Its an ideal place to hang out as a family and learn alot about the birds and fauna while at the same time get abit of walking done. Its fun and the children will enjoy learning about the different animals that are housed here. Admission fees are worth every cent

Awesome adventure. Trip was a bit long, 3 hours from Port Denarau. However, we were provided with a bus to pick us up from the resort lobby. Staff were great, beautiful scenery on the longboat ride up the Navua River, lots of water falls. Small hike to nearby village and swimming at waterfall. Followed by floating down the river in inflatable tubes for a relaxing end to the day. Definitely recommend

Great views and service. Be careful with the rough rapids though, I tipped over 2x. Make sure not to be wearing anything that can fly off as people lost their sunglasses and bracelet.

This was an absolutely incredible experience! We booked through our hotel for the following day. We were about 2.5 hours away but it was worth the ride. We went 32km up river by boat, passing beautiful waterfalls and stopping at a small village and then on to a big stunning waterfall for a swim. Lunch was provided at a small camp along the bank. The food was very tasty. Our guide Ben was fantastic and William took lots of photos which were transferred by email all for only $20FJD (about $9 USD). We tubbed back down much of the river we traveled up. There were some rapids along the way which the guides navigates us through. This activity includes just a small amount of moderate walking and some swimming. Everyone wore life jackets including the guides. The activity is appropriate for children too. We had one non-swimmer in our group and she took pictures of her family from the boat during the tubing. She also had a wonderful time. Thank you River Tubing Fuji for an excellent experience. Vinaka (thank you!).

This tour is awesome. Guides are fun very informative and great at making sure your experience is a good one.... We were picked up from the shangri la at 730am with a few other people from near nadi. The driver was right on time and drove us quite safely compared to some other operators on the road. Once we arrived we were greated with tea coffee and biscuits signing in and a introduction to guides and saftey talk. After being kitted out with our tube and jackets it was a short walk to the boats we were helped in a taken up the river in groups each group having a guide and driver that you stay with the whole day. You do need to jump out and walk past some rapids to let the boats get to the other side, once back into the boat we stopped at were lunch is served to drop off the people to prepare lunch while you continue to the village. The guides do explain the basics of village life and culture. There are somethings that need to be respected in the village that the guides explain clearly please respect them. After the village it is back into the boats and off to a beautiful waterfall for a swim after a short walk up some stairs and pathway. After our swim it was time for a awesome lunch 😋 and a rest. The guides make sure everyone has a feed and enough to drink before heading down river... After lunch everyone meets at the river bank for the tubing experience after a short talk. The tubing is fun relaxing and exciting with all the guides staying with their groups and keeping a eye on everything and everyone. All the guides are friendly fun and helpful. I did notice they all seem to have a extensive knowledge of the river, how it flows and the land, aswell as ready to jump in and hold your hand or bag at any stage making the whole day safe and enjoyable for everyone. Once we made it back to where we started, we made our way to the change rooms and coffee tea biscuits were on offer once again. Back on the bus to be taken back to our accommodation. we got back to our hotel around 530pm. So depending on where you stay it can be a long day but worth it... I totally recommend anyone coming to fiji book this tour...

My wife and I have traveled to more than 70 countries so far. This was one of the most beautiful tours ever. Friendly people, beautiful nature made the day magical. Professional and friendly team did everything to make it nice for us. So thank you Douglas, Ben, Tom, Kuki and other Fijian friends on this wonderful day.

I'll rate this place... Zip line adventure is pretty cool. Water slide is good. Birds and fish are interesting. Food was reasonable price and pleasant enough. Our 8 year old had a great time - even granny had a go on the zip line!

Had an excellent time, spent just under 2 hours walking through the park and seeing the animals. Didn't go on the zip line or slide, but children with other families seemed to be having a good time. The large walk-in aviaries were my favourite. Feeding the turtles was also fun.

