On the south end of beautiful Lake Siljan you'll find this gem. A wonderful nature reserve with a watchtower, some shops and restaurant. We came for a walk and this place offers to trails with fantastic views over the lake and the town. The small trail more or less just goes around the watchtower, but is suitable for almost everyone. And there's some game/quiz for kids to enjoy. It's only about 500-600m long (Bumble-Bee trail). For a warm-up we followed this trail. It has a great vista-point (with a bench) with wonderful views. But after that we followed to longer (1.6km) Forest Trail. It is pretty narrow at some points, so it's definitely not for everybody (even less for strollers - impossible). But we really enjoyed the nature here, you're really right inside the forest. There were almost no visitors that day, which added to the nice experience. Just us and the nature (and our dog, which loved it as well). Interesting was the part about the burnt forest here - with plates explaining the fact in swedish and english. It's no the biggest place and the walk are quite short, but it's a wonderful place, perfect to spend an afternoon. Free parking and no entrance fee. Bathrooms are to be found in the informative visitors centre.

Great view and niche little showrooms but one cannot take dogs inside or on the tower 😢

Free visitor's center where you have a perfect view over the Siljan lake. You can also learn about the history of the lake/area and about the wild animals living in Sweden. Very interesting and modern building, the staff is incredibly friendly as well! Must visit.

A great place both inside the museum but also outside for families even with small children. A very nice view. A place to grill

New viewing tower is just amazing, architecturally beautiful especially the stairwell shaft and viewing areas, easy access for prams and wheelchairs with lift to the enclosed viewing platform, spectacular 360° panorama, and unbelievably entry is free!

A great nature trail with kids friendly routes as well. You feel the nature inside and there weren't many visitors the day we were there. There was a restaurant which was closed and the watch tower was under construction. We even saw a snake (probably adder) which is the only poisonous snake in Sweden. There are good view points and overall it's a very nice park to spent a day.

Beautiful view from the new tower! And a good exercise walking the stairs 😅 There is an elevator all the way up, and slim wheelchairs to enter the top outside-lookout. There is even part of the guard wall built in glass, so that kids, and others can see as well. Friendly personal, and the exhibit is fun for a wide wariety of ages, with interactive elements, listening stations, and so on. Some of the exhibits were broken, and left to deter the experience a bit though.

Marvellous views from the tower. Fun activities for children and adults. Nice learning experience. If you can hike the hill or drive up the hill you'll experience breathtaking sunsets and a deep connection to nature.

Several great lookout spots. Nice exhibition of Dalarnas wild life. Appreciated by the kids. The nature trail is standard swedish forest, nothing out of the ordinary.

We love it here - we come every year for a nature trail with the kids. Engaging explanations of local geology, flora and fauna, and the tower is always a highlight. Highly recommended for families x
