What a lovely caravan/camping park this is. My first time camping and the setting and the facilities were above expectations. The setting - wow Lake Macquarie is just stunning and is the most amazing backdrop to your visit. The facilities - friendly management, a shop with very reasonable prices, very clean and well serviced amenities block, well spaced out campsites with picnic tables and firepits dotted throughout. You won't go wrong staying here.

Beautiful place to stay! Jo and staff were amazing, happy to answer questions and make you feel welcome. Cabin was clean and tidy with easy access to the lake and walking trails close by. Will definitely be back 👌

We really enjoyed our visit on Site 33 at the waterfront. It rained a bit but it didn’t matter because we didn’t get wet and it sure didn’t bother the visitors!! We will be back! If you want to chill out with the locals this is the place. Great amenities too.

Nice caravan and unit park at the end of the Wangi peninsula. It’s a bit remote but in a good location. Be aware there are camping/ van sites available in the bush just past the main campground that are in a great location and I’m surprised I wasn’t offered one of those instead of the boring slab sites. Btw, it’s pronounced ‘wun-gee’, not ‘Wang-e’ apparently. Who knew.

Very nice and beautiful place next to a lake, beautiful views from the campsite. Clean toilets and showers, very friendly receptionist. You can see many birds here (lorikeets, ducks, pelicans, sulfur-crested cockatoo, kookaburras, …) and it’s a very quiet place. There are also nice fire places! The only problem is that the clothes line is directly under a tree where many birds are sitting… maybe they could find a better location for it 😅

Loved our stay here. What a location! Right on the lake, shady trees, heaps of bird life, great network of walking tracks adjacent to the van park, and cheap drinks at the Wangi Workers Club. What more could you ask for! Thanks to Jo from the office for adding so much to my knowledge of the local area. We will be back!!

Bad things// Old holiday or caravan park. For 3 days no one clean or fill up the soap box 2 toilets and 2 showers for men close to us. 47A and 47 not for tent only for caravan (2hours just to set up the tent and gazebo) rocks area not good for tent. Not good for swimming as the seaweed everywhere. Not bad things// fishing spots. Ramp not good but still u can use it for small boat or jetski. The lady behind the desk nice and helpful. Gas BBQ every where. Kids maybe enjoy with kayak and bicycle. 5min away it s IGA shop and petrol station. Finally if u ask me would you come back again or not I ll say NOT.

What an awesome place for views of the lake it’s a basic park but that’s perfect if that’s what your after. Sites are large with power and water. The park is right on the water so boat ramp and pier are all here for all the great water sports. Ample kitchen showers etc. expect to enjoy lovely breezes and birds with resident ducks.
