Driving on the E4 and looking for a place to have lunch? This is now the obvious pit stop for our family. Extremely cosy place with greens and flowers covering the whole outside sitting area. Friendly staff, and the best smörgåstårta (swedish sandwich cake) I have ever had. They are licensed to serve alcohol, but they have several tasty non-alcoholic lemonades and drinks too.

Very nice restaurant with authentic Swedish sandwich-pie! The staff was so friendly and very fun to chat with! They let us taste some of their ice cream that they’re releasing this summer and we can only recommend because it was so tasty! 😊

Great quality smörgåstårta to a good price. 🙂 I’ve tried three different types - some are more classic and some are more innovative so it’s great for both traditionalists and foodies craving a new experience. Looking forward to having this concept in other cities in the future!

What a find!! Can’t believe we only just found this place, a new favourite lunch spot in Övik. Lovely plant filled patio and really kind staff, food is delicious too! Wow!

This was such a lucky find on the first day of our two week stay in Övik. We loved it so much that we returned at least half a dozen times while we were there! Everything we tried was so fresh and wonderful, from the shrimp wraps to the savory pies to the salads. And of course the desserts were so fantastic that we usually had to take a second one home with us. The owner and staff were extremely welcoming and friendly from the very first moment we arrived. Övik is fortunate to have such a high quality cafe, and we were sad to leave it behind.

We stopped for lunch a windy day in July. The wraps were good, especially considering the pricing. We enjoyed the atmosphere created by the variety of plants and garden furniture, which somehow made up for the not so spectacular view over the adjacent parking lot. A minus for many dishes on the menu being “sold out”, despite us arriving just two hours after opening. There were only a few tables inside, so the weather should be considered before visiting.
