I don't know why I didn't try this place sooner. Had lots of things I've been struggling to find, like red palm oil and dried limes. It's peaceful and quiet and the staff will help you if you ask, or else leave you to shop in peace. Most of the produce was beautiful frehness-wise too. I mean these tomatoes were literally pristine.

The market has a bunch of nicely priced and authentic ingredients. Middle Eastern and Indian focus. The deli serves up some of the best falafel and dolma I've had in town!

If you want halal meat this is the place to go. They have a small counter in the back you can order street food, and they sell groceries in the front. They have falafel so it’s vegetarian friendly, and their grocery section has some great options, including some that work great for me as a vegan. The staff is friendly and it’s a nice little shop.

I do half of my groceries at Nur, I wish they had more Maghreb stuff but I understand it's not the demographic here. They sell products imported from Europe and the Middle East so you know the quality is top notch. I especially recommend the cheeses and the chocolate treats, because the chocolate candies are imported from Europe they taste 10000 times better than those manufactured in the USA.

I may not be the most well-versed in Mediteranean/Middle Eastern cuisine, but thus far out of the chicken shawarma I have tried in Tucson, and elsewhere, Nur Market's is by far the best! I have only had take out twice from here, and both times it was chicken shawarma, but both times it was absolutely amazing!!! Unfortunately, the restaurant is only open until 6 pm, but other than that this place is great. The first time I ordered via grubhub or something like that, but this last time I went in and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I also ordered baklava and that was pretty legit as well. After eating "Mediterranean/Middle Eastern" food from an array of restaurants in Madison, Wisconsin I am glad to be back in Tucson (despite this horrible heat) where the food is actually tasty and legit!!!

Way overpriced. They charge you in the restaurant more than what they advertise for in their website online. In other words, you check the prices online and you go there, then you get shocked that they charge you much more. The food is very bad, especially the chicken nuggets. It seems that they cook it in old black oil. The gyro has a bad smell. Definitely, I will never come back. For their grocery part, I saw that they sell you great value (Walmart) yogurt πŸ˜‚. Most items don't have price tag to fool you in the register area. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Enjoyed the chicken shawarma and beef sambusa (sp?).The owners made us feel welcome and were very hospitable. The restaurant is in the back while the front is a well stocked store with interesting products.

I always come here when in Tuson to get my Kenyan stuff since it's also a market. This trip I was alittle sad that they had no Sambusa or East African tea but the food we got the chicken shwarama and the Lamb with rice was really good. The staff was very friendly as always and attentive despite how busy it got which is always appreciated. I definitely recommend for some East African cuisine which is not alot out here.

I spent about $110 on rotten goat meat. These business practices make it very hard to trust them again.

Good food, nice portions, best of all good price. I've never had a shwarma made with curry before, but it was actually quite good. The pita was soft enough, plenty of meat, and veggies were very fresh. They did not skimp on the tahini either. The people are Somali and very nice, especially the man that runs the front market area. Give them a try!

This store sells Sadaf branded products, which is a company that is a hardcore supporter of Israel. I left a note for the manager to remove Sadaf products, as he was not there when I came. Please everyone boycott this store until Palestine is free.

A bit disappointing. We ordered shawarma and Pita Gyros after looking around store on what we could pick up grocery -wise. Not much variety on products in the store- I can get more variety at Babylon market or even LeeLees. However the disappointment was more in our sandwiches we picked up. The Pita Gyros is not a Pita gyros- it's a Pita souvlaki- it's on par for Pita souvlaki 100%. I say this because not only was I married to a Greek but I also lived in Greece for almost a year. The Shawarma I ordered was not a true Shawarma either. Shawarma spices include for example cinnamon, or cardamom, coriander and so on but I have never ever eaten a shawarma in any country with yellow curry. ( I have worked as a flight attendant for 14 yrs traveled pretty much everywhere except for South America and Australia and have lived in Berlin Germany my whole life which is pretty much little Istanbul- we get unlimitted varieties of Mediterranean cuisine in Berlin.) My apologies to the store because I can appreciate your efforts on trying to sell Mediterranean food.

Super wonderful foods...and caring service.... Jumada I 26, 1443 AH or Dec 30, 2021 or Tevet 26 , 5782.. Where ever you originate and whoever you are..when coming to Tucson AZ plan a visit to the Nur Import Market/ Restaurant It is an absolute MUST ! ! This family run establishment is authentic and they offer generous portions. Popular with the locals and well worth your time. The Lamb roast and rice is super Tender and packed full of flavor. The Fish Steak and Basmati rice is an outstanding dish created with an amazing combination of seasonings-- 'Totally tastes like more''...not kidding! They have several other choices which are next on my list. Each order comes with two types of sauce condiments... the red one is mild the green one super spicy but enticingly flavorful. If you like fresh hummus you absolutely must try theirs, it has fabulous flavor. They even have fried potatoes with a special seasoning...very Yummy. When you visit..your belly will be happy you did. The Restaurant closes early so please arrive no later than 4:30pm. Mst. Thank you for reading. Happy trails... fellow travelers.
