The SPA is good but the restaurant suffers from ignorant serving- and kitchen staff. From being 5-star, I think it has really collapsed during the pandemic. Careless and strangely composed "tasteless" dishes

Great hotel place with a perfect beach location. However I would advise to avoid the restaurant. They seem under pressure to have too many dishes on the menu, with a buffet, a 3 courses menu and an extensive à la carte offering. The result was a beef tartare that still smelled fridge with little to no seasoning, a piece of beef that came well done instead of rare, a fish with so much salt, it was inedible. The dessert was a stale biscuit base with some jam as the bottom layer and a dry meringue on top. Simply not worth your time when there are much better food places in the area.

Beautiful location right on the coast. Spa is very good, includes pool, 50 & 80 degree saunas, steam room, ice plunge & a jacuzzi. The spa is open between 7-11 & you can book a 2.5 hour time in the afternoon/evening. Rooms are okay but not sound proof, can hear everything in the hallways. The free breakfast is very lacking, doesn’t really have vegan or lactose free options unfortunately. There are gluten free options for bread etc. Hot food included bacon, meatballs & sausages, pancakes (lactose), eggs (lactose) so don’t expect much there. There are some cold options atleast, and the smoothies were good (vegan friendly).

A classic beach hotel at a unique location, with newly updated interior and a spa. The cold water sauna combination was our favourite spa options. Good food and friendly staff

We came for a 2-day break from work and just wanted to have a relaxing time. We found what we came for, Varbergs Kusthotell is one of the best spa resorts that you can find in Sweden. If you come here, don’t leave without trying Thalasso Spa and a massage treatment that is suitable for you. Alongside the spa, hotel comes forward with beautiful beach and outstanding sunsets. Having a little short hike is also a cheery on top. All in all, the stuff was very friendly and helpful and the food was incredible. Truly the best spa resort in Sweden.

Really the best hotel in Varberg even in Sweden! The staff are so nice and room is great, everything is perfect.

Just OK Not worth the money we spent on dayspa, very little things to experience. Small hot pools and nothing exciting. Very little spa. Last time we tried Asia spa in centrum of Varberg. And it had a lot more experiences. But this spa is nice if you stay here, didn't try the food.

Our favorite getaway place when everyday life calls for peace, coziness and togetherness. Great location next to the coast. Varberg center is only approx. a half hour walk along the coast. Modern rooms, wonderful spa section and very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended

We went there for lunch so i did not see the rooms. But the lunch was lovely and very tasty. Lots of things we could choose from, warm and cold. The staff was nice and friendly and i like there humor. Unfortunately there sweets for dessert looked nice but the tasted was a bit lesser. But they had pancakes with marple sitio and they where very nice

Decent hotel very nicely located right on the beach. Weird lack of information in the rooms, nothing about any of the services offered at the hotel 🤷‍♂️ Not that impressed by the spa area for that entrance fee but the sauna by the water is great! Quite good breakfast if they'd just get rid of the silly juice order tablet that only creates lines.

Our room was very big and modern. The bathroom a bit older. But both were clean and nice! Service in the restaurant was excellent and food was also really good. Nice choices between vegetarian and meat, also adjusted to allergies and some special wishes. Breakfast buffet was huge and nothing was missing, everything from pancakes to smoothies. Spa area was amazing, all clean and big! 3x sauna, 3x pools and amazing wellness treatments.

We went twice. The first time everything was perfect and professional. The second time… Everything went wrong Wrong direction to our room, wrong room as well The reception completely messed up and gave us access to an occupied room. We got in and people were in the bathroom, never happened to me before, SHAME We couldn’t believe what just happened, unfortunately this wasn’t the end. They forgot to give us robes and towels for the spa and our watch to access it as well. We had to get it by ourselves and ask twice.. They gave us cards to replace the watches to access the spa but guess what.. the cards were not working and I once again I had to go to the reception to fix it. We were extremely disappointed because the first time everything went super smooth. I also need to mention that the hotel made a financial gesture to make it up, which was appreciated and a professional/responsable solution. They apologised many times and were very sorry about everything that happened.

The rooms were beautiful however there was no minibar, coffee or tea. The spa was nice but for the price I expected more. The restaurant was okay, food was good however the service was lacking. Overall a good experience but for the money and name they have I expected more.

Nice place to stay for a couple of nights. Good breakfast buffet and nice area around the hotel. The rooms are very small, only good for sleeping.

I give 1 star only to make the review stand out. All in all not a bad experience at all, food was amazing and would recommend. The rooms are big, comfy, well equipped. The bad part of the review is about the lack of protocols in case someone takes by misstake or steals your bathing coat in the spa. I had my credit card (maybe buy a drink while enjoying the spa) and my seeing glasses. The fact that i started having a headache and felt uncomfortable due to not seeing made the dinner not so enjoyable. The problem is in the fact that when I adressed my concert at the reception, the personel displayed a lack of protocol to deal with such situation. My advice is to have the bathcoats different sizes, differently marked by size, gender, etc and the coathangers to have more distance between them as to make it easier to notice if someone takes yours by misstake. Another solution would be to have cameras looking only towards the hangers and acces to them if needed. That being said , the overall experience for me and the group was very good, but it would be better to have an insurance policy as i've been told by the staff that this is not the first time something like this happened.

We stayed here for three days and enjoyed it a lot. The location and spa area was very nice and quiet. I also liked the fruit/ tea station, but instead of using disposable cups, they could use hardplastic cups (for reuse)...! A big negative point is the restaurant. We were disappointed on both nights. On the first evening the food was cold and the service very disinterested. On the second evening we received our second course after 40 minutes. At least we got a free drink at the bar. All in all, it was a relaxing stay!

Really nice location. Rooms are very basic with no coffee machines, minibar or the like. The restaurant was severely understaffed so we waited a long time to be seated and for them to take our order but the food is nice. Overall it is a nice place for a short stay but doesn’t have any frills.
