👍👍 I have been to Pink Panther ten or more times and I can honestly say it’s my favorite place in Cape Town. I’ve read some other reviews here about the music and I don’t agree with all of them. I love the music here - specifically when Karl or Bruce DJ. But I guess it’s all down to what type of music... People often mention club, music, staff, people, time, night, dance, safe, great, Pink,

I have been to Pink Panther ten or more times and I can honestly say it’s my favorite place in Cape Town. I’ve read some other reviews here about the music and I don’t agree with all of them. I love the music here - specifically when Karl or Bruce DJ. But I guess it’s all down to what type of music you like. I prefer house dance music, and those two spin it best. I always feel safe there, which I appreciate - YES, keep your phones put away...it’s South Africa, and people do pick pockets. It has nothing to do with the club itself, though. There is a lot of room to dance without being overcrowded, and I love the fact there are a ton of places to sit. That’s something you don’t find in a ton of dance clubs. It’s nice to find gay clubs where everyone is welcome and accepted - regardless of sexual identity. Drinks here are always the same price - no shady bartenders. And all of the bartenders are attentive and friendly. I always feel very welcome here. AND HELLO - the bathrooms are always CLEAN. Another rarity in a busy dance club. I’ll be back many more times for sure.

Truly awful nightclub. Rude bouncers, uninterested bar staff and the most terrible music / DJ'ing I've come across. There is no vibe/atmosphere. Reminds me of clubs from the 90's. Cramped, dirty, sticky and stinking of cigarette smoke as people are allowed to smoke inside clubs here, apparently. It gives the Cape Town "gay scene" a bad name.

Smoke, smoke and more smoke. Why on 2024 do you allow people to smoke inside a club and then have the fans blowing the smoke all over the dancefloor? It’s like being back in 1998. Disgusting and unacceptable.

This is by far the closest you going to get to a club vibe in cape town. Its always busy on a weekend. Music is definitely great to get your feet moving to the music. Dance floor is surrounded by lounges to relax on and rest your feet with designated smoking areas. Friendly service from the bartender in pink tights lol. Ive never seen any problems here at all.

I've wanted to visit this club since forever, so glad I finally got to do it while I was in Cape Town this weekend. The experience, music and staff are absolutely amazing. A real safe space for the LGBTQ community to be free.

Visited this club on Saturday night with my GF, this club has by far the best vibe and the best DJ and for a straight guy walking in that environment was strange, but i can tell you this this club is amazing, everyone just talking to everyone, friendly and lots of fun. Just one thing, the guy searching you when you come upstairs should just ease a little on the touching especially when he get to the back pockets. other then that no harm intended not everyone is gay comming up the stairs. Amazing club, Nice vibe, GF definitely liked it. Will see you guys again this Saturday.

What an awful experience at a night club!!! Stay away from this place. I was merely having a cigarette in the smoking area, and was told by a middle-aged man who was a member of staff to leave the area. After asking him why, he went on to tell me that he isn't going to tell me to leave again. While telling him I was just wanting to finish my smoke and then I'd leave he tried to punch me, at which point I had asked him why and did not fight back, he then attempted to punch me again, when I tried to defend myself, the bouncer had thrown me out while screaming 'Don't touch me!!', I did not touch him BTW. Awful night club and I would suggest that no one goes here because the staff will try and hit you for any reason they can think of. Stay away!!!

I used to love the place but after tonight after my fiancé was thrown acroos the room by a bouncer for only waiting for a friend in the bathroom im disgusted it was his first time there! And now we both feel unsafe in a "lgbt friendly" community. I tried to be civil and sort out the problem and the bouncers ignored me and didn't allow me back in. Im honestly terrified for pink candies futher if this is how they treat lgbt comunity.. i it is true what people warned me about that the place is just a drug den filled with with bouncer that arent their for your protection!

I love this place , however with the R100 entrance fee the management can at least install Wifi, it would be great especial for Visiting Tourist who might need a Uber or Bolt back to their Hotel. I don't blame you for being robbed by the Cab i used that was parked in your club street but i am just suggesting. It's funny because before i left i asked the hostile ladies at the entrance if they have wifi i can use unfortunately no and i got the cab outside the cab that robbed me phone, money and ATM card that was used to fill the Petrol .

My experience at Club Pink Panther was highly disappointing. Despite seeking a good time, enjoying the atmosphere, and engaging positively, we were abruptly ousted. The security staff, displaying a severe lack of comprehension, not only failed to protect the LGBTQ+ community but also demonstrated outright hostility. This club, purportedly a safe haven, proved far from it. The security personnel showed a complete lack of understanding, leaving us without any opportunity to enjoy ourselves. The unwarranted removal from the premises underscored a distressing lack of empathy and protection for the LGBTQ+ patrons, making it abundantly clear that this club failed to live up to its supposed inclusive reputation.

I visited the The Pink Candy Night Club last night & the evening was just as i remembered it in the early months of opening when the Pink Panther first opened it's doors to the public. The door men and staff were ultra friendly & helpful, the music was brilliant (hat off to the DJ). The only disappointment is that the lights came on at 3:30 & the music died & after just spending R80 on a double G & T, i found myself being ushered towards the entrance to 'Drink up & get out'..... This put a real damper on the evening and the overall experience, especially when the closing times are advertised at 4am not 3:30am.. apart from this great evening. Thanks!

