I'm not sure what all the fuss is about waiting 3 hours. For me to see my local GP at Ormeau is a week. So I don't mind waiting. The staff try their best as they are under lots of pressure. I know the hospital system is failing us all but venting anger at staff isn't helping. I have been going to this clinic for some time and sure I have waited to see a doctor, but at least I walk out having seen one that day . NOT NEXT WEEK. 😊😊😊😊😊

If I could give zero stars I would. I arrived at opening time on a Saturday morning. Waited in line to see reception for 15 minutes only to get to the front to be told to download the app to book. You’re forced to sign up to their loyalty program to see a doctor. There was one doctor working and 20 patients in front. Go elsewhere if you want to be seen within three hours.

Just a quick edit after reading other reviews..... i don't think some people understand what a walk in clinics purpose is. If you want a faster wait time for somthing that isn't urgently needing a Dr that you could easily book with your local gp, don't go to a walk in clinic. I don't know why this place hasn't got a better rating! I had to come in today because I couldn't get any appointment sooner at my local, it was exactly what I'd expect with a walk in clinic and no appointment required. Bit of lengthy wait with the kiddies but we were patient, chemist had some drinks and lollies which came in handy, it had toilets certainly needed and Dr Bruce was lovely and very knowledgeable. I'm very grateful for this place when i really needed it today and so close to where I live as well.

I drove from the other end of the Gold Coast and waited outside for an hour before they opened to get the first appointment. I was told once I got to reception that I needed to download their app or I couldn’t see a doctor. No real mention of this on their website other than right down the bottom saying that they have an app. I was forced to sign up to their loyalty program when I made an account on the app. By the time I signed up there were over 50 people there and was at the end of the queue with 1 doc working. Don’t even waste your time

You don't just walk in. First you have to download an app and register. All of your details are already on Medicare, so it's a purely punitive exercise making you jump through these hoops. Anyhow... So much for urgent They actually do have paper registration forms, but the reception staff give you a very hard time if you need to use those. Don't bother trying to phone, they never answer, in fact they often don't turn off the after hours message. There are two receptionists, unfortunately the fatter one was too busy finishing her breakfast to process clients, so the line went out the door. The fatter one thinks she's god by the way, she'll threaten you with removal if you question any procedures. Then you wait, and you wait, wait a bit longer and eventually you get to wait some more. They told us there were 6 doctors but it took hours to get through 6 patients, so I suspect that was fiction. This one surgery services the whole Gold Coast, be prepared to wait. Sometime later in the day you might get to see a doctor. You get cookie cutter care, not personalised at all. Most of the medical staff are about 8 years old. If you have anything serious or difficult to treat you'll be sent elsewhere, or back to your GP, anyway. This place is worse than useless. There's no care and no urgency. It's better than nothing. Just.

Absolutely disgraceful practice that does not care about their patients needs or care whatsoever. After waiting 3-4 hours I was seen by Dr Hua Gao who completely dismissed my concerns and told me to see my regular GP instead. I requested a second opinion from another doctor. Instead of helping me like they promised they instead called the police who didn't appreciate their time being wasted either. This place should be shut down.

The receptionist old lady with a blonde bob & an attitude is absolutely horrible. I needed urgent care and she made things difficult for me on purpose because the log in app wasn't working. She made me sit there in agony, in tears and refused to let me see anyone, we then went to the male receptionist who was lovely and arranged for me to see someone straight away. That lady should not be in this industry, she is a horrible person and she had an extreme attitude the whole time for no reason at all. I was in clear agony and expressed to her that i needed urgent care asap i could not even stand up straight from the pain, she just rolls her eyes & does nothing at all. She should be fired asap, i am digusted by her poor service.

