Very
busy
and
full
of
varieties
of
vegetables
fruits
rootcrops
seafood
meat
handi
crafts
and
other
exotic
food
items
Cafes
takeaways
and
restaurants.
Same
as
Farmers
market
in
the
States
the
Suva
Municipal
Market
has
undergone
various
changes
in
the
last
50yrs
and
is
a
2
story
building.
Market
and
meeting
places
for
all
Fijians
of
different
ethnicities
this
national
treasure
is
situated
in
the
heart
of
the
city
and
is
surrounded
with
car
parks
and
the
famous
Suva
Bus
Station
and
taxi
stand.
Not
the
cleanest
but
you
should
expect
that
from
Farmers
market
with
similar
sizes.
Extremely
busy
on
weekends
but
closed
on
Sundays
except
for
outside
vendors.
Opening
hours
from
8
to
5pm
Monday
to
Saturday.
But
you
can
always
catch
vendors
available
late
into
the
night
around
the
outside.
Cooked
root
crops
is
available
there
also.
Caution
should
be
taken
in
this
type
of
crowded
area
because
of
pick
pockets
and
other
crimes.
There
is
a
police
post
available
in
the
area
for
piece
of
mind.
You
are
welcomed
to
take
your
family
there
and
not
forgetting
the
famous
kava
market
upstairs.