Enjoyed the time learning more about birds and reptiles on display. Love that I got the chance to see a peacock in person. Wish we went on a private tour instead of with the school as I felt a bit rushed ... but that was alright seeing as we were with preschool children. Last time I was here I got to carry an iguana on my shoulder but this time they were caged which is good considering my daughter wouldn't go 5 feet near the thing.

Brilliant trip in a beautiful area. William Danfords family have an amazing history in the area, he is an excellent and interesting guide and the trip is fantastic. Longboats up the river, stunning scenery, a brief village visit, walk to a waterfall for a swim, then a good lunch before drifting back down the river on inner tubes. Some of it is a leisurely drift, some more, um, rapid! I'd absolutely recommend this trip .

Amazing experience! We came today with 4 families with kids from 2-10 years old. The kids loved the boat ride up the river and the visit the the local village. Waterfall visit was amazing, could swim right up to it or even take a jump off some of the nearby rocks into some deep pools. lunch was great, plenty of local food - kids couldn’t get enough pineapple ! The rapids were quite gentle, enough for a little thrill but not too scary. The scenery of waterfalls was amazing. Team were very accomodating and always very friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great day out of nature, culture and excitement in Fiji !

The most amazing experience that my partner and myself had in Fiji. Such beautiful hospitality and kind people. There was so much to look at, from amazing views and a beautiful little village, to the waterfalls and rapids. You really get a great authentic experience with this activity! The drivers, Dan and Malakai, were so lovely! They even went out of their way to take us to go learn how to make kava afterwards. Such lovely people and the best day we had on the island by far!! 100% recommend!!!

Incredible experience even on an overcast and slightly rainy day! The longboat ride was fantastic and Capt. Eric obviously knows the river like the back of his hand. Getting to see inside the local Sabata village, meet some of the residents and learn about the true Fijian culture was very valuable and eye opening. The waterfall was awesome in every sense of the word and swimming was well worth it. The provided lunch tasted fantastic and included some local ingredients picked on the riverbank. Once in the tubes, it was a relaxing float downstream with four or five opportunities to ride through some rapids which offered a bit of a thrill. All of the staff were informative and friendly, yet our guide Simmi takes the cake for best laugh and provided us with such an unforgettable experience! A cameraman is also provided so you don’t need to worry about missing out on any photo opportunities. Could not recommend this enough to anyone with an interest in the Fijian culture.

We went to Kula WILD Adventure Park after a cyclone, so none of the rides were open, however if there anything like the animals, then I bet there awesome. We had loads of fun looking round, I'd recommend this place for sure. 👍

An enjoyable day out for the family right across the road from Outrigger Beach Resort. See the native flora and fauna of Fiji while taking a walk around the forest. There's pool and water slide where the kids can cool down and a zip line down from the canopy top which is a highlight if you're looking for some excitement. Entry and activities are a bit pricey but is good if you're looking for a leisurely time out for the family with some fun for everyone.

This is a nice, small park / wilderness experience that is suitable for kids. Bring your swimmers - the small pool play area was a big hit with ours (6 and 4 years). Chance to see (and hold) snakes, iguanas, turtles and soem other animals. Worth the visit.

Great place for adults and kids. Waterslide was great fun. Unfortunately the zip rail was under maintenance so we didn't get to have a go. Great small children's (toddler to 12 years) water park situated at the café .... so adults could enjoy a meal or drink while kids played. Feeding the turtles was a great bonus.

Wonderful experience with such friendly people who make you feel a part of their extended family. Lovely tour and interesting history along the way. Great lunch and fun tubing. It was my husband's birthday and they sang to him while we were on the river. Magical and memorable day. If our travels bring us back to Fiji, we will joyfully take this adventure again. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Vinaka.

