A great way to spend a day! My husband is Swedish so we spend a lot of time there and like to find new things to see and do each time we visit. This time we decided to combine his interest in Viking history with my love for archaeology by booking the full day private viking tour. It ended up being a great experience. Our guide Jonathan was very knowledgeable and friendly, and we had a blast exploring Uppland with him.

I was on the Viking History tour - a tour I would highly recommend to anyone interested in Viking history, but also for people who want to see the outskirts of the city, the houses there and the surrounding area! Great views and above all very well told history and interesting knowledge. Our guide adapted to the group and answered every question, he also knew a lot of interesting facts. The whole trip passed very quickly and pleasantly! Many thanks to our wonderful guide Jonathan and of course to the great driver :)

Her friendly demeanor and willingness to assist added a warm and welcoming touch to the experience. Whether it was providing additional information or assisting with logistical arrangements, Bianca's presence enhanced the overall quality of the tour. What truly sets this tour apart is the personalized touch provided by Gabriel and Bianca. They went above and beyond to ensure that every participant had a memorable and enjoyable experience. Their warm and friendly personalities instantly made us feel welcome, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie among the guides, Bianca, and fellow participants. By the end of the day, it felt as though we had not only gained valuable insights into Viking history but also made lasting memories and friendships. The tour itself was meticulously crafted, showcasing various sites where significant Viking artifacts were discovered. Gabriel skillfully guided us through each location, providing detailed explanations and answering any questions we had. This tour was FANTASTIC! The places we visited were wonderful and fascinating, but what really made the tour was our guide, Emma. It was obvious that Emma was very passionate and knowledgeable of the tour content. She kept us entertained and really brought a sense of magic and wonder to the tour. I feel as though she created a real sense of what this time period was like! Thank you Emma for an awesome tour.

We LOVED our Swedish history tours! 10/10 if we come back to Stockholm we would use them again! Appreciated the offering of English tours and also that they did not cancel our tours even though we did not have the minimum amount of people! Great experience and knowledgeable guides!

My husband and I took the Private Tour: Swedish History Day Trip to World Heritage Candidate Markim-Orkesta from Stockholm. Well worth the time and money as the tour was excellent. We were provided pick up and drop off service from our hotel which was helpful. The two guides Angus and Jonathan added a personal touch to the tour and so much information we couldn’t get from a book or reading online. We saw not only ruins but historical sites, farms and churches. The two guides were knowledgeable, friendly and very professional. It was nice to get out of city and see some of country side. Highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful tour with Gabriel learning about a variety of Viking sites around Stockholm. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating as we were traveling with a toddler. We learned not only about Vikings but also some fun tidbits of local history as we passed by various areas of Stockholm.

Absolutely amazing custom/private with Johnathon (history expert) and Nadia (pHD in anthropology) we learned so much about a wide range to historical and cultural topics. We saw places we’d never have found on our own, or understood - their knowledge and professionalism was perfect!

Experienced an absolutely wonderful private walking tour during Summer of 2022, planned according to a special interest in folklore and herbalism. Such a highlight of my time in Sweden. Cannot recommend this company enough!

Wonderful Viking history tour with Gabriel, it was nice to explore the sights outside of Stockholm away from the crowds. Gabriel had so much knowledge and made the tour really engaging and interesting. Thank you!

The Public Swedish Royal and Nobility Castle Tour was excellent and our guide, Åsa, was very informative and a pleasure to spend the day with. We also enjoyed the Public Viking History Tour during a second full day and it was nice seeing the runestones in person and learning more about the history of vikings in the area.

The driver and guide were very nice and very knowledgeable. I loved how the driver (Johnathan) was a Viking enthusiast - you could tell he was passionate about the topic. The tour felt a bit hurried- little time for pictures. The guide seemed more interested in getting to Sigtuna then spending time on the runestones and tinget (sp?).. Overall, a bit pricey, but very informative.

I really like the idea of a guided tour through time with fun and insightful facts about our cultural past from ancient times. I was both intrigued and entertained about hearing stories and myths from the same landscape I was standing on as our guide told with conviction and passion. I enjoy history too and its interesting to see it being told to a modern public of all ages for a small price and resonable guided tour length. I had fun and I am sure many else can be equally entertained when being guided through the fascinating legends of the viking era.

We took the Swedish History and Countryside Tour which was a fantastic way to get a sense the landscape and history of the area north of Stockholm. Jonathan was extremely knowledgable about the history and we enjoyed learning about the Vikings, rune stones, and the early church in Sweden. We also enjoyed visiting a horse farm and chatting with the farmer.

Our experience was exceptional. Eric, our guide, picked us up at the right time from our hotel. No one else was on the tour so it was basically private. Eric was so informative and answered every question we asked intelligently. He was super informative and I wish we’d gone for the 8 hour rather than the 3 hour. If you like medieval history, this is just what you need. He changed my whole perspective on Viking history.

We had a wonderful evening with Emma, who shared her knowledge about the bloody and spooky history of Stockholm. The tour was rich in myths, anecdotes and historical facts. I can recommend it to tourists as well as locals! Thank you Emma!

I did three tours with this company since they had so much to offer with regard to tours with a historical background. I was very happy with all of them (Vikings Tour, Church History Tour, and Bloody Stockholm Tour) and would recommend them to anyone interested in Swedish history and its various aspects. All the guides were very nice and had lots of knowledge, the tours were organised very well, and it was made easy for us to reach all the places we visited. We never had far to walk and were even picked up at our hotels for the two tours that took place outside of Stockholm itself. I learned a lot, enjoyed myself thoroughly, and couldn't have been happier with the tours themselves and the very friendly and helpful way things were organised, including through email when I had questions. Highly recommended!

One of the highlights of my stay in Sweden was the full day Viking tour. Our guide Calle made the Vikings come alive and also shared a lot about culture and life in Sweden today. It was very interesting, we saw a lot of runestones, churches, cathedrals and also some viking graves. Calle made sure we were always comfortable and had the best recommendations for food. I highly recommend going and also taking the full day tour as Uppsala and Sigtuna are both very interesting and worth a visit.

Priceworthy and fact-filled tour about Swedish folklore. The tour had an entertaining vibe which balanced the good amount of information. Jonathan told us exciting (and sometimes even scary) stories from Swedish folk belief and the quite deranged (to modern ears) events and actions that Swedes took to protect themselves from magical creatures. I was on another of Jonathans tours four years ago but this was a completly different theme and experience, highly recommended!
