The food is horrible. When this place first opened it was so good and my family and I ate here at least twice a week but then I noticed the staff changed and then the quality of the food changed and customer service. I’ve tried to give it 2nd and 3rd chances because it’s black owned but after this last visit today I will never patronize this place. The dressing is half cooked and runny..the fish only cooked on one side. I don’t know what happen but the food is messy looking and disgusting . Save your money. A whole plate going in the trash. All the juices ran everywhere so I had to put my meal on a plate when I got home. I threw jt all away.

First visit. Way too much money spent for turkey meatloaf and two veggies. The meatloaf was MEATless And all bread stuffing. Cabbage was OK, collard greens were tough and not seasoned well. The best thing going with the cornbread muffin.

The food was alright at best. Good not great The chicken wasn't fresh the white rice was plain with no seasoning and very mushy. But the collar greens,mac and cheese and cornbread were awesome! I'd definitely try then when you come here. The staff were nice but It wasn't really a vibe so if you come here it's better to get it to go. Other than that I'd suggest that if your gonna charge people as much as you do then the food should be up to par. Drop some fresh chicken when orderd. I'm not sure about the other meats but I'd come back because overall it wasn't that bad

Love that veggies are full of flavor without salt meat. Tender well seasoned chicken. Must stop again when traveling. Convenient off interstate in Sugarloaf. The cake was moist with perfect sweetness.

What I loved most is the message on the board that greeted me as I walked in.. It read “Blessed Saturday? Regardless of what I see, feel or hear..Lord I trust & promises you have over my life.” It’s a message I received Well as I’ve been facing a rough past few months.. Ok enough of my “too much info” lol The Turkey wing was AMAZING, seasoned VERY WELL, & falling off the bone literally!! Super delicious.. The Macaroni was tasty as well.. as was the potato salad they weren’t the best or worst I’ve had & I would definitely get these sides again. I didn’t care too much for the cornbread stuffing.. it tasted jus like cornbread stuffing.. it’s not a good sub for REAL DRESSING.. The cornbread muffin was bomb as well!! Overall great experience!! Customer service was great as well & the service was fast!! I would’ve given 4 stars due to the stuffing but the inspirational greeting & customer service made up for it!! I jus moved here from Chicago & I’m super critical When it comes to food (especially soul food) & customer service!! I’ll definitely visit again!! That Turkey wing alone was enough for me to come back Lbvs!! I don’t eat pork & beef & I need options not to mention they are only 8 mins away

Unfortunately, I did not take pics, but can attest that the portion sizes are excellent, and the staff pleasant and friendly. For my overall experience the meal was marginal/mediocre in quality and taste compared to the cost of the meal. I ordered the Turkey wings (a bit dry/overcooked - my sister's are superior), cornbread dressing (mine is better) , green beans (overcooked, too soft, flavor was good), and a side of Mac and Cheese (good, a bit salty). The rice and gravy is what really killed this rating. The rice was overcooked and had a starchy film as if it should have been rinsed, or a different cooking method used. Adding their gravy (watery, and mostly fat) made it worse. If I were to go back, I'd insist that they not put the rice on my plate. The restaurant was busy, so I guess it is liked by many, but just did not stand up to my expectations of quality or taste.

My husband and I found this gem!! Message on sign before entering..very nice touch to show appreciation for spirtuality. Service was excellent!! The young lady taking orders has an amazing attitude (even when dealing with difficult customers). That shows the quality of service they seek to have in this establishment. The men in the back preparing the food (blessed hands and you can taste the love in the food) and not to mention the other young lady adding food/sides up front. She was gracious to accommodate us for a delayed order with dessert. 1st time going but it will NOT be my last. Had baked chicken (white meat) so flavorful and juicy, rice n chicken gravy, mac n cheese, and collard greens. My husband had turkey meatloaf, rice n brown gravy, and mac n cheese. We had 0 complaints. Everything was delicious. Long post but my spirit was moved to share our experience!! Nice to see a soul food place with quality service and thanking each customer. Many business could take lessons from their example. Phenomenal job you all. I give you ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stopped here today for the first time while on my route and I was definitely impressed! They opened a few minutes early for us luckily. I wanted to try everything I must say, it smells like my mom's house when I entered. I went with the baked chicken dinner with macaroni and greens and the chicken made me wanna ask who was in the back cooking. Their customer service is awesome and the food was even better. They definitely cook with love. I will return for sure! Thank yall

Oh my word! this food was amazing. I had turkey wings, cabbage, and corn. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The staff was friendly and warm! THAT corn muffin😍😍 I will absolutely be back!

The comfort soul food restaurant delivered tender baked chicken and flavorful fried fish. The side dishes, including black-eyed peas, collard greens, and mac and cheese, were delicious complements to the hearty meal.

Definitely a good spot for some quick soul food. The chicken and cornbread is delicious. Banana pudding is a must here

I loved the customer service here because as soon as I walked in the girl that worked there helped me out. I got catfish, green beans and potato salad. The catfish was decent but still very fishy. The corn bread had a lot of flavor and wasnt dry. Green beans were seasoned well. The only thing I don’t recommend is the potato salad. It was sour which three me off bad. I’d give the food a 3.5.

I’m not sure how this spot don’t have more stars! I order off Uber Eats atleast once a week. The fried catfish, green beans and Mac and cheese keeps me in a chokehold. The red velvet cake tastes homemade. The fried chicken wings is my second go to. The cornbread muffin hits everytime. It definitely is real soul food and comforts me each time! I wish I saved pics of each time. Try them out you won’t be disappointed!

If you have the taste of a “good cooked home” meal and don’t feel like cooking, GO HERE!! The potato salad was the best out of everything!! The dressing in second place! Wait I forgot about the pork chop .. fried so good , the rice in my opinion didn’t have any type of taste (w gravy ) but nothing a little pepper won’t fix . I got a side of Mac for my baby and we both tore it up. Will definitely be back ! (Even the corn muffin was good n sweet)

This was my first visit and won’t be the last! If you looking for good soul food this would be the perfect spot! I got the turkey wing plate which came with white rice and 2 sides. I got the candied yams and dressing for my sides. The dressing was on point and if you grew up with a mama that can cook you know everyone can’t make dressing😂. Loved the corn muffin and the chicken gravy option for the white rice. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food they give you. The location is very clean and the staff was. Wry friendly. They even let me sample the dressing before ordering it. Thank you for the great experience! Next time I’ll bring my family to grab a few plates!

Food was good, service was quick. Wish they had a better seating area for ppl on their break. It’s hard to eat these good plates sitting in your car without making a mess. Nice portion size also. Like my yams a little firmer but the taste was there.

Placed my order online! But for some reason they didn't receive it but when I showed the young lady the order she was right on it the customer service is good here haven't even made it to the food yet. The customer service gets the five stars first. Then I have to do 5 stars for the food! Simply amazing! My go to when I get that soul food craving ! 👍🏿

Everything was tasty! The collards weren't as seasoned as preferred and I didn't care for the big stems. The wing was salty. Overall, I enjoyed my food and will order again.

Taste like I stopped by Grandma's and got a plate. The turkey wings are bomb and comes with rice so you still get to choose 2 sides to go along with. It's all season just right to me. For dessert the red velvet cake sealed the deal good and moist. Oh yeah they are very generous with the portions and the prices are reasonable. When I want some soul and don't feel like cooking I know just where to go. Forever Family Soul

The food is delicious. I had the turkey wing, dressing and yams, it was awesome. My daughter had chicken wings, mac and cheese and yams. She loved the mac and cheese. She said the chicken wings were big and juicy. I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s now our favorite restaurant. The staff were nice.