We booked as 2 couples and they put on a great day for us and one other couple. Seamless pickup at cruise ship and shuttle to their base right on the river. We motored up river by local guides amazing watching him navigate the shallow waters. We then visited a authentic local village no shows or souvenirs just locals living their everyday life. We then went to a great waterfall and immediately jumped in. So refreshing! Lunch was served very nice local food. We then jumped in the tubes and floated downstream at a perfect pace. We encountered very fun rapids and no one spilled or had any problems. Such a fun and safe experience. A great example that the owner William has set for showing off his beautiful country respecting and support all local people and activities. Best of luck William keep it up and see you the next time we are in Suva!!

A beautiful scenic day which was adventurous, tiring and so rewarding. I went on this with my sisters and Dad and his golf crew and family. Before you actually begin to tube you take a couple of wooden boats. We had a lovely and experienced boat driver (?) and you get to see some beautiful, authentic views of Navua. You pass villages, cows on a farm, some diggers dredging the river, some waterfalls and if you're lucky catch some women and children playing in the shallow areas of the river. They take you first to the waterfall where you can enjoy a swim for an hour or so in the cold and fresh water. The route is relatively safe as they've concreted a path. You then have lunch, get a safety brief and hop into your tube with some assistance and then you're on your way. The guides are so FIT!, entertaining and very aware of tubers who may need some help. Listen to exactly what they say when they tell you to go left, go right or put your bum up and dont take your phone with you as you risk dropping it in. You might get stuck and frankly thats ok. I ran adrift early on because I couldn't tell left from right, but in an instant two guides were there to help me. I think three babies also tubed down that day, escorted and held safely by their mums in their special tubes and they all looked like they were having the time of their lives! An experience worth having if you've got a free Saturday!!

Here you are in the lap of nature. You will see amazing hidden nature of beautiful Fiji. The guide was just more than amazing and they entertain you lot. During the activities you might fear but just chill and enjoy the slow of water. For me this was first time and was scared but trust me you will enjoy it. Go for it and take a dip into water. Water is really chill. Beauty of nature is something that you enjoy very much. Go for it.

  • 5/5 Sekaia N. 3 years ago on Google
Loved the experience. The family who run it are very hospitable. Tour guides are very friendly and accommodating. The scenery is stunning as you go on a boat ride upriver. Cascading waterfalls. Lush vegetation. And an experienced boatman to take you up the rapids. Once you reach your destination, you go on a short scenic route following a stream till you reach this great waterfall with a deep pool. There also spots on the way to it where you can swim and one of those spots has a smaller waterfall with a deep pool perfect for those who want to dive into it. They provide a beautiful hearty lunch. Then when you think you're done, there's still the tubing down stream. How much of the river you tube down is totally up to you and the guides move on your time. You can either tube the whole way, relaxing on the slow moving parts of the river, or just ask to be taken by boat to the places where there are rapids. Trust me. Going down a river in a tube is something to def experience. Like going down the biggest yest natural waterslides. Take your family. They'll love it

A fantastic journey, me and my partner spent the day in awe at the beauty of the Navua River. We took our boat up the rapids with Ben, who was an extremely friendly and informative guide, who led us to a remote village where we learnt about the day-to-day lives of the villagers. After, they brought us to a hidden waterfall basin where we had a quick swim before heading to lunch which was provided for us. From there, we were helped down the river in our tubes by Rosie as my partner is not a confident swimmer. Going down the rapids was exhilarating and refreshing as it helped to cool down. After our time on Navua, we were brought back to base and bought ourselves beautifully crafted turtle souvenirs from a large table of gorgeous items. An absolutely wonderful time was had.

The best day of our trip to Fiji. Staff was friendly and funny. Ben was our guide and was amazing, he even started singing beautiful songs in a breathtaking scenery. Great boat ride, visit to a village, swim in the waterfall, lunch by the river and the tubing was so much fun. This guys are great and put up a great fun day!

