Arrived Suva at 9pm and was so hungry. Fed up with hotel restaurant/cafe so we went out and looked for something more interesting. From google map the closest restaurant which ranked the highest is Daikoku (with good comments by google local guides) so we just went there. It was already 9 something when we arrived but there are still lots of people there. As mentioned by other google local guides, the staffs and chefs are local people. Of course I wouldn’t compare this with the local authentic Japanese cuisine in japan, but having Japanese food here in Fiji and food cooked by a non-Japanese, I would say, it’s excellent! We ordered two sets of Teppan Yaki and the chef cooked food in front of us. We were amazed by his skills!

Sia is rude!! Unfriendly and unwelcoming 1 star for her!! Iliasapeci chef in photo needs a pay rise she is amazing, friendly funny kind and OMG those prawns and cheese sauce is a MUST HAVE wish I didn't order sushi and only had the prawns! (In photo( Would come back is sia was to leave. Service needs to improve would have double the amount of drinks if waitress asked if we needed anything often instead of us waiting for them to walk past. Would have been 5 star if sia wasn't there

This place could do with some renovations and new decors to brighten and liven up the interiors. Food was OK as I expected more as it seems to be overhyped by people who recommend it. Service staff could benefit from a refersher training on how to serve people and how to practice good personal hygiene. Like do not pick your nose when serving customers.

Lakisa is an amazing chef 👩🏾‍🍳! She made an exciting show that included fire, throw & catch game and fast chopping 🔪! The food was extremely delicious 😋. We also ask for plum wine and sushi 🍣! Staff were friendly and I'm very happy with today's experience 😍.

It’s for sure a must try restaurant in Suva. There are about 20+ seats in the restaurant and so you must make a reservation in advance. There are choices to choose from a-la-carte or you can choose a set with varieties of meat and seafood with salads. Rice and miso soup.

The first thing that caught my attention was the sticky rig that I stepped into. The establishment could use a little bit of remodeling or " beautifying". Apart from this the food was actually good. I had the shrimps that was tasty. The few drawbacks I see is the price and wheel chair accessibility. It's $$$. I'd spent over $70 FJD, but I wasn't satiated. So if you coming here to chill out with a large group, I'd recommend you find another restaurant which I guarantee you will find but if you wanna have an experience and don't mind spending alot of money, you're welcome to come here.

A little bit pricey considering the size of the dish. But the service and show that the chefs provide are totally worth it! Book in advance!

A great place in Suva for a dinner that is also a bit of entertainment. I love watching my food being prepared in front of me. I chose premium teppanyaki set that included beef tender loin, lobster, prawn, salmon, fried veggies, miso soup, steam rice, vegetable salad, tempura or sushi entre to choose from (I got tempura prawn, fish and eggplant) and fresh fruit to finish up. Everything was very tasty and steak cooked perfectly. Worth the price and left the restaurant really full!

One of the best meals I had in Fiji. The Seafood Supreme Combination Teppanyaki Set cooked by Chef Luisa was heavenly. The Salmon Sashimi was excellent as well. We left with our tummies satisfied.

I love the food here. Teppanyaki is always fun. Our family loves the shrimp and the wasabi steak. We usually get a D-Value set as well which gives a yummy salad, miso soup and boiled rice. Some friends of ours have had trouble with the grimey washer that the spatula is wiped on then used to serve food. I don't love that your shoes stick to the carpet.

👍👍 Really enjoyed my meal at Maya Dhaba! I went here based off Google maps and it did not disappointed!
