lakes clinic the other day to follow up scripts that should’ve been sent to the chemist in Bundall and they hadn’t done it. It seems to me that they just don’t care anymore. It’s a shame really.

After initial going through Cannabis Access Clinic and spending a lot on there fees was then to be let down again I looked elsewhere and found Cannabis Doctors Australia. Dr Jansen, CDA was fantastic, he followed up on everything with me phone and email and delivered on everything he said and also Way cheaper than the other Clinic. Definitely happy to recommend them.

Spoke with kirsten today, initially about follow up app. Spoke about how great new app is and how much it simplifies the product purchase. Closer to home the Chemist is easy to access. No postage anymore. No lost product. No waiting on the phone.. The whole process is smoother and safer. Looking forward to any changes to update app. Message system through app would be great. I'm old and this has made it simple for me. Hopefully others are loving the benefit of having this app.

And a big thank you to Emma who educated myself that you can buy empty capsules from the chemist to help me take the capsules due to not liking the taste of the oil. I've been visiting this establishment now for a couple of months and I highly recommend it for those who need help with finding reliable and certified care to handle medication for pain relief, anxiety, depression, fatigue, eating disorders and more. The staff are friendly and helpful and always leave you with a smile. The physician is very knowledgeable and friendly and I felt very comfortable, making it easier to talk about topics I wouldn't normally with my regular doctor and I felt like they actually want to help. I highly recommend having at least 1 consultation if you are new to alternative medicine scene. The physicians are knowledgeable and experienced so please don't hesitate to ask questions.

Dr Matua Jansen has gone well and truly above and beyond what I have come to expect from the medical profession in order to assist my elderly neighbour. My friend aged 83 has suffered from debilitating pain for most of her life. Unable to tolerate NSAIDs or opioids because of the side effects, CBD offers her the possibility of obtaining some quality of life in her final years. I don't understand why there seems to be a reluctance amongst many GP's to consider this alternative when the "medical model" fails so many people and traditional pharmaceuticals have so many contraindications. Four years ago I was diagnosed with meniere's disease. It is a condition that causes extreme vertigo, hearing loss and effects balance. Meniere's disease has no cure and I had tried countless treatments trying to get at least some improvement. Since getting treatment from CDA clinics I have noticed a massive improvement. It is still early days for me as I have only been getting treatment for six weeks but have noticed a big decrease in vertigo episodes and I can now hear out of my bad ear once again. I highly recommend for anyone who is seeking medical help for whatever condition to go in and have a appointment with CDA clinics

The app is absolutely fantastic, I'm 2 1/2 hours from Brisbane I order it in the app one day and it's in my local pharmacy the next day ! The staff are always very helpful with any questions and I very knowledgeable. They always try to accommodate me CDA is just easiest , simplest, most friendly informative and safest way to access medical marijuana.

Pretty awful service, prompt reply via initial contact, after I sent through all of my details, nothing! I called and they told me i might get a call back to make an appointment in 5 days! I went to Cannvalate and was immediately tended to and cheaper, received my prescription a week later!

The nurses and doctors are friendly and easy to talk to. They don't judge you, and you feel comfortable opening up truthfully. After a short conversation, the Dr will recommend to you what products you will benefit from and you will feel confident to order. Great Clinic and staff, I have been going to this Clinic for a couple of years now and the Dr's and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Today I spoke with Nurse Deb who was very helpful and nice and clear on the phone with Telehealth. I am a pain patient and would recommend this clinic to anyone who would like to even talk to someone about options for their health when you have tried all other options with no results.

I have been a patient at CDA for quite a number of years. MC has changed my life for the better, being able to move without constant pain. Dr Jansen, all the doctors, nurses, dispensary staff and everyone at CDA have been giving me nothing but insightful and informative information about MC, how to properly administer, terpene profiles and titration. Going back to plant medicine is the next step forward in progressive medicine I believe and CDA are helping pave the way.

Pretty poor experience over the 12 months or so i've used them. Lately Dr Mcwann not helpful at all - refuses to prescribe TGA approved medication due to her own personal biases, really poor form. Take your business to ANY of the other clinics, you will have a better quality of care.

I have been a loyal patient for over 5 years and if I could give half a star I would, I’ve had enough. This company does not care about patients and just wants to push through as many people as humanly possible. They wont prescription (or even try with TGA) concentrates for patients in serious medical need for them. They refuse to even send me a receipt of my transaction from over a week ago, now I am unable to claim back the price of the doctors appointment. There are so many different places you can access medical cannabis, go anywhere but here.

I have to find another clinic, as they do not answer their emails as I've kept copys for proof. Plenty other issues with telephone very stressful. No wonder many citizens say Street market more reliable, personally I wouldn't know about that. i'll have to go back to heavy painkillers as sometimes it takes 2 months for stocks to be available at chemists.

