This was formerly restaurant Park Avenue. The owners changed their business model after an economic downturn five years ago. The restaurant now caters mainly to a slightly younger crowd. We ordered the fillet steak with mushroom sauce and the crispy pork with stir-fried vegetables. The steak was cooked perfectly. The pork was very tasty and is cooked in a sizzling cast iron dish such as used by Chinese restaurants. It wasn't sizzling however, when it arrived but it was nice and hot. I was disappointed that there was no pork crackling which is what I would have expected for a dish called crispy pork. But it was extremely flavourful so the disappointment was mild. The service was friendly. Cirano came for a chat and Juliette served us with a smiles and a touch of humour. All in all, it was an extremely pleasant experience.
