Went to do one of the sessions with my boyfriend on his birthday. The hosts there were amazing & went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience. Will definitely return again & recommend to anyone thinking about going!

I took my video game obsessed brother down to FREAK a few weeks ago & we both ended up having an absolute blast. The man running the show, Jarrod, was an incredible host & truly made the experience all the more fun. I was a little bit scared to join my brother playing the VR, but once Jarrod ran me through everything, I felt totally at ease and we had such a fun time. I’d absolutely recommend this place for a great day out. Thanks again Jarrod :)

We aren’t from the Gold Coast but visited freak when it was at its old location, Isaac made the whole experience so amazing it was so fun! We came back to surfers and the first thing we wanted to do was go back to freak as the experience we had last time was 10/10 they now have an updated venue which is amazing! We had the pleasure of dealing with Isaac again and once again beat our expectations of a good time. It was amazing and he recommended games for us which would be suitable and he was definitely right. Awesome time 2 hours well spent! Thanks again for having great customer service we will always return to freak! Love it 1000/10

I'm not much of a gamer or sci-fi person so, I admit, I initially thought I may find VR boring (as it was a group booking I was a part of) but I was so wrong! Honestly had so much fun and definitely am going to go back to do again! Issac was fantastic and such a great host too. Don't knock it before you try it!

I highly recommend this place! One of the best family friendly entertainments on the Gold Coast and Isaac is just Fantastic! We had a blast with our 2 kids aged 11 and 14. Will definitely be back for more VR.

My boyfriend and I had the most incredible time at Freak, Surfers Paradise today. The VR and haptic feedback suits are incredible and really immersed in the story and radiated the stakes which increased our enjoyment. A special thank you to the attendant Issac for all your help on the day. He was incredibly knowledgeable and understanding, calmly walking us through everything and was the nicest, most friendly person we saw all day. This is truly a great experience and staff like Isacc make a fun day, an unforgettable experience!

My partner and I went here today , we absolutely loved this experience. The staff were super friendly and informative. The game itself was really fun. Would definitely do this again. 100% recommend 😁

We highly recommend FREAK, we had a go on lots of the games, Ghost Hunter (whatever that’s actually called), which was great for all of us including our just turned 7 year old, we did the Zombie one, that was pretty cool, but a bit more for one that won’t scare as easy, then we did laser tag, that was surprising good, I was especially surprised how well you could play in what looked to be such a small area, then the girls had a go at the dancing one, they enjoyed that too, and I finished off with some laps around Spa in the motion race sim. Total we spent about 3 hours there over 2 days. The customer service was top notch, Stephen & Isaac really looked after us, we’ll definitely be back if we get the opportunity.

Amazing experience! The Arizona game (zombie one) was very good fun, never tried VR before but would definitely go again, big thanks to Tom was very impressed with my time here!

I don’t normally write reviews but I had to with this one. I can’t believe this experience! It was a last minute decision while walking past the store. Money well spent. The man there had great customer service, very helpful and knowledgeable. (Also very very patient with my eager eight year old.) Recommend!

We took my son here for his birthday and it was 10000% worth the spend. The service is amazing, the guy that runs this place made sure that my son, his Uncle and Dad had the best time. He went over and above, I just wish I'd asked him his name so I could thank him publicly because the guy was just amazing to our family. They had a great time, played for an hour and my son has been asking every weekend to go back. A bit of a spend, but well worth it because they had such a great time and the service was so amazing.

What an amazing experience. Took our Qld grandkids out for some quality time hoping that they would enjoy and remember. Freak delivered big time. The only staff member couldn't have been more engaging and helpful. Initially we thought the zombie experience would be the way to go, however with guidance and grandson input we opted for the ghost experience. Our Grandsons loved it along with their grandfather. Great fun. Wonderful memories.

I took two 10yos in for a special bonding day and what a day it was. The person running it was kind, helpful and absolutely amazing with these two boys. They had so much fun and I would highly recommend this activity for young boys. His employer should be so proud to have him on their team.

Wasn’t sure VR would be for me, but after reading the reviews, was keen to try it out. Isaac was so friendly and explained everything so well… you even get to demo the VR before playing the whole experience. Had so much fun we came back to play again in the same day! Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for an activity on the Gold Coast!

Just want to say that no joke best experience ever! Originally meant to go bowling but seen these guys and IT WAS AWESOME!! Played the zombie VR and was absolutely screamly like a crazy lady but honeslty had the most amazing time. Our VR assistant was also awesome. He fully explained everything even when my little sister finds it a little hard to understand and made sure everyone was set up perfectly. So again just want to say thank you and if you were thinking of doing it, JUST DO IT!! 😁😌

We had the best night out at Freak VR! I highly recommend getting in touch with the friendly team who will go above and beyond to ensure a great experience! Truly one of the best VR experiences I’ve ever done. The impact vests that respond to getting hit in the game were fantastic. Isaac was incredibly helpful and we will definitely be back there for a VR escape room soon.

Highly Recommend cause of Isaac!!! My husband and I came to Freak VR while on our honey moon. The place is clean and spacious. Isaac helped us in recording the experience with photos and videos, and complimentary bottles of water when we wrapped up. My wife and I took our son and 2 friends for his 14th birthday. I was fortunate enough to join the boys and had a blast. Stepping into the game it was easy forget we where in a room on the Gold Coast. Fighting zombies while riding trains and elevators was great experience. Would highly recommend. Isac was amazing and a wonderful host.

I really liked the ghost patrol because you can do it with someone else and Steve the Game master is very funny and makes jokes all the time. I loved it after all I just wished it didn’t end :( definitely would recommend. from Jordana

At first when I looked at the small gaming area I was dubious, but I was wrong. Steve was awesome and geared my wife and I up with the haptic feedback vests, guns, other equipment and wow! The Arizona Sunshine Zombie games were awesome. We will definitely be back for other VR games in the near future with more friends. You don't even have to be a "gamer" to enjoy these VR experiences as my wife isn't into that kind of stuff at all and she had a blast (no pun intended). Very immersive and fun.

Just finished the Ghost Patrol with my 11yr old, wow that was so much fun! Great graphics and sound, and a very weird feeling know you are just walking round a 6m x 6m mat. Highly recommended.

We had a great time playing the Arizona Sunshine Zombie missions. Steven was a great gamemaster and made the experience much more enjoyable. Would definitely be coming back!

This was one of the best fun times we ever had.. even though we booked Monday Madness, Issac offered us a better deal as it was a quiet day. Was walking past and saw this place and hubby had always wanted to try VR. Got there Monday 2 for 1 deal with the kids. The host was very friendly and walked us through the setup. We had loads of fun and he even gave us some bonus time to try another game. Once completed we had complimentary jelly beans and bottled water! Hopefully they will come to Perth soon!

Wow, what an experience! I've never done VR before but definitely will be again! Back to back zombie apocalypse missions, and the puzzles kept it engaging as well so it wasn't just point an shoot. 10/10 recommend

What an unbelievably awesome and freaky experience! Exceeded my expectations! I so loved sharing it with my beautiful teen sons. A great family experience. The family who takes on zombies together laughs together. Wonderful support from Jack who was very professional and took us through a brilliant game. My youngest son is asking when he can complete the other missions, we'll be back!

We were there to play the game with VR glasses. It was fun and not overpriced. We had technical problems at the beginning and Steven did everything he could to fix them quickly. He goes out of his way and made our experience even better. Big compliments to this employee!
