We
stayed
just
a
few
minutes
away
from
this
wonderful
National
Park.
We
entered
from
the
south
entrance
with
its
huge
parking
lot,
which
was
almost
full
on
that
day
(but
free
of
charge).
There
are
some
good
and
useful
information
signs
just
at
the
entrance
and
a
handful
of
(smelly)
bathrooms.
And
pretty
much
your
first
and
last
chance
to
get
rid
of
your
garbage.
There's
also
a
nice
viewpoint
already
here,
the
only
one
suitable
for
strollers
and
wheelchairs.
We
followed
the
well
marked
Höga
Kustenleden
trail
up
to
Slåttdalsskrevan,
the
famous
crevice
which
cuts
through
the
mountain
for
about
200m.
The
trail
itself
ist
pretty
flat
but
with
some
steep
stairs
/
sections
once
in
a
while.
Some
parts
you'll
walk
on
wooden
panels/boards.
But
it's
nowhere
near
wheelchair
or
stroller
accessable.
Good
hiking
boots
are
a
must,
since
it
can
be
wet
and
damp
even
on
a
dry
summer
day.
Some
sections
of
the
trail
are
covered
with
stones
in
several
sizes,
so
bring
a
good
balance
with.
We
traveled
with
our
Engllish
Bulldog
and
she
made
it
to
Slåttdalsskrevan
and
back,
even
had
fun
doing
so
(into
the
Slåttdalsskrevan
I
went
alone
though,
the
climb
was
to
high
and
steep).
A
fantastic
park
and
very
much
one
of
the
highlights
we've
visited
on
our
Sweden
Road
Trip.
For
us
it
was
the
perfect
place
to
enter
the
park,
since
we
were
so
close
to
it.
And
it's
also
a
good
place
to
start
your
hike
towards
the
Slåttdalsskrevan,
which
is
also
accessable
from
the
north.
