They have 3 kind of sections. 1. Main bar (no smoking) with dance floor and a bar. No strict dressing. On the peak hours it's usually jammed packed. 2. Smoking section with a pool table and a bar. No strict dressing code. Gets filled up fairly well as well. 3. Lizard lounge. Great music & Bar. Comfortable, great for those who do not like the crowd. Strict dress code( close shoes) and security is pretty tight as well. Overall: Great music ( you can even have song request, staff are super cool and friendly, clean toilets with TP_ which is something rare in most fijis nightspots)
It is one night spot that I visit regularly as the staff and music are just too good.
Unsafe..to many pick pockets and street kids going in and out..
It's a bit better but the only downfall would be the space and the air conditioning because there are some places inside where the air conditioning does not reached.
We are Australian mature aged couple who were denied entry to Downunder Pub last evening around 8 pm. Reason was we had 2 unopened packets of coconut biscuits in a bag. They were given to us by Fiji friends to take back to Oz. Security said management had instructed them to deny access to anyone bringing in food from outside. We went instead to Holiday Inn and spent our money there (and no we did not eat tge biscuits). We would really like a response from DownUnder Management on this. The application of a blanket rule needs to be rethought.
Down Under? Think Suva's jukebox on overdrive, baby! Music hotter than a beach bonfire, DJs dropping beats thicker than guava jam, and tunes fresher than mangoes straight off the tree. O'Reilly's ain't got nothin' on this sound system – we're talking soul-massaging bass and dancefloor-melting rhythms that'll make you forget rent exists. Yeah, the bathrooms are surprisingly posh too – no questionable puddles in sight, just clean tiles you could eat off (not recommended, though). It's like nightclub magic! But listen up, party people – whispers of pickpockets flit around Down Under like mosquitoes. Keep your valuables closer than your dance partner, eyes sharp as a hawk on a gecko, and moves tighter than a coconut husk. Think "street smarts and swagger" rather than "free-for-all." (Also be wary of the other mosquitoes👀) Bottom line? Down Under's worth the hype. It's a Suva dance-a-thon with tunes that'll make you shake your palm tree and bathrooms that won't make you cry. Just remember, watch your stuff, let the music wash over you, and have a night so epic you'll be saying "Oi Segai" to the memories for weeks. So grab your crew, hit the dance floor, and let Down Under show you what Suva nightlife is all about! Boom!
Safe night club. Separated smokers lounge from the dance floor allows space for dancers and those who prefer a publike setting. Simple toilets with swing door accessibility
absolutely live the stuff company, very polite and helpful.
Alot of young people go here.
A great club with the BEST music and toilets never run out of TP and most importantly WATER, however bouncers should beware of pick-pockets who enter the club and under aged teenagers.
Lively club, good staff and great Music. Also Please note the AIRCON is STRONG even when the place is crowded compared to other clubs around Suva.