My friend and my phone was both stolen out of the club. We did not dance with our phones, and was only joined at the table by the staff. The staff were Constantly at the tables, mopping and cleaning ALL the time. Every 60 seconds someone was there and eventually 2 staff members sat at the tables with us.. I have emailed the establishment asking them to check the cameras to see if perhaps a staff member that was possibly behind the stealing of the phone (and thought they would be interest to know themselves), but after reading the reviews and seeing the replies from "management" on this platform, with poor grammar and defending abuse accusations from people against their staff without any follow up from their side, I know that this will not be looked into. Sadly, will therefore not return.

The music is terrible, Please change your DJ, my issue with this club is they only cater for a particular group of people which is quite sad. If the music was diverse I'm sure alot more people of color would be here.

My phone was stolen at this place on the 26th March and when I asked the staff; the owner came to me and grab me by the through and told me to leave the premises. I would really not recommend anyone to support this place and also want the owner to apologise his behaviour and the fact that I lost my cellphone. I felt no symphony from him and there for I have no eager to attend his establishment in the future. I would strongly advise others to not as well.

Very nice vibe! Will definitely go back. However, drinks are quite expensive, especially for locals and you pay entrance fee as well.

My very first time at a gay night club and color me impressed. The place was packed, the music was fabulous and the crowd was super lively. We had a blast on the dance floor! Bathrooms were very clean and drink service was quick. Only negative (and the reason for a 4 star instead of 5) is the weird cleaning lady constantly mopping around our feet as we try to dance and the barmen who were super agressive about you not standing at the bar if you weren't ordering or waiting for drinks, even if no one else was there. The vibe here rocks and I'll come back for that.

This place has never been on time, they give you an estimate of time, but never delivered as promised. This week I waited another 2 hours for my car and after a 4 hour car wash, they neglected the cleaning of the inside of my car. This place is all about money, they push quantity over quality, they recently had a price increase and the service is even worse now. Pathetic service! Rather safe your time and money and go and get a cleaner car somewhere else. I an this costs you more, because you also need to pay your parking ticket. Why will we ever wash here again! Worst car wash in Cape Town

I came here for the first time the other night on NYE. I had a really fun night but that is mostly attributable to the group I was with and the music was great. However what stood out the most for me about the experience was the fact that I had people mopping around my feet THE WHOLE NIGHT It made the whole experience so uncomfortable and I've never experienced anything quite like it. You are trying to dance and have a good time (after paying R150 entrance) and people keep intercepting your crew to mop around your feet - I've never experienced anything quite like it and probably wouldn't come again as it is so uncomfortable and awkward. It happened at least 7 - 10 times throughout the night.

This was the worst club I every been to!!! There weren’t many gay people, most of them were straight and the music was sooooooooo old, for example, rhythm is a dancer, I love you baby ect. Really don’t waste your time, is not worth it.

Amazing bartenders, clean toilets, both times I went there I had so much fun. The only issue I had is the bouncer at the vip section is just so rude, I’m shocked the managers haven’t rectified the issue. both times I’ve been there, he’s been rude and unprofessional. First time he was totally disrespectful towards my husband, the manager on duty “rectified” this by moving him to another VIP table. Second time, I was told by whoever handles their WhatsApp line, tables can be reserved by making prior payment, or a first come first basis, and booths could accommodate up to 20 people, we arrived too late to book a booth, but some people that had booked one offered to let us join their table and we were prepared to pay the extra fee, the bouncer rather rudely said max of 8 people allowed, I showed him the WhatsApp stating 11-20 allowed at increased fee, and he said he’s not aware of this. Most definitely not the kind of person you want to interact with on whats meant to be a fun night out. Super off putting. Everything else was great though.

I had such a fantastic night out at the Pink Candy. Super clean club, great music with attentive staff and a happy, diverse crowd. Security staff could be a bit friendlier.

4.1 rating is waaay underrated. One of the beat spots in cpt no doubt (veteran opinion- this place is easily top 10)

My friend was assaulted at this bar by the bouncer and the owner followed up with an onslaught of denial and abusive messages. He even took the review page down on their business Facebook page to avoid negative reviews. Doesn’t look like an isolated incident, judging by some of the responses here. Highly unprofessional.

Pink Candy is my home away from home. The staff are extremely friendly and make an effort to make sure you feel welcome. It is a clean and safe environment for anyone to have a fun time!

Horrible bouncers! Absolutely terrible! They were so aggressive, rude, unpleasant, unwelcoming, and incompetent. The whole atmosphere of the place was toxic and weird. The rest of the “club” was OK-ish, but definitely below average. Drinks were bad, staff even worse. In this condition, definitely not worth a visit. One of the worst queer spaces I’ve been to, with total disregard for their paying guests and zero attention to a safe space and environment.

Such a cool place to dance, let your hair down and feel safe doing it! Everyone is super friendly, the staff are amazing and I really loved how clean the place is. There are people mopping the floor the whole night and while I can see some people find this an inconvenience I thought is was amazing! The cleaners danced with us and made it fun and I didn't stick to the dance floor the whole night. This is probably my favorite place to go out in CT!
