Very good service the doctors are very nice and friendly, staying here is just like you at home with yur loved ones who take more proper care for you then home.
PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE ! Families come here in distress and the last thing they need is rude front desk staff who think they own everything and everyone. Mind you this is only the Indian staff. This is not racist because I am an Indian too. Keep your attitudes at home when you come to work at a place like this. MONEY MAKING PLACE AS WELL. Read all the other reviews, they will say the same. EXPERIENCE WITH THE DOCTOR SO FAR IS OKAY. CONTENT ABOUT THIS ASPECT ATLEAST
Insurance approval for blood test was sent to a staff. Her shift changed, the next available staff does not have access to her system. She had to send to BSP again. Secondary, the doctor forgot to include scanning thus had to waste another half day. Blood test approval provided for the 2nd time, yet I had to wait for so long. Service is bad. They need to train their staff and improve overall system.
This place is only for making money. They don’t care about people’s health. Unless and until you pay them the service is provided. My mom was admitted last December 2023 for shortness of breath and next thing she was on ventilator which I understand. Then they started doing dialysis the very next day. We had to pay on daily basis for this treatment for which we still don’t know why the procedure was being done. Also very interesting was that they told us if a young patient comes in we will take off the life support and put on the other patient since they had only one. Three days later my mom passed away with no proper explanation on her death. I personally was there during these procedures and was shocked to see how this hospital was back then and now. The staff are not experienced enough to do this kind of job. This place is a training center where nurses come gain some experience and leave for better pay. Totally not worth going there just to pay to die here. Something has to be done about medical care and the way they run this institution. Totally pathetic I would say. Same doctors who work at CWM are here at Oceania. I would say better to get treatment at the main hospital for free or at a lower cost than here. We need transparency to gain public trust that you guys are doing your best not just sucking money out of poor peoples life. Lastly we spent close to $30,000 FJD for 4 days.
An Unforgettable Journey from a daughters/RNs Perspective I recently had my dad transferred to Oceania Private Hospital (OPH) via Zens ambulance service. The service was on time and highly recommended. My father with his severely fractured leg was transferred from Tavua to Suva with so much support and care For OPH all I can say is that it exceeded my expectations. No doubt challenges were there but I could see that everyone from cleaners, nurse assistants, RNs, EENs, ENs, administration managers tried their best to support every patient that came through their doors I have had the opportunity to talk to the staff during my dads stay and I came to understand the hard work that was put to help him especially with the resources that are there in Fiji. My father being an extremely high anesthetic risk was given the upmost care by an incredible medical and admin team: Babita Chandra- Administration manager who treated us like family. She definitely runs a tight ship and if you are in doubt and need help then please talk to her! Dr Emosi Don Taloga- Orthopedic Surgeon who did the unthinkable and operated on my father Dr Joji Malani (kidney specialist)- Who ensured my dads kidney function was preserved. He like us Tavua sider took so much time to get to know us and appreciated FAMILY! He did not forget his roots! Dr Veeraj Kalburgi (cardiologist)- ensured my dads cardiac function was preserved Dr Mary Tuke Maafu (anesthetist)- The key player in keeping my fathers health at its best during surgery. She is kind, knowledgeable, speaks for patient safety and spent precious time to reassure a Nurse/daughter that my father will be ok and she will do her best to ensure he is safe! God bless you! With my experience my view has changed dramatically for OPH and I can now be assured that my family can get the medical help needed, of course there is fees, challenges but none the less my father has come out better and ALIVE! I share my experience so that I can start the necessary change needed for our health system. There are dedicated health professional who actually care, don't take breaks and don't get appreciated for what they do. They come to work with a smile and do what is needed with what they have. There is always that appreciation for help So the next time you choose OPH please have an open mind, advocate for your loved ones but also remember that the team is doing what they can with what they have. Lets start with RESPECT! Thank you OPH!!!!! Lesson learnt: If you need blood, be prepared to replace (have donors ready) It is the way it is as this assures there is enough to help anyone else who will be in the same shoes as you and I!
Surprised how efficient and professional the staff is, didn't expect that in a developing country.
Staff are very friendly as you start your check outside the entrance (temperature, blood pressure, sugar and weight before assorted by friendly staff to the front desk, checked in and wait to e called. They always come out and check on you whether you've been seen or no and always sympathetic towards patients everytime. I was there with my lovely wife from 11am to 4pm!! but was assured by staff, soothing nature and "take your time" when getting ready for any checks you require or required by them. Don't have to go far when you're hungry because there's a restaurant in house!! Just like a hotel for sick people and was sad to leave the hospital after my visit....and me, always trying to avoid hospital; thank you Ocenia Hospital for the service!!!
Very efficient and professional staff. This exact efficiency and professionalism saved my life in 2019. I am truly grateful to Dr. Pushpa Nusair and her amazing team. Great place to be when on the mend and to recuperate.
