bought fish yesterday. informed that it is my first time having fish and asked questions about what i need to be careful with. there was nothing he's mentioned. no information provided at all. now fish is dead because I have put the fish straight into the tank rather than put it in as plastic bag. I should have done more research, but if someone says that they've never had fish before, please provide basic information. searched and read the review before attending but very disappointed.

Please be aware this shop doesn’t have reasonable return policy. I highly recommend to avoid purchasing expensive items at this shop. There was an extremely rude staff, he yelled at us in front of other customer, threw the item at the counter. I was speechless with such a horrible behaviour.

Used to be good, the new owner is arrogant and rude. We saw him abuse a customer in front of us and so we walked out. In these times where the consumer dollar is drying up you would think you would actually care about your customers. Best avoid this place if you want to be treated with dignity

Nice aquarium store with lots of tropical and gold fish all at very good prices. AA has a great variety of hard scaping supplies and plants. Shelves are well stocked with popular brands. Will certainly be back. Just wish it was easier to get served.

A great selection of fish, plants and accessories. The fish look very healthy and the store although small, is well laid out and and the aquariums are well maintained, clean and easy to view. There is quite a variety of accesssories from plastic plants, to lights, filters and lighting to suit any aquarium and the fish needs. The customer service is very weird and it seems like they just want to serve you and get you out the door. We ordered thre elots of fish and each time the employee went back to the front desk to ring it up, we had to keep grabbing him and aksing him to get more fish. Trying to get any advice from them is worse than pulling teeth cos they dont seem to give two hoots about the customer. Although, to be fair, we did visit on 45 minutes before closing time, so maybe they were just keen to get home for the day. Which is a pity as they have such a great collection of fish and accessories. I dont want to return but hteir selectiopn means Im compelled to return until such time i find a better aquarium supplier. 10/10 for products 10/10 for fish and plants 5/10 service

Undoubtedly one of the worst customer service experience's I've had in any store, aquarium related or not. Staff will not greet you as you walk in or even attempt to help you until you've been there for 15+ minutes and end up having to call out to them in which case they will sluggishly walk over with sunken shoulders and an unenthusiastic approach. Unless of course you want to buy one of their "rare" and incredibly overpriced fish then you will matter. Staff are inexperienced and will give you falsified information on fish and products just to get the sale out of you, and beware of buying here, the refund policy is basically non existent. You might get $5 store credit for a $50 sick fish they sold you that died. There are a million better fish stores in the gold coast area. Rude non customer friendly staff and overpriced, spend your hard earned money at any other fish store and you'll be better off.

Great little aquarium store. Have a heap of different species, definitely more than most other aquariums on the Gold Coast. Service is good and prices reasonable.

As a previous owner of this business, I've never seen it in better hands. Staff are always polite and courteous, tanks are spotless and fish are all healthy. Still the best shop on the Gold Coast!

Best aquarium shop ever! Don't go anywhere else. Staff are lovely and helpful. Fish are really healthy and are looked after well. Have purchased a good 50-100 fish and plants from aquariums alive and never been disappointed. They also have a lot of rarer fish that you would not find in a general pet store.

Very bad owners leave two giant dogs Sheperd I told owner I’m scare of two dogs they have two dogs blocking me and I can’t access the shop. Owner has no respect of my fear Two large dogs blocking me front door. I feel very unwelcoming I wouldn’t ever coming back to the shop very disrespectful owners If I could give this shop 0 stars I would. Worst shopping experience I have ever had. The extra aqua one 103f is a great filter to have as I love watching them surf the flow. Definitely happier especially the added ricks to create hide homes. Love the puppy welcome at the door and these guys do know their fish. Thanks guys.

It pains me to visit. If its particular needs for your aquarium then yes this is the place. They have been helpful and answered all questions. Can be very popular and busy at times but they have the staff to help. Just I wouldnt recommend buying fish from here.

Good old school no thrills aquarium store. Big selection of high quality foods. Seems like they are always doing water changes when I'm there. (Not a bad thing) the fish and tanks look great. Can't recall seeing any marine... And lots of cichlids.

Staff were friendly enough but tips and advice were poor, been to a couple other stores only to find out most things I had been told and the tank I was sold wasn’t/weren’t right resulting in dead fish, waste of money and time

The only reason I go here is because my husband is at work and needs a specific item every week. The staff act like they're doing you a favour, no hello, no thank you, getting them to look at you for what youre after is like pulling teeth. Have not seen a worse customer service on the Gold Coast

A fish shop with 3 large alsatians who love a pat!! It's small shop that was packed on a Saturday morning when I visited. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and made their way around to all customers, with no pressure to buy.

Be careful of their return policy for fish. I returned a fish the day after Only to be told for a $25 fish I would be given store credit of $5. Not a bad profit margin when they sell the fish again ($45 for a 5cm fish). I won’t be going back.

My favourite aquarium shop, they have many types of driftwood and rocks at fair prices, they also have a extensive range of substrates, much better then PetBarn and the like. Website lacks detail, must visit in person. Staff have a wide range of knowledge and are happy to share with customers.

Always helpful and friendly staff, lots of fish varieties, and plenty of accessories and tank bits and pieces. Shop is clean, while there is alot packed into a small store it's not dirty and stuff is easy to find. They do a great job of making it look presentable, neat and not cluttered and overwhelming!