I have attended this medical centre since 1993, at 3 addresses and through 3 name changes. Up until the last name change and change in ownership I would have rated it 5 star and recommended it to anyone. Sadly this is no longer the case. Although they still bulk bill, customer service is now basically non-existant. There are only 2 doctors who you can book an appointment with (and I believe 1 of these doesn't bulk bill). For others you just turn up and wait your turn with either the next available doctor or the doctor of your choice. This usually results in long wait times e.g. my sister attended recently and was told that there were 50+ people waiting and only 4 doctors on duty. While she waited, the wait time blew out to 3+ hrs with many people informing reception that they couldn't wait any longer as had to go to work, pick up kids, etc. While the practice is open 7 days a week until 10.00pm the phones are not answered after 5.00pm weekdays and not at all on weekends. Their preferred method of contact is through their app where doctors' rosters can be seen, you check yourself in once you arrive at the centre, etc. Even when the phone is answered it is usually after a 20+ wait. The no appointment policy not only often facilitates long waits in close contact with ill patients but makes scoring a parking space a cause for celebration. I find it very sad that a previously excellent medical practice has deteriorated this badly.

Absolutely the worst GP practice on the Gold Coast! Ever since changing into Our Medical Home from the GP Super Clinic, the practice has gone down the drain and the service is woeful. After 2.5hrs of waiting to be told that it could be at least another hour wait and that there is nothing they can do, also that they do not do phone consultations unless you have COVID, NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! To make it worse, my doctor spent more time walking the halls than seeing any patients.... Do not waste your time with this practice, a public hospital would have better service and wait times

Maybe they should change this place to bookings for appointments, judging by all these negative reviews whatever they're doing isn't working, Ive waited more than 3 hours everytime I go. You really have to clear your day up if you do go here. The doctor I see has a thing for females so if you're not female he will rush you through your appointment and not listen to a thing you say where as he will take his time with his female clients and is very caring and understanding. The reception staff seem like they probably got fired from every other reception job and this place is the only one who would take them. They seem to hate their job and anything and anyone associated with it.

If I could give a zero I would. The sign in process is a joke. The grouchy rude women behind the counter also a joke. Not even greeted with a smile. I haven’t attend any appointment waited for 3 hours and I cancelled the appointment they still deducted the $90. Rubbish service ever I have. Really rude staff. I just waste 5 hours for nothing.

Great service, friendly staff and good doctors. You do have to wait but that’s the point of a walk in and I love we have that option. Our doctors were all off sick and couldn’t get an appointment for a week for my baby so this is a fantastic service. I didn’t have to take use hospital time.

I've experienced alot here to give 1 star, but thought working within the medical industry myself I gave them the better end of the stick. But rude staff is something i wont tolerate, to have such rude receptionist who can't greet you, cut you off, roll eyes and don't even look at you? I couldn't believe how rude Kacey was. Hire better staff.

The model of care is brilliant. You can walk in with no pre appointments. They even have a treatment room. True definition of a superclinic. Of course many patients use this convenience and of course there will be an expected wait time. They have allied health and psychology.

Took my son here. First time attending an after hours medical centre. No receptionist was present when we arrived which was surprising and something new for us, followed instructions and downloaded the our medical app, created a new patient file for my son and we were pretty much seen within 10 min. So easy!! Was such a good experience! Apparently normal wait time is about 3 hrs but we must have gone at a really good time because we didn’t wait long at all! Dr and Nurse were really good. So grateful we didn’t have to go Hospital!!

I'm rating it so low because you have to download an app onto your phone to get medical treatment and wouldn't see me otherwise, The app then forces you to sign up to a rewards program before you can make an appointment. Today I received an email from them about offering some deal to upgrade to the next tier of the rewards program. Seems a bit shady to me

I came here to see the doctor , I wait for more than one hour, young lady at the counter was very rude and unprofessional, she threatened me to take me out of the queue just because I asked her ‘how long I have to wait for’ earlier lady in the counter told me I was the third one on the queue before she finished her duty. Especially come to see doctor and long wait, you don’t deserve to talk like this when you’re sick. I really hope someone review this, this is unprofessional and very rude… I will Never come back again to this clinic

Well what can I say, my daughter went up there to get a capabilities checklist done one evening for an injury sustained at work, after waiting over 2 hours was told the time bracket wasn't enough to do it and come back tomorrow. Frustrating as it was we did what was asked of us. Went back the following day waited another 3hrs, when we enquiried how much longer we need to wait they informed us that they didn't put us on the list to been seen. Not impressed at all. No apology, no intention to fix the problem. So we left and went elsewhere. Poor service, if this the future of public health care we are in trouble! Couldn't believe the lack of conscience this medical centre have.

