Literally the nicest and most caring animal service in the lower mainland. Dr. Hayes always does her job thoroughly and takes her time to answer all of your questions. She and the front staff are top of the line professional. We brought our dog Audrey in for an emergency pyometra surgery and they were kind enough to offer the best prices for our family. Audrey is a large great dane and Dr. Hayes and the team did a fantastic and thorough job during surgery - we could not be more thankful to have found such a wonderful team at BC Animal Hospital. The individuals at this clinic have a genuine care and respect for animals and offer the best prices for their clients. They are reasonable, patient, and kind, and our family cannot thank them enough for saving the life of our pet. If we could give them more 5 star reviews, we absolutely would. We highly recommend their services.

Very unprofessional in terms of treating my cat who had an infected eye accompanied with some coughing and wheezing. Spent $600+ and was not helpful at all. Had to go to another vet who simply gave my boy some antibiotic medication and eyedrops and the symptoms were all gone soon.

Visiting vet has always been an unpleasant experience to me as the vet loves to speak fast, throwing in terms that are difficult to understand, and only offer one option to address the concerns. Glad that I finally got referred to BC Animal Hospital; which changed my impression of vet by 180 degrees. Both Dr. Chan and Dr. Hayes took time to explain in slow pace with wording that can be understood by general person. They offer multiple options to address the situation that is not only good for the pet; but also including the financial pressure into consideration. Instead of being slapped with a multi thousand dollar estimation just for diagnosis, I felt that I am involved in the process and be empowered to make informed decisions.

The entire staff here are so supportive and caring! I credit Dr. Nina Hayes with saving our elderly cat's life and giving us an additional year and counting with her. The team is helpful with suggestions and advice in terms of not only medical care and the right decision for your family, but referrals to behavioral trainers and other services.

Today I saw Dr. Hayes and the technician who both were wonderful! I didn't have to get my cat sedated after them treating my cat MINI who is part feral. There love and patience were phenomenal!! They were able trim her nails which she desperately needed and a shot she needed too. I would HIGHLY recommend this vet practise and Dr. HAYES. THANK YOU!!

I was referred by a friend to Dr. Chan for a second opinion. He took the time to ask questions and discuss treatment options based on the big picture, not just the symptoms at hand. Something my regular vet missed. My dog has never had such a thorough appointment. I also drove from Vancouver, but it is totally worth it! I would highly recommend BC Animal Hospital.

Dr Henderson is the kindest, most caring meticulous vet I’ve ever had. I’ve been to about 7 vets in my life. No one comes close to Dr Henderson. She genuinely cares. My dog has a very complicated medical issue and Dr Henderson has gone above and beyond to try and help. She has taken hours of her own time just to try figure out how to best treat my dog. I can’t recommend her enough!

Our first visit to this office was just on Monday but I can’t say enough great things about this vet. We saw Dr.Blondel and she was phenomenal, she spent a long time really getting to know our dog and her current health problems and really helped us have an idea of what’s possibly happening with her. What really blew us away is that she had copies of the X-rays right there with her to go over before being sent to a specialist, we’ve never gotten this kind of treatment before and won’t be looking anywhere else in the future!

The vet Dr. Blondel was extremely nice. We had to drop off the pup and then talk to the vet over the phone. Thanks to COVID. Wish I could go in with my new pup in person for the check-up so as to see what all they check for. The pup walked out of there with three shots, which we assumed were recommended in line with best practices. The staff was very nice too. I have no reason to NOT go back there. See you soon.

Today was the first time in YEARS that I left the vet and did not feel like a horrible pet owner and someone actually cared about my dog. My dog has been been living with a chronic issue for the last year and it just could never be resolved. Today Doctor Chan sat on the floor with my dog and waited for her to be ready for the check up. He was kind, caring and came up with a plan on how to resolve this issue! Thank you so much!

We've been seeing Dr Chan for about 6yrs now. I cant say enough about Dr Chan. His compassion and care has helped us deal with a difficult time with our dog (Razor). Thank you for everything you've done and continue to do for us.

My husband and I have been taking our pup, Noya, to BC Animal Hospital since we picked him up and we can honestly say that all three of us couldn’t be happier with the kindness and support we’ve been given by everyone at BC Animal Hospital. From the lovely ladies at the front desk, to the vet tech, and all of the vets there, they have all been so helpful and supportive from day 1. We have had an unfortunate puppyhood with Noya due to GI issues, but we always knew we were in good hands. They are never ones to try to sell you on extra services that you don’t need and their approach to care is very holistic. We appreciate how they are always eager to educate pet owners on prevention versus pushing medications or injections first. We truly do appreciate the entire staff and their approach to animal care and would definitely recommend any of the vets here.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST VET. Dr. Chan and Dr. Henderson are beyond what it means to be a veterinarian. I know my dogs are in the best possible care in their hands. We drive out from North Vancouver to BC Animal Hospital and it's always worth it. They take their time to really explain things to you, including medications, procedures, etc. They really treat your animals like their own. Layla, Rocco and Nacho are very lucky to have such compassionate doctors looking after them. I cannot thank them enough! tldr: THEY CARE!

Dr Henderson is the best vet in the Lower Mainland! I’m glad I found her again, VCA Newton didn’t tell me she’d left their clinic last time I called for an appt with her.

It is the best place to take care of the health of your pets. Dr. Nina Hayes is wonderful, very professional and warm, and all the clinic staff are incredibly kind, professional and humane.

Dr. Henderson met with our 12 year old Staffy to provide us with a second opinion (actually third) on a treatment plan for issues he’s had with his teeth and skin. By far, this is the best and most valuable information we’ve received thus far and now feel confident on which route to take. Dr. Henderson was well informed on the breed and gave him a thorough exam. I’ve never seen our dog so calm on a table!
