Worst hostel ever!!!! Dirty afffff!!! There are only a few toilets and they are messy all the time. the flowing of water in the plughole is always too slow because hairs are stuck. The floor is always wet because they don’t have an exhaust fan. The shower baskets are rusted and the shower curtain is molded. Besides, we saw different sizes of cockroaches in our room every day. Never live here!!

I didn't hate this place I actually wanted to stay here but I never fully stayed in there I wished I did. Looked really cool and looked like there were really nice people

The hostel has a nice atmosphere, the people are kind and when I arrived they managed to anticipate my check-in, to which I am very grateful, as I had a lot of luggage and was very tired. The space is well equipped, with everything working, which facilitates our adaptation.

Friendly staff and good location but everything else is BAD. Room was very dirty it doesn't have individual lights in the beds. Pillow is thin as a paper, doors won't close properly... Bathroom is desgusting, hairs everywhere and also in the shower. Looks like they didn't clean in weeks. Rented 6 beds room with private bathroom but turned out that it has another room inside for maybe 4 people so you share bathroom between 10 people. Everything is a lie. They have this sign that says if you leave a good review they give laundry for free. That's the reason why it has so many good reviews when the reality is that the place is run down.

A very dirty and run down hostel. The place is nearly falling apart, hairs all over the bathroom, smelly rooms. The reviews here are definitely all fake as they get free laundry for leaving a positive review on the website (there's a sign on the laundry machines saying if you leave a good review it's free). Do yourself a favour and find another hostel, it's very very dirty here!

The hostel was very clean and comfortable. Just 5/10 minutes walking away from the center of surfers paradise. Breakfast was rich and very good up already as early as 6am waiting for me in the kitchen! The wifi was also working great. The staff was friendly and welcoming at checki in or when needed.

Hostel is clean and the staff is kind and helpful. Bed that I slept on was comfy and had the charging station next to it which was very convenient. Room was not very spacious, but had its own bathroom which was great. Breakfast was included and had all kinds of spread and cereal even alternative milks which is very thoughtful.

Very poor hospitality skills of the reservations team and don't know how to communicate with guest. And also giving lame excuses like as other guests are staying with us for long time and you are staying for short period so you have to change your rooms.

Stayed there two nights in a private room. It was okay. Staffs are friendly, feel free to speak to them if you need help or travel tips! Maybe consider installing a mirror in the room and provide napkins/kitchen paper towel in the kitchen for extra comfort and decency.

I was satisfied as the price was cheap. The free breakfast was so good and most of the staff were kind. The room is a little dirty, and it's a little disadvantage to share the bathroom with many people, but it's understandable considering the price.

Probably the worst hostel experience in Australia. The American guy at reception was rude and smelled like he robbed a liquor store (before midday everyday). If he was sitting on the side of the street, you probably would not be able to tell the difference between him and a homeless drunk. The hostel beds are great, they have curtains around them but the hostel needs a mumma or two to do some proper cleaning. The mold is quite gross and there was bugs and spiders everywhere. Saw this massive cockroach and little babys. If the place got some decent staff and cleaners it would be good place to stay.

I really loved my time at mummas. Actually I stayed way longer than I had anticipated. Was super easy to fit in and find your feet. Had some great times and made new friends but was also able to chill privately and even managed to keep up my studies. Amena is such a great manager, you can get anything you need done and she’ll do her best to help you even if you have a tricky request. I’ve been all over the world and this is definitely the best hostel I’ve stayed at Thanks for the memories guys xxxx Eoin

Great little find in surfers paradise. Cheap, free brekky, curtains on beds in the dorms! Only downside for me was that there doesn't feel like there are enough bathrooms for the size of the dorms.

Favourite Hostel in town by far. Been staying here long term after realising how much of a welcoming community vibe it has. Plus the staff here are excellent and always here when you need them. Highly recommend.

I wish I would give this a 0, but that’s not possible so I give it a 1. Truly the WORST hostel experience I have ever lived! I booked this accomodation after reading lots of the positive reviews, seeing the promising photos, and being happy with the described amenities. I am no stranger to staying in hostels and have stayed in many different all over the world - but this was the worst. We arrived and were greeted with an empty reception, and after waiting for 30 minutes, ringing the bell, and looking around for someone we finally found a number and called - finding that the staff were upstairs partying completely oblivious to guests downstairs. We were then told to pay (before being able to actually view the room/ bed) and was then led down to our room. The place was absolutely filthy, rubbish everywhere, NO Covid-Safe measures (even with state mandates in place) and no actual introduction to the hostel apart from being shown the room. When we were shown our beds the room was so small we could not even fit any of our bags/ belongings inside, door was being held open with a shoe (very secure…), and the reception staff told us she had actually slept in one of our beds last night and had to grab her dirty undies from our bed. Absolutely disgusting to expect paying guests to sleep in a bed that someone had clearly slept in and made no attempts to even cover. After grabbing her belongings the staff member then just left to rejoin her party. My sister and I were completely at a loss that we had just paid to stay in this. We then tried again to locate the reception staff to discuss getting a partial refund as this was appalling and we could not stay here - she did not listen and instead pointed to a sign under a heap of clutter saying they don’t do refunds. Absolutely no consideration for the fact that this was not as described on booking.com (I was told I can park my car on the street and ‘hopefully it won’t get towed’), then when I asked to speak to someone else she said no. If you are considering staying here - DO NOT!! They take your money and do not care about the health, safety, or wellbeing of paying guests, absolutely appalling and I will be reporting your no refund policy to the ACCC as it violates consumer rights in offering a refund for products/ services that do not fit purpose and/ or provide results described in the service offering. Shame on you!

Easily the best hostel in Gold Coast! The people and staff are amazing and what kept me here. Only planning on staying one night originally and ended up here for over 3 months. Highly recommend as its close to the beach, shops, nightlife, the staff are super kind and friendly (especially love the Canadian receptionist - he is a great challenger at chess too if you’re interested), the hostel is cleaned very well everyday, fun hotel pool party’s and free food nights/ events and everyone is always happy to go above and beyond to help like a charming little hostel family… love love love this place and I am sad to say goodbye. Thank you all for my amazing stay and hope to see you all again one day 🙏 ♥️🤞 Big R

One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in Australia so far! Very clean and easy going hostel, really easy to meet new people and you still have a great night sleep! Free breakfast in the morning and the staff are so helpful. 10/10 place to stay and close to everything you need.