CDA Clinics have always treated me with respect and have literally saved my life, going from a 2x spirit bottle a night habit to medicating at low levels of Medicinal Cannabis. And it's refreshing to finally have a Doc actually take the time to listen, in moderation of course, and who uses that to help best treat you, he also tirelessly advocated to DVA on my behalf, to push for medical approvals. Through Medicinal Cannabis, we have been able to decrease a lot of opiods, and benzos - some all the way down to ⅓ and even ½ of what I used to need. Leading me to being able to live a healthier lifestyle and increasing quality of life. With the use Medicinal Cannabis, I was also able to drop a 2*bottle of spirits a night habit overnight, most definitely have saving my life and organs. Can not recommend CDA Clinics enough!! The staff are amazing, easy to communicate with all of them including th dr. They make syre you understand everything. As for the product, amazing results for myself, off 90% of medication (pills), been on every pain pill will no real pain relief but lots of side effects, got through neck fusion and disc replacement surgery with no opiods just my medcan products and was home next day I feel amazing, people notice the change in me. If you have tried everything dont give up, contact these guys. Even if you haven't tried everything try something that will work, no harsh side effects. Thanks again to the amazing team

A big thank you for giving me back my life because now I am able to do things for myself without the pain. There is no more coughing ,as I have been able to give up smoking and I have oxygen back in my system. I have been able to replace almost all the pain killers I was prescribed with the cannabis oil. I eat better, sleep better and I am happy within myself. The service through CDA is prompt and communication is good. So many elderly people are frightened of using cannabis oil but I am 67 and it has worked very well for me.

The staff here are nothing short of AMAZING! I have dealt with the same nurse every time and she is a God send, she is able to explain things easily enough for me to understand and makes sure I leave the session knowing everything that was talked about. I feel like I am treated like a real human and the doctors are great as well. A+ I would recommend my own family members here if they needed medical cannabis help.

My quality of life has improved dramatically. Everyone at CDA is very helpful and should know they are at the forefront of something very important. Thank you. The only thing that needs to improve has nothing to do with CDA, but our government. We need to be able to visit a store, either online or in person, and choose what we need, like medicinal users can in other countries.

I have been in immobilising pain for around 3 years following failed knee replacement surgery. The pain has been so bad I have had many nasty falls and had to make a heartbreaking decision to sell my beautiful unit and move in with my daughter and grandchildren to be cared for . I am only 59 years old, always walked, worked as a chef, played golf etc etc. I have been on the strongest doses of opioids and medications for depression and anxiety now for 3 years. I was referred to CDA roughly 2 months ago and for the first time in years I have had such relief from both inflammation pain and anxiety. I am now starting the process of decreasing the opioids with the assistance of the brilliant staff at CDA. I have never met such kind , understanding and caring people . My family and friends are amazed at the difference in me. I cannot rave enough. Please, if you are struggling with pain and feel like there is no hope, contact CDA for a consultation it is worth a try!!! All the dreadful prescription medication I am on, was just masking the problems. Hopefully I will be off all of it in the next 6 months. Thankyou so much Belinda Watson

Contrary to what is reported in the media I found the process of applying for medication through CDA a straightforward process with approval granted within 2 weeks. In addition Dr Busby is a caring compassionate practitioner who doesn't just prescribe but works with you to achieve the best outcomes. The treatments they provide actually work and CDA doctors have significantly improved my quality of life. I have no hesitations whatsoever in recommending CDA Australia.

I have suffered with anxiety for almost 60 years. The doctors & nurses are empathetic, compassionate & extremely knowledgeable. This medication has undoubtedly improved the quality of my life. I wish it had been available (legally) 40 years ago.

I'm Autistic so I don't always understand conversations the first time around - wow, these people at Cannabis Doctors Australia have always been friendly, patient, available and generally made our interactions a welcoming and comprehensive experience. Excellent service; Dr Jansen has helped me titrate down off heavy meds and now the CBD and THC work in combination with low dose traditional meds. Positive side effects have been: started a business; cured rosacea; lost weight; got cholersterol down; not drinking alcohol and easier to chip away at complex ptsd. Also, Doni the nurse is very knowledgable too, i.e. she can recognise elevation/anxiety.

Wonderful product, peace of mind, finally!

I was pleasantly surprised with the result of the MC oil, although it took a few days for me to adjust to the dosage levels, but once that was concluded, I was able to experience the full extent of the medicine's effects, the only issue I had was they run out of the flowers which would have been much better, however I was substituted the vaporized variety which was satisfactory

CDA have been one of the most pleasant organisations I have engaged with for Pain Management and Mental Health relief. The staff are incredibly friendly, patient and helpful with up to date clinical knowledge. All I have dealt with within the organisation have been empathetic and very supportive in helping me achieve my desired healthcare outcomes. Had a small issue with repeats on my prescription and Simone on the phone was excellent. She was knowledgeable and was very courteous and endeavoured to get the issue sorted. She called back and had the entire issue resolved and got my prescription sorted, phenomenal service. Highly recommended