10am on a Saturday with 47 patients and only 2 drs. Now branded as an emergency clinic but no staff?! You HAVE to use a phone to checkin, and while the staff are not to blame you are rejected if you don't use your phone to check in except for the fact the phone app is atrocious and heavily bugged. Honestly the majority of Drs don't care, you walk in, tell them what script you want and then they give it to you....there is really no patient care or concern.

First of all, People complaining about downloading app to streamline the process? Get a life! We live in the world of tech now, the app only speeds up the process. Turned up Sunday morning with a friend he was injured and could not stand, the receptionist came straight around with wheel chair then took us over to an area and filled out his details 5/5 Both the nurse and doctor who assisted us were simply amazing. The nurse Blue (was her name) Could not do enough to assist passionate and care in her job. She was simply amazing if i could rate higher than 5 stars i would

Reception staff were great! The doctor we had was awful!! Took our 2 year old who has been really unwell only to walk out still uncertain of what was wrong. We all sat there in silence, he handed us a script and the proceeded to open the door for us to leave. 5 words were spoken to us the whole appointment. I'm actually disgusted!!! It's a shame as previous visits I have had great doctors.

The wait times at this service is just unacceptable. I used to rave to everyone about the Super Clinic, never waited more than 20 minutes to see a doctor. Now that it is Our Medical it seems to be a 2 hour minimum wait. To not even have a rough estimate of a wait time when you've had to drag your sick child there is ridiculous. Why is this clinic being run on the bare minimum of doctors?!

Great practice with caring Drs, staff and treatment. We've been attending for over 5 yrs. We have a regular Dr Mac who spends time explaining everything. If he's not rostered on Dr Gold, and Dr Miller are also excellent. Excellent and recommend Clinic . Overall with X-ray, Physiotherapy, Pathology, Podiatry, Care Plan Nurse, Pharmacy etc all in one place, the clinic has everything. Bulk billed and no appointment for Dr. Open 7 days including all public holidays.

Really put off by sign in process. You have to download an app to sign in to see a doctor. No service at front counter. No app no doctor. I was having trouble on phone, asked if I could sign in on their iPad. No you have a phone you must use it. Meanwhile I have a broken toe that needs strapping. Will only ever come back if it’s an emergency and no other options. Not the only one in the waiting room that’s unhappy.

This doctors is a joke. My partner went there today for serious advice and help and without further information, the doctor failed to seek him support and advice. He shrugged it off as “this is a very common problem and continued to imply that he hopes my partner doesn’t think he’s trying to cut the appointment short by his responses.” Please do not come here if you are seeking and needing PROFESSIONAL advice. Would not recommend at all.

Overnight on a Saturday my son was seen by a home doctor who ordered pathology but didn't leave us with any sample pots, called our medical oxenford on the sunday and they happily gave me a urine and stool sample pot and told me that once I got the collections from my son just to bring them back to the clinic asap and they will make sure they get sent to pathology with the first courier on Monday morning. The reception staff were honestly so helpful and kind which I've found is rare in GP clinics so I really appreciate it. Reading some of the reviews I truly think people don't understand the purpose of a walk in clinic and how helpful it is to be able to get medical help outside of regular hours without having to go to the emergency department. I hope more clinics like this one become available in the future to take the pressure off of the main hospitals, especially outside of business hours when of course all kids decide to get sick! Really appreciate your help, thank you so much.

The people at the medical centre, particularly the reception staff, are always nice and friendly. It is really a shame that Medical Centre cannot answer calls in a time manner i.e. 39 minutes yesterday and 1 hour 9 minutes today... and the phone call was ended by someone. All I wanted to find out was what time was my appointment... For the record I do not see this a short coming of the reception people but rather company policy and / or overworked staff. Not acceptable as a health service provider!!

I took my elderly neighbour down there. Once they saw how ill she was they immediately got a nurse to take her vital signs, and that nurse called in a doctor straight away. After careful tests, they asked me to take her to Robina Emergency immediately. They were kind, careful, and prompt.