What an incredible experience! From the beginning to the end. My whole experience was just breathtaking. The scenery, the staff, the food. It was just awesome! Rain or Shine these guys will still go. The staff members were very helpful. If you are a female tourist you will need “sulu” sarong to cover when you walk into the village, men no hats worn inside village. FYI

My friends and I had the absolute best time on this tour. The tour guides Ben and Dougie were so friendly, having chats with us, teaching us Fijian and local info. We were non-stop laughing the whole day. From the village tour to the waterfall to the tubing down. Despite the rainy weather and it being a little bit cold everyone was in such cheerful spirits. It felt well organised and all the tour guides were really enjoying themselves. Such a lovely family run business, I recommend everyone to go in this tour!

Best tour I’ve been on. Seeing genuine villagers, untouched areas only accessed by river. Learning the culture. Good food, swimming in waterfalls. Followed by tubing down rapids. Guides had us laughing all day. Thanks Happy and Simi 🤣🇫🇯❤️

The trip was amazing! The experienced and friendly guides made the day fantastic, and well worth the journey from Nadi. They were funny and friendly, and very knowledgeable. The lunch at the riverside was lovely. The guides helped people navigate in the tubes, which I definitely needed, as my arms were too short to paddle properly! If you do the trip, take jandals/sandals/reef shoes with you. Makes walking on the river stones much easier and nicer on the feet. And jandals make good paddles it turns out. We hope to definitely be back in ur future!

The day we went was one of the best days we had in Fiji! Ben, our amazing guide took us up the river by boat and explained all the amazing things we were passing, answered any question we had and took some awesome photos with us. The whole day was perfectly planned, first a cruise up the river on the boat, which took about an hour, parked up then headed into the village. The local traditions and practices were explained to us and the story of the owner’s ancestors was also told which was very interesting. After this we were able to explore the village and talk to the villagers and ask them about their lives. The whole experience was eye opening as their lives were so different to our own. Leaving the village we got back into boats and headed down stream to the waterfall where we spent half and hour swimming and jumping off the rocks. From there it was short boat ride to lunch, which was a delicious mix of traditional Fijian food. After lunch was time for the excitement, we had a safety talk and got into the tubes. Floating down the river was a mix of relaxation and adventure, the rapids brought major fun and the calm parts of the river allowed for the beautiful views to be taken in. All of the guides were amazing, always there to help out or answer any question. The whole day was an amazing experience that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Amazing experience and we had great fun! We loved the whole day from boat ride, to waterfall, to tubing down the river with style gentle rapids and to top it all off we were also serenaded by the magnificent staff during the river tubing! Highly recommended experience and better yet, it is local family run business so all the benefits go back to the local communities.

Fantastic trip! Wonderful staff, beautiful waterfalls, fun longboat trip up the river, actual authentic village visit, waterfall hike and swim, delicious lunch, and then the tubing down! I'm in my late 60's, waiting for a knee replacement so have a knee brace and walking cane. So I was concerned about being able to do this. I didn't need to worry as the staff was very accommodating and Kuki went above and beyond to look after me the entire day including giving me a hand on the stairs to the waterfall swim (about 50 stairs en route but not all at once) and constantly checking on me during the river float down. He checked on everyone in our group going back and forth keeping us all where we needed to be in the river. We also had some young kids in our group so he was looking after them too. Truly an amazing, caring, genuine person. The entire staff was very attentive to the group. There are several Guides that actually float down with you. If you don't want to do the float part, you can opt to stay in the boat as they go down the river too keeping an eye on everyone. This trip was so good I would definitely do it again. Don't worry about the weather, you're going to get wet anyway. We had some rain and sunshine.

This was a magnificent experience I highly reccomend. We got an early pick up from Nadi so was a long drive but well worth it. Beautiful rugged scenery, genuine cultural connection and learning followed by a spectacular feadr then a cooling dip in the waterfall before floating down on the tubes. Loads of staff in the water to help navigating the small rapids, I felt fully at ease with Dougie who had the youngest two in our group safely secured and fully entertained the whole way. My mother opted to ride the boat back instead of tubing.
