We had our wedding here, and we cannot recommend the Man O War enough. Rob and Nicola could not do enough for us, and ensured that we had the most amazing day. From the food, the setting, the entertainment and the staff, this is really the perfect wedding venue!

This is the first place in Ireland that severed me a perfect pint of Guinness. The staff were delightful and the food delicious. The grounds were beautiful. The feeling of classic Irish pub life is vibrant and hard to ignore. I'll be back one day for more than breakfast and a pint.

Located in the “middle of nowhere”, no signs of beer garden, parking or live music but when you getting in…you transfer to another world. Cosy, authentic, warm atmosphere and tasty smell. Definitely need to try starters, mussels were very soft with creamy texture. Spicy prawns with home made bread and chicken wings will stay in your memory for long. We have ordered few starters and main courses with a friends to share and to try, and all in one agree that it is the best Irish cuisine in Ireland. We are planning to be often visitors and spread information about this place to the world. Very unique and most important cooking service is very high level, please do not change nothing. Keep it going!

Perfect Irish food menu, with everything you could want on it! This place is so cosy, very unassuming from the outside, styled as an old Irish cottage , but huge on the inside. It seems ideal for large groups with plenty of big tables. The pan fried hake was the fish special and it was cooked to perfection, the flavours were amazing. The double burger was beautiful tender meat. The white wine (cab sav) was very good and the service from the ladies was very friendly and attentive with a smile. We managed to bump into the owner just before we left and he was the nicest man with a genuine interest in what brought us there and how our experience was. The toilets are absolutely spotless also which is a great sign of any place. ! We will definitely be back.

Literally this pub is top tier. Most welcoming staff, even let the stag get behind the bar and pull the pints. All of them were proper legends and very welcoming. Would recommend to anyone, stunning decor and lovely food. Top place!!!!!

Great food and great service. The pub is very nice inside and very warming. The chowder and the roast lamb were both excellent in flavor and size as well as price. The desserts were also excellent I especially liked the Pavlova and my wife loved her tiramisu. Will definitely come again.

Good food. Not a huge menu, but they had some specials also. We were there for Sunday lunch. The place was heaving, which is a good sign, as its kinda out of the way I suspect most were locals or living nearby. Our son was in flynn Park nearby. Monkfish special was a little bland, but black pudding spiced it up a little. Chicken wings were really good. Chicken and beetroot salad was OK. They were extremely busy so food took a long time to come out.

Beautiful place. The food was perfect as always. We were expecting a delay because of a late covid Christmas party meaning the pub was full. They managed to sever us very quickly and the food was perfect. I would definitely recommend this pub if you have visitors, make sure you you have a look out the back of the premises its fantastic.

Beautiful idyllic spot. I had the roast rib which was beautiful veg were cooked perfectly and a lovely rich gravy. Portion size were adequate. The staff were young and friendly but a little inattentive after we got our food. Overall I would recommend it.

This is a place I have been meaning to visit for a long time and I'm glad I did today. First of the staff are very helpful, the pub itself is old and it shows but it is well maintained and clean. The food we ordered was the best pub that we have had in a long time. I highly recommend a visit to this pub for the food and the atmosphere. Enjoy.

Brilliant country offbeat location, just off the M1 motorway. Great vibes with indoor and outdoor seating. Good food menu, with limited veggie options, especially when two of the three options aren’t available on the day. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We finally managed to get a table here! Our last few visits to Ardgillan Castle nearby were met with disappointment when we couldn't get a booking. Success today, 28th December and it was certainly worth the wait. We were seated beside the open fire so once a fresh cold pint was put in front of me I was in heaven! The service was excellent, the food ticked all the boxes, even the kids were spoiled for choice and their portions were huge. The Goats Cheese starter was absolutely incredible. Of course my wife ordered it, which caused serious food envy here. My Pate was a very solid second place though!! I'm looking forward to our next visit after a long boring January filled with Kale smoothies!! 😂

A traditional Irish pub, full of warmth and charm. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and a lovely menu. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. There is even a lovely dog friendly area outside that is covered. Buy a postcard and stamp at the bar and post a message from the original green postbox outside.

Great Irish pub serving good food in both a restaurant area and the pub. Very busy on both of our visits which added character. Tried the seafood pie and the home burger both were good. Lots of parking behind the pub and a huge beer garden area if weather permits

Great ambiance, food and personnel. We ate dinner here with a group of colleagues. Excellent food, excellent Irish live music, excellent beer. The chicken wings I ate were perfectly done, and the Thai food (in an Irish restaurant, yes it is possible :)))) was excellent.

Great food and service! These folks are above standards in all categories. Their monk fish and beef and Guinness stew are the best I have had in all my trips to Ireland
