We stayed both here and Thon Hotel Lofoten and they are very similar in quality. Excellent breakfast buffet, modern and interesting decor. The views at Svolvaer don’t come close to Lofoten though!

Gorgeous ocean and island view with Superior room. I spent hours just watching the weather go from sunny to rainy to snowing every half hour. The breakfast here I consider to be one of the top 3 all time best hotel breakfast I've ever had. They put a serious amount of effort into it. I was hesitant to spend so much for a room, however now I regret only spending 1 night, so I'm going back in September to spend another 2 nights!

What a wonderfull experience! This is as close to a perfect stay away from home you will ever experience! The beds and sheets were amazing, the room and view were extraordinary, and the breakfast was the best i have ever got on a hotel. The binocular that is for your use iw there for a reason! The landscape is fantastic!

Didn’t expect such level of hotel in such a relatively remote area. Amazing staff. Well appointed and modern room with details considered. Very centrally located: stone throw away from ferry/cruise terminal, sightseeing pier, central square with restaurants and the WW2 museum. Almost forgotten: amazing breakfast buffet including some gluten-free options (see photo)! PS: no separate restaurant on google maps: the restaurant is absolutely amazing: especially the service (just like breakfast. They even remember my mum’s request for hot water during breakfast despite the overwhelming number of guests)

Very modern hotel for the area, clean and tidy with pleasant staff who had great English since my Norwegian is mediocre at best. The food in the restaurant was very nice I had the beef meal, I'll leave a review on their restaurant name if you want to see!

Very nice and modern hotel. Our room was comfy and clean. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was special and absolutely delicious! We did not expect to eat like this in a hotel restaurant! And: the breakfast buffet was extraordinary too! One of the best breakfasts we ever had. We loved to stay here!

This is for the Paleo Arctic Restaurant, we didn’t visit the Brasseriet. Sorry for confusion! Excellent dinner, delicious local beer, great service.

The hotel is new, modern, clean. We stayed in a business room which was spacious, facing the harbour, had everything we needed, including a Nespresso machine. The gym is great too. And then there's the breakfast, which was amazing, with such a wide variety of food for all tastes, truly remarkable.

I liked this hotel. I wasn't there to stay the night but had lunch there with some friends. It is an experience as soon as you enter. You were greeted immediately by the staff in a friendly manner and they made an effort for our concerns. We were led into the dining room and I have seldom seen such an atmospheric dining room. The toilets were also stylishly furnished, with a luxury feeling (gold fittings). By the way, the waitress was very friendly and open to small talk. She helped us choose the food. Really very good food and also in line with Norwegian hotel prices. Finally we ate a delicious children's cake. All in all it was a nice short stay in the rain at Svolvær.

This is for the restaurant. We went all-in and had the 7 course menu. It was one of the most spectacular, memorable dinners of my life. The food was unbelievable. The service was impeccable. Our waiter blew my mind asking if my diary sensitivity is to lactose or milk protein!! The only other person I ever met who knew the difference is my doctor, because she explained it to me. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Oh and have I mentioned the interior design? Your eyes won't know where to look. It's gorgeous.

Booked a standard room in this "5-star hotel". The room itself was as expected, even though there were lots of big cables clearly visible under the bed. However, no basic amenities were provided, such as slippers, toiletries (only shampoo and body wash) or glasses... Customer service underwhelming and long faces at the reception. Positive note – breakfast was very rich and delicious. Not sure how this can be a five star hotel.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Clean, check-in/out as smooth as it can be, personnel highly professional, nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet…mind blowing. Nice rooms with superb view. Very tastefully furnished. Very well equipped gym as well. All of this for a reasonable price. I couldn’t have asked for more

Great location. Great breakfast. Comfortable room. Reserved the room more than 6 months in advance. Upon arrival we were allocated a different room. Had to pressure the front desk to correct this.

Location and Rooms are excellent. Downside for location are the absolute limited number of parking spots for Hotel guests. Public parking close to the hotel is not free. Service was great the first night, food quality amazing… Then the Buses arrived and it became abysmal… not enough staff, waiting long times to get served, breakfast was chaotic with the staff running to fill up the plates. The organized bus travelers should be seated in their own area and not have to intrude on the normal guests… definitely ruined the experience after knowing how it was before the bus invasion.

The good - better than your average hotel, good size room and bath, nicely furnished, friendly/helpful check-in staff, great BF, good wifi, great location, excellent food. The bad - no free parking, snobby bartender, inattentive restaurant wait staff.
