Best Thai restaurant in Paramaribo, I return every time when I visit the city. Food and service are excellent, at very reasonable prices. Nice indoor/outdoor atmosphere setting.

6 stars if I could. Food is out of this world, as you can (but not yet taste) from my pictures. Service is outstanding. Environment is surreal. I hear the chef closes the place down every few months to meticulously train up new chefs. And that the fruits, veggies, and herbs come from the garden behind us. Menu changes every few days. This is the Thai equivalent of Jiro Dreams of Sushi.

A little bit expensive but the gorgeous setting, excellent service and good food make up for it. We went for a combination of 6 and 9 dishes. I loved every single dish, although some were a little bit overcooked (calamari and prawns). The drinks are good too. Try the lychee dragon smoothie, or the cocktails.

We chose the 9-course menu. Six of the dishes we loved. We did not like three dishes at all and would never order them. The roasted/stir-fried prawns as an appetizer, was delicious. The prawns from the main course were overcooked & soft. Not tasty. The fish paste in the beautiful shell was too soft. Very nicely presented. I did not eat the biggest part. The dessert was a flour ball with sweetened condensed milk with sesame seeds I found detrimental to the meal. Not my thing, I would never order it. Overall we enjoyed our dinner at Garden of Eden. Furthermore, very tasty. Very expensive for Surinamese concepts, $ 100/Srd.740 in 2 hours for 2 people.

I can't say enough good things bout this place. Both sides (formal side and the noodle bar) are top choices for me. I usually prefer the noodle bar, but that is because I don't seem as awkward when I go there by myself (about 2x per month). The food is really top notch, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is one that will make you feel cozy. Nature is the theme, mixed with a bit of zen, and it helps me find some small sense of peace. If you haven't been here, you should go, today. Your tongue will thank you for the treat.