After reading the bad reviews I was expecting a bad visit. But I was patient and the wait wasn’t as long as I thought it would be, even though it was busy. The staff are super friendly and so are the doctors. I felt welcomed because maybe I had a good attitude and stayed patient.

Particular doctors are fantastic in this GP, but the wait is horrendous 98% of the time. The longest wait yet was 3.5 hours, that is ridiculous and totally unfair when only waiting for a repeat prescription. Should be an easier process than this, or at least allow telehealth calls again so we can go about our business if we don't need to be seen physically by a doctor.

Well another trip to this doctor surgery and another THREE hour visit. It’s honestly ridiculous that it’s now the normal wait time for us now. Came in for my baby’s 6 week immunisations. I got there 15 minutes before the doors opened and there was already a line around the corner of the outside building. 2 hours of waiting just to see the doctor for 20 seconds to print out the nurses order for immunisations. Nurse was amazing. Can’t fault her. But seriously please start using HOTDOC for appointment booking, or roster on more doctors. I’m sure the receptionists would appreciate this also, to lessen the angry waiting patients.

Thank you to Dr Afshin Farajollahi for providing such quality care when I was very ill. Despite having the hard job of being the only doctor on a very busy night, I didn’t feel rushed in the appointment. He took the time to listen and be thorough. Thankfully I am on the mend now and will be requesting him as my dr in future.

Force you to download their app, won't let you see a doctor otherwise. Have previously been turned away and sent to the Ashmore centre because they had room, only to be told by Ashmore that they were also not taking anyone. This place used to be really good, now it's garbage. I'd rather put up with whatever ailment I have at the time and wait to see my gp, who doesn't bulk bill, than go here for free.

I waited 3 hours to be seen. When I was called, I said I had 2 concerns and needed treatment for both and Dr Renuka Bodhinayaka rejected my concerns and told me she didn’t have time to treat both concerns and to come back another time… I told her that’s wrong I’ve been waiting 3 hours to be seen and her reply was “so had everyone else”. I got a total of 5 minutes max with the doctor. Absolutely disgusting, DO NOT waste your time with this clinic.

Would not recommend using this centre for psychological services. My friend has come away feeling worse - along with no follow up or booking ahead for next appointment. Mental health services are already scary and expensive for most people - and the session she had with Alan hasn’t helped with that mentality. Find somewhere else if you are able to.

Partner just wasted $150 seeing a psychologist dressed in a bcf shirt and stinking of cigarettes. So unprofessional. Didn’t have any of the documentation ready for the appointment. The Doctors are all lovely and good at what they do. They actually listen to you and want to help as best they can. The only let down is the reception, the staff are unfriendly, rude and seem burnt out. I can understand that they are very busy, but seem quite nasty.

Walk in clinic, download their app. Great Dr's on site, who really take their time to treat you, X-Ray, CT, pathology & chemist on site which is great. I have waited hear less time for a Dr than I used to at my previous Dr when I had an appointment. Glad I have found this clinic.

People complaining about the app? Cmon seriously! well it’s made it easier to see a dr and quick! Yes you have to join the loyalty program but it’s free unless you want to go premium. Had an appointment with Andrew the physiotherapist and was treated with respect was spoken to like a friend Andrew asked questions to gain a better understanding of me and my issue and was polite and offered suggestions on how to get myself back to full health as well as exercises and other treatments I can try and made my next appointment while I was sitting there. Been coming to the clinic at Oxenford for years and not once have I felt like just a number. The new checkin app has made it so much easier and faster to be seen and it keeps you updated on how many before you and lets you know when you are next in line. So thank you Andrew for your time and pleasant nature.

Been coming here for years. The ladies at the front desk are extremely rude and treat you like another number. Each time I come they say use the app, even though there is NOONE else in line. This has been on multiple visits, different times & different ladies. Some new management and customer service adjustments is definitely needed!! I only return here for my family GP. It’s extremely unpleasant otherwise.

