Unreasonably overpriced for the overall quality of the stay. Great location in the nice central parts of town. Breakfast was fresh and with some options but limited to sandwiches and cerals (plus boiled eggs). Rooms are a mix of old (mostly nice but finnicky) furniture and renovated spaces. Good beds with firm matresses. The restaurant serves some really tasty food (at a matched price), but took ages to serve when there were barely any other guests. Speaking of the restaurant: whatever you do, ask for a room far away from it. I can only imagine what it must be like on a busy night, but even when it's slow, the staff were making a lot of noise dealing with trays, dishes, cleaning equipment and so on - even playing music from their phones - at 10 PM, as well as smoking just by an exit. With the 1 cm gap underneath the door to the room, all that noise and smell came right inside.

Very charming/ old fashioned hotel. Unfortunately I had a bad start to my stay. Booked for three nights. On arrival got a room that wasn’t cleaned. Took time before I got a new room. Booked even that dinner should be included. According to the confirmation on my booking I could choose what ever I wanted for dinner but this wasn’t what I got. Got a very nice meal but didn’t get to choose what I wanted.

Room was not clean upon arrival at 16:40. But they did clean it and gave well appreciated condolences. Markus is the best, don’t be shy with the tips!

A wonderful place to stay in Hedemora! The staff was extremely nice and helpful! The rooms were clean and comfortable as well. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip.
