This place is disgusting. I’m only giving it a ‘1’ rating because I can’t give a ‘zero’. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in - that’s not an exaggeration, it’s the truth. It was booked for me by work, and the only reason I stayed the first night is because it was too late in the day to sort out anywhere else. The room was booked as a double - but there’s only space for a double bed pushed against the wall with a walkway down the side. At best it’s a small single room. The cheap laminate floor was filthy, and covered with marks and scuffs. The room stank of fags and incense sticks (they’ve clearly lit the incense to try to hide the smell of cigarettes - the burnt ends of the sticks were stuck into the side of a plug socket on the wall, and on a shelf in the bathroom - but it hadn’t worked, it still stank). There was a cigarette butt on the window ledge, and cigarette ash on the bathroom shelf. The mattress on the bed was basically just springs with a bit of material over the top - really uncomfortable. The bottom sheet had a couple of unidentified brown stains on it. I slept on top of the duvet (slightly more comfortable, but could still feel the springs on the mattress through it). The only soap in the bathroom was a part-used bar left by the last occupant of the room - complete with their pubic hairs on it. Only one of the three lights in the bathroom worked. but it’s probably a good job, because it meant that the mould in the shower tray wasn’t really visible in the gloom. The toilet seat was loose. There were bits of hair all over the wash basin. I didn’t bother having a shower, because I suspect I’d have caught something in the process. There were used tissues on the floor under the bed. The smoke detector had someone’s sock over it (presumably the smoker whose dog-ends and ash are in the room). I went out to find a late-night bite to eat, and when I got back it took me about five minutes of wrestling with a faulty front door lock to be able to get back into the hotel (no staff around to open for me). For a while I thought I was going to be locked out. If my gear hadn’t still been up in the room, in all honesty I’d have given up and slept in the car.

Absolutely disgusted with the attitude I received from the staff here! First and very last time I ever come to this hotel! 25 pound per person for a single room with no bathroom nor a toilet! Then me and my partner were moved to a double room that again didn’t have a toilet or bathroom but had a sink?! Cigarette burns on the bed sheets, hair on the bed sheets. The floor was badly chipped, horrible smell and piping full of dirt and dust and to top it off there was no heating in my room all night it was that cold I slept with two coats on as I refused to sleep under the sheets due to the uncleanliness!! Regardless of not sleeping under the sheets it should have been warm enough to sleep in just my pj’s. I told a member of staff before hand that I have a chronic condition all over my body so they were informed but yet I was put in a room that was freezing, my joints had seized up due to the cold as that’s an effect my condition gives when it’s too cold. The floors were stinking not just in my room but in the hallways aswel. When I complained to a member of staff in the morning, he didn’t seem to care at all even when I repeated myself about my condition. No apologies at all! I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

We knew this would be a basic hotel, but this hotel was a shocker! Bathroom stank of sewage and if we were brave enough to take a shower, we couldn’t anyway as there were no towels. Mattress had blood stains and we weren’t even convinced the sheets had been changed since the last guests. The skirting boards were rotten and mouldy and didn’t have any windows even though it was described as ‘sea view’. Seriously considered sleeping in the car. We couldn’t wait to get home and disinfect our very existence.

You get what you pay for just be grateful for the sheet with burn hole in it, single pillows no thicker than a paperback novel, dirty floors, toilet seat not fitted properly and something that was in some past life a mattress. I can however confirm that it does have inner springs and many of them. PS If the en-suite floor had seen a mop in the last 3 months I would donate £10 to a charity of your choice. My partner says 6 months.

Sadly we went here because there was no other hotels left. Our door didn't lock. We slept with our clothes on as the window didn't shut and it was freezing. It was dirty. The pillows were so thin. Toilet was breaking. Floor was sticky. I'm really looking forward for it being on one of those tv shows for hotels because it needs it.

Good location, close to city centre and bus station. Right outside the beach. It's very basic, but you get what you pay for. The sink in the room and the tv were a nice touch. No bedbugs, and I was able to have a decent sleep. The tea, coffee and kettle were a nice addition. Great view of the sea. Feels like student accommodation, if you're okay with this then you'll be fine. Cons: Although they smelled clean, the bedsheets were stained. Paper-thin walls, you can hear everything from the room next to you. I think there were blood stains on the night table. Some of the occupants seemed sketchy. The bed was basically springs covered by some cloth, and even the slightest movement made squeaky noises. There was only one shared shower fro what I remember and I felt uncomfortable using it. I also had to share a toilet. Finally, the accommodation smelled weird.

Was unable to stay at the hotel due to coronavirus restrictions. After contacting the hotel they told me I would get a refund. Have now been chasing this matter since April (it is December now) and have had all my emails ignored, have had booking.com emails on my behalf ignored and whenever I call up there is never anyone available and/or willing to help me. Judging by the hotels extremely poor management of this situation I would expect the customer service to be terrible so would not recommend. -- If you have to stay here, I would recommend never paying up front

I've had the worst night I could ever have in a "hotel" 1- there was no sounds isolation between the walls so I heard all the music the next room played all the night 2- the shower didn't work at all so I had to take a shower with water on -1degree 3- the breakfast supposed to be included but in the morning the reception who also tend to be the chef, said my hand is broken so I can't make the breakfast. I'm 100% sure if I would sleep outside, I would enjoy it more.

I booked a room for New Year’s Eve, we booked here because it was cheap and close to town. For the price we weren’t expecting the ritz but a basic CLEAN room. It was awful. I parked round the corner while we unloaded the car, once in we were given the key to our room . The room was big, two singles and a double. However it was filthy inside. There was dust under the bed, on the bed frame and window siles. The bathroom had hair on the tiles of the sink! At that point we should had left. My friend had a shower and we started to get ready for the evening, however the water was trickling out so she couldn’t even have a wash. On our way out I asked the guy at the reception where I could park which was safe, he told me I could park out the front, I said what about the signs? He said it’s fine. So I moved my car out of the residential space and onto single yellows outside the hotel. I say hotel loosely. More like hostel. We had a good night out and after the walk back we arrived back to the “hotel” it took us 15 minutes to get in as the lock was dodgy. After an ok nights sleep, ( the beds smelt musty) I woke up to see I had a parking ticket on my car! Upon leaving I raised my concerns with an older man at the reception desk. I told him about the state of our room and he explained that because yesterday was the first time they had opened the cleaners hadn’t showed up so no rooms were cleaned, I told him that was disgusting and would not have been allowed. I then told him about the lack of water and no towels, he said the water pressure drops when others use the showers, and that the laundry was late yesterday and I should have asked for them. I don’t see how it’s our responsibility to chase up simple things when we’ve paid to stay somewhere. I also told him about the parking ticket and how I was given reassurance that parking out the front would be fine. He explained that because it’s New Year’s Day the young guy probably thought it would be Sunday hours?! I’m sorry but probably isn’t going to pay the £35 fee. All in all a rubbish stay, avoid at all costs. Never again would I stay in such a dive! 1* as I couldn’t give none!

Great staff at here. Dave who works the evening shift gave me some great places to go to as it was my first time in Swansea. Gave me directions to places also. Room wasn't too bad for £67 for 2 nights as I was upgraded to a Double Bed as no Single Bed's where available. Only downfall is the state of the rooms really, could do with being refurbished as it's old and dated. Upon checking out the guy who took room keys from me didn't have the best attitude towards his customer, tried having a chat but was short answeres so left there and then. Would be back to this hotel though for the price.