Surely the GPs we usually see are excellent at both Oxenford and Ashmore. However, the receptions do not answer phones all the time which makes me crazy! There was one time I took my kid to see a doctor around 6pm at Oxenford. The reception said they were too busy to see more patients, because they only had two doctors but 10 patients waiting there. I understood. Then they called the centre at Ashmore, and told me I can drive my kid there. When I arrived Ashmore, the reception told me only one doctor at Ashmore and 15 more patients waiting when she got the phone call. I can't understand why she still asked me to drive further to another clinic with more patients waiting, less doctors on shore and seeing my daughter suffering from allegoric.

  • 1/5 Lakshmi T. 8 months ago on Google
Had such a terrible experience. After waiting for more than 45 mins had to go home without seeing the doctor. If the receptionist would have told us during check in that we have to wait for more than 2 hrs, we wouldn't have wasted our time here. Would have sorted something else. Rude behaviour from the receptionist.

  • 1/5 Mark G. 8 months ago on Google
Not even a patient. I tried calling this surgery just to get their email so I could send some info THEY requested for one of my clients. 3 separate calls and over 1 hour on hold. Disgraceful behavior for a community service. Employ more people if you cannot run your company properly. You should be billed for making people wait

  • 1/5 John D. 8 months ago on Google
Receptionist is rude, snarky and argumentative. The over persistence of “downloading the app and booking a consultation,” despite being right infront of the front desk lady has to be the single most inefficient way to handle bookings. (Whats the receptionist doing there if its not to make bookings?).

First time coming to Our Medical Oxenford & won’t be back. Arrived at 8:35am on a Saturday & have been waiting over 3hrs for the first available doctor & still have not been seen by a doctor. Have seen multiple people come in after myself & have not waited even half as long & have seen a doctor before myself. Absolutely ridiculous & needs a change in there system, as the walk in system currently does not work.

Love the doctors. The ladies at reception work hard but I have had a gastric sleeve and I need to see my doctor to be cleared to start my work placement it's been 2 weeks I have called to make sure I can get it and was told there's only 2 doctors and tonight again it's only my doctor on . That isn't fair on them or us no wonder people are suffering in silence. The system isn't working should be changed to appointments. Now telehalth isn't even available.

If the receptionist on the front desk is representing the practice she needs to be replaced. Her attitude was disgusting today. I was speaking to her and she gave me no eye contact and turned to a colleague half way through what I was saying to have a private conversation. She was rude and certainly shouldn’t be around vulnerable patients who need empathy. Could have been a bad day but there was no excuse for the service I received.

  • 5/5 Kirsty R. 1 year ago on Google
We've generally had positive experiences here. The doctors and nurses have been understanding of my autistic son's needs and anxiety when we've been. In times where it's even more urgent, they've gotten us in fairly quickly. They saved us when there was a nationwide shortage of my son's medication. The reception staff are so busy, but they do their job and their best. Lots of negative reviews here.... seems people don't understand how a walk in medical centre works! If it's an emergency, go to the hospital. If you know you need to see a doctor for something in the future, go book in with another GP. It's not the medical centre's fault if you can't get in because you didn't plan your future appointments or prescription refills. The staff are dealing with some rude, demanding and stressed patients. Don't add to this by being unnecessarily mean and having ridiculous expectations of what is clearly a walk in service.

Been a loyal customer for many many years. These guys were good, but over the years and change of name, service has gone. Unacceptable wait times. It's clearly all about pulling money from Medicare now. Staff care factor at the door is zero. Use the mobile app to add yourself to the queue to see a doctor, then wait 3-4 hours if you are lucky to get in that soon. My advice. Go elsewhere. Especially if you have a sick child. It's not feasible to expect a child to wait that long. Not that they care. You are just a number.

Waited over 3 hours the first day for a 10 minute appointment. Received a script and a pathology request. Pathology was closed by the time I had come out and the lady at reception said to come back tomorrow. Came back at 7:30 the next morning, showed my pathology request to a different lady at reception and she said to take a number and wait in line. I waited for about 25 minutes and my number was called. The pathologist asked to see my request and said “we don’t do that here, you’ll have to go somewhere else”. Walked over to reception again and talked to another lady and told her what happened, told me to go across the road. You would think that the first lady would’ve told me that at the beginning. Complete waste of time and apathetic staff.
