I love Banburys. It is a luxury down in west Devon to have even a small Department store. It stocks all manner of gorgeous items, in a relatively small building, including lots that you fall in love with, but do not need! They have a lift , toilet and a cafe too. Staff are very cheerful and friendly and will try to get you what you would like.

Beautiful people beautiful store! My late Nana loved to shop here when she visited us in North Devon and loved the service and selection of stylish goods. Bought my wedding suit from here and very happy. I had an issue with one of my items and Banbury's attentive staff sorted it out straight away, proper.

Love the lunch meal deals, cheese scones & salad, and cheese with coleslaw in summer or soups and toasted sandwiches now, very tasty and looked so nice on the plate.

An outstanding old fashioned department store. Selling very good quality goods across homewares, clothing, cosmetics from high end brands and quality gifts. Nice and bright, clean. Great, welcoming staff. Upstairs is a nice cafe area and clean loos.

Went to the Lancôme counter to look for a new foundation for my wedding. The lovely lady who served me had a fantastic knowledge of the products and was therefore able to recommend the right foundation for me. She spent time prepping my skin and applying the make up on my face so I could see how it looked, and explained all the steps. I was so pleased with everything, it was a lovely experience. Thank you Banbury’s!

What a wonderful Makeup session yesterday At Banburys . Katrina who did my makeup was so talented , professional,knowledgeable and friendly. I was so impressed with how Katrina did my makeup, l felt amazing afterwards and couldn’t believe how natural it looked. I would thoroughly recommend her All the staff from Jackie who was there to meet and greet everyone, and the team who were doing the sessions were so friendly, professional and talented . Well done everyone

We attended a makeup masterclass! 4 of us mums took the afternoon off for some self care and what a treat we had. Buck’s Fizz and treats on arrival (and stocked up throughout our hour) and a face make over! I had Sarah looking after me and not only was she kind, funny and realistic with my wants, she was extremely knowledgeable! All four of us left feeling pampered and loved! And let’s not forget the amazing goodie bag!!!

I would throughly recommend the make up master class. I am not very good with make up and did not want product I would not use. Katrina was amazing advising on what to use no pushy sales pitch. Lovely relaxed atmosphere I will definitely go in September to learn the autumn look

Attended the make over master class, a cost of £10 (redeemable) and it was fantastic. I had the lovely Ashleigh from Clinique and we went through from cleaning to lipstick, very relaxed, set up in a good area, professional, informative, fun thank you enjoyed and picked up tips on a new products which I purchased and ready to use. Would enjoy again or other events of similar vain. And the goody bag is fantastic that in itself is worth more than £10, so loads of lovely goodies to pamper myself with. Thank you all involved

Nice place!my wife ordered both of us one white and one brown bread cheese sandwich.They had one white available but had to make the brown sandwich for me.But a few minutes later turned up with another white cheese sandwich! didn't want to make a fuss so I ate it ?

Always a great selection of goods here. I went in for face cream and though they didn't have the same as before staff really kind and helpful and I bought a really nice l'occitaine cream

The lady on the Phase Eight counter took her time to help my wife sort out an outfit for a special occasion. She was very grateful for the personal service and would highly recommend to anyone.

An absolute delight. Like stepping back in time. Perfume counter lady was very helpful and restaurant team were so friendly. This store is a little gem. If you are in Barnstaple it's a must visit. We visited store three times during our break. Clothes are lovely quality 🤩reminds me of "are you being served" as a fan that's a compliment 😷

3 of us attended the Make-Up Masterclass yesterday. We were given a little talk of each of the stages of the skincare routine, and how your skin benefitted from them. Cleanse twice ladies!! Products were then picked to match our skin type, and if there was 2 or more that could be used, we were offered the choice. My skin felt amazing after the skincare section. Ashleigh was looking after me, and she then talked me through the make-up, asking what I liked and showing me where to place the products like bronzer and highlighter to get a better look. I was surprised how little product I needed, compared to what I normally use particularly the moisturiser and foundation. I bought nearly everything that was used on me, even going back to get the eyeshadows after being persuaded by my friends that I couldn't possibly live without them!! It was a thoroughly good time, and we're looking forward to coming back for an Autumn one 😀 Oh! And there was prosecco - bonus!

Had a brilliant experience at the make up masterclass on Saturday. Learnt so much, gained confidence and had an expertly made up face at the end! Was even given a goodie bag of samples to go home with. Thank you to the cosmetics team, especially Katrina.

Visited the store for a Makeup masterclass with Ashleigh. It was very informative and I was shown new ways to make the make up look more natural and also how to tone down the rosacea on my face

Just bought a few bits from the menswear section - Jenny could not have been more pleasant, patient and helpful. She made it a very positive experience and I am sure we'll be back again soon - largely down to her excellent service.

Always shop here when I come to barnstaple. Love the store,and staff have always been great. Decided to go in the cafe today for coffee. What a mistake the most rude and unfriendly woman served us. She glared and was horrible. Really bad mannered. Was it because I didn't have a mask on I wonder. Coffee was awful too. The cafe was empty apart from 3 other people. I can't say I'm surprised.
