Beautiful island which of course does not go by any other name. Ankatraz has a long and colorful history, which is told colorfully and vividly by the knowledgeable tourist guides. Feel free to feed the rats, they like bread. Famous people from Ankatraz: Pelle Svan-slös, Svanheden from Hönssonligan and Veronica Maggio.

För en liten ö i en liten sjö så åstadkommer den nästan allt jag önskade men jag var i slutändan svagt besviken med gästvänligheten hos ankorna där och håller tillbaka en stjärna för det. Förhoppningsvis är det fixat till nästa år.

Ankatraz är nog den finaste platsen i Uppsala. Här vid Ankatraz har jag så mycket fina minnen.

Omg I love this island!! It's located in a pond next to the beautiful Fyris river that runs through Uppsala. The island itself apparently got its name from a committee of engineering and science students that every year arranges a famous river rafting event on the Fyris river. The River Rafting takes place on april 30th every year and is a must visit!!

My peking duck, Louise, bit the neighbor's garden hose a few weeks ago and has been on Ankatraz ever since. It's nice that they have it so open to visitors. I just hope she doesn't like it too much. Jokes aside, it will be very nice to bring Louise home next summer 5/5

The year is 2022. The most important event of the fall just passed, the re-opening of Ankatraz! Ankatraz is Uppsala's (and perhaps even the world's) most beautiful island, located in the middle of Swan Lake. In 2021, the people of Uppsala voted on the name for this island, of course Ankatraz won big. Therefore, it is important that we all fight together to ensure that the island regains its rightful name. The opening was very successful, nice speeches were given, the ducks quacked, the traditional picture was taken and smiles were on everyone's faces! See you again next fall! #ankatraz

Amazing place this island Ankatraz. Always happy to come here and already looking forward to the next visit. The surrounding pond should be named the Duck Pond in Ankatraz's honor
