Great fishermen style duplex units that were ideal for us as a couple. The restaurant on premise at the reception building, which has waterfront views, was fantastic. Amazing meal! The menu is limited each evening, so reservations were recommended. We walked in on night one without issue, but it helps the kitchen be more prepared with reservations and any food allergies ahead of time. The breakfast includes your typical spread of Norwegian staples, but some alternating menu items daily, such as various smoked fish and gluten free options (by a guest request perhaps). There are two rows of room units available and we opted for the waterfront views, which were great for spotting northern lights to know when to head out and look towards the stars. There is a nearby museum and gallery as well, but in winter months it was closed during the weekend. It's a short drive to downtown Kabelvåg and about 10 minutes to Svolvær.

Beautiful rorbuhotel in a great location! 10 minutes drive from Svolvaer, much quieter and intimate. Very close to Lofoten Museum and Aquarium. The view is amazing, and the rorbu interiors wonderful, I'd love to live in it!!

During my four-night stay at the hotel for a science conference in September 2023, the spectacular natural setting and satisfying breakfasts were certainly highlights. However, the disappointing dinners of small, watery soup portions were particularly disheartening after long days of work and hiking. The cleanliness and completeness of the cottages were commendable, but the practicality of accommodating four strangers in a small, two-bedroom space was questionable. It was also somewhat surprising that the cottage has not had any room service for the duration of our stay and some cleaning would’ve offered more comfort considering that the 4 strangers were sharing 1 bathroom. The close proximity led to an awkward experience. Moreover, the noise level in the dining room became increasingly unbearable over the extended stay, hindering successful interactions. It was puzzling that the hotel didn't allow guests to use the spacious café/bar area for dinner. This area could have offered a much more pleasant environment for scientific collaboration and networking, enhancing the overall conference experience.

This was a great stay for us. Just outside of Svolvaer (10 minute drive) but feels really remote. the cabin was spacious and although dated, very pleasant (some cabins are on the water, others not). Pretty location on small fjord with plenty of mountains in the view. The breakfast was very good. We also ate at the restaurant which was expensive but very good quality. The staff was exceptional! Front desk person was just so helpful and pleasant (forgotten her name - short graying hair and glasses), and Kai in the restaurant was extremely good. She deserves a raise.

We enjoyed our stay in nyvågar rorbuhotell! This lovely rorbuer hotel has an amazing on site restaurant. All cabins have the same layout which consists of 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathroom. Perfect for family! You get a breakfast basket from the restaurant in the morning, enjoy it in your own cozy cabin and return it afterwards. Self serve laundry available for 40 kr/cycle. Overall very satisfying experience. Will definitely come back in the future.

I dreamt of going to the Lofoten Islands and staying in a rorbu like these ones for a few years. The stay Nyvagar Rorbuhotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were super friendly, location is awesome, houses are equipped with everything one needs, and breakfast was superb. I totally recommend it.

This is a review for the Spa only, as we did not spend the night here. The spa was great! Amazing relaxation for a couple or small group of people with majestic views. It is an indoor outdoor spa with a changing room/shower, indoor relaxation lounge, hottub, sauna and possibility to take a dip in the ocean! It had just snowed last night, so we got to enjoy the beautiful lightly snow-covered archipelago of Lofoten in great weather. The proseccos we enjoyed in the hottub were definately icing on the cake! Bathrobes, towels and slippers are provided. I recommend reading through the rules on the website before enjoying the spa, as these were not mentioned further when paying at the reception. I also recommend arriving at least 15min beforehand to get the full 2h time to experience the spa. I would rate my experience here 4.5/5. The best part is definately the price. 400NOK per person for all of this during 2h is definately priceworthy. To get the full 5/5 staff could for example: - shovel the hottub area and hottub steps from snow - remind the guests of the rules and any practicalitirs when arriving - be more salesoriented about drinks and any snacks etc. that guests might be inclined to want

Aamiainen erittäin hyvä, paras mitä olen koskaan syönyt! Mökki oli tunnelmallinen ja maisemat olivat kohdillaan. Erittäin tunnelmallinen paikka majoittua. Kohteesta oli myös lyhyt matka Svolvaerin keskustaan. Pikkukauppa oli myös lähellä ja myöhään auki. Hinta oli aika korkea. Mutta kyllä sen ymmärtää kun kyse oli hyvästä mökistä hyvällä sijainnilla Lofooteilla heinäkuussa pahimpaan turistiaikaan.

Great hotel, location and service from all the team! Rooms / cottages are fully equipped and very cozy. The hotel has a great restaurant and a great bar. Excellent breakfast as well. We would surely repeat!

We had a very nice cabin unfortunately only for one night. A bit driven also by the price level which is even for Norways on the higher end. Location is very nice and the service excellent. The restaurant was creating a bit mixed impressions - the starter was excellent - main course okish and dessert was bad due to icecream was more an iceblock to be hammered. It was replaced but on this level I woudl have expected that the chef of the kitches take more care (only ~6 guests so not busy).

One of the best places I have ever stayed in. Impeccable apartments, fantastic service, friendly, service minded helpful staff and the most incredible facilities. We loved having breakfast at the lodge and then returning after a long day of ski touring for some time in the jacuzzi, sauna and for a dip in the arctic ocean. Highly recommend this incredible spot

Fantastic hotel - and meals were great too. Lovely staff who really cared. Wifi in rooms was a bit flakey.

Everything was great: landscape around the hotel is amazing, cabin was very nice and comfy, and very good breakfast. The staff was also very helpful: I booked for the next week by mistake, and they found a solution for us without issue! Thanks again, I will definitely come back!

Nice location with seaview. Excellent breakfast. Very welcoming staff. We will come back for sure if we travel again to Lofoten Islands!
