The room we stayed in can hardly be self catering. Very small . Needs a good clean.

My Husband, My Mother In law and I stayed at Arumvale Lodge in Swellendam. We left Cape Town quite late and arrive at the lodge around 7pm. George was amazing. He even got charcoal ready for us just to braai and go to bed as we were already tired of the day work and the long road. The room overlooksย a beautiful valleyย with mountains in the background. We only stay for 1 night but the room was beautiful and the best part is that they are dog friendly. In the morning we took a dip in the pool and I am not sure if the pool is a heated pool as the water was not to cold. The pool was amazing. The staff is also very friendly. 5 stars for Arumvale for views, friendly staff and all the help we got just for 1 night.

We Stayed here for 1 night over a weekend. The 4 sleeper apartment is spacious and comfortable. The loft concept works well. The 2 x balconies offer amazing views of the countryside. The kitchen is well equipped and Neat. The bathrooms are comfortable and homely. There is a fireplace that provides ample heat and light ( we experienced load shedding during the night ) . The gardens are magical and the owners allow you to pick fresh fruits and vegetables. The owners are friendly, pleasant and relaxed. The house is located on a gravel road off of the main road. The farm next doors sells jams. The dams are located up the road and are worth a visit. Will be returning to Arumvale ๐Ÿ˜Š

Had an absolutely wonderfull weekend away, the guest cottage was the perfect home away from home. The cottage was clean and well stocked with firewood. The weather was a bit on the cold and rainy side but the view and a roaring fireplace made up for anything the weather could throw towards us. The hosts were stunning and I could not have asked for a better get away.

Fantastic host, the unit was beautiful, even the braai was filled with coal and blitz, milk in the fridge two different coffees to choose from, teas to choose, free WiFi, full DStv, all nestled and surrounded by beautiful mountains.

We had an amazing last minute stay with the team at Arumvale. The staff were really friendly and attentive and were amazing with our little kids. The room was very well appointed and we had a great stop over.

Really outstanding location, nice interior design with a great view on the mountain side and lovely garden. Pool and Barbecue are also available. Great staff, super friendly, caring and they gave us a lot of tips. They also helped us out regarding washing our clothes. Just beware of the dog as he might steel your shoes in case you keep them outside ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ups: the cottage was designed as per the Drostdy Museum, 17th/18th century style, very beautiful, The location is situated in a perfect spot with a mountain view ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ, the cottage has a fantastic view. The shower gel smells Devine. Loadshedding ready Braai stand with wood and coal provided,as well as matches Complementary tea/coffee and milk. Downs: the cottage is not child friendly for kids under 7 years, stairs are too steep, carpet has fluff, no bathtub. The wooden floor makes alot of noise

Awesome view, serene, wonderful area, accommodation was a bit smaller than we expected, but I suspect it was the last available and we were very happy to be there. Can do with an annual winter long weekend getaway ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’œ

Heavenly place with breathtaking views! We enjoyed every moment and wish we could have stayed for longer. The fireplace and braai were stacked and ready to just be lit. George was a great host and Carol really went above and beyond to courier our dog's favorite ball that got left behind back to us. Thanks a million for everything!
